In the Mississauga/Toronto area, the roads are generally very well maintained. It is a very urban area with several million people. In some of the city park areas, parking may be difficult to find as a nearby or neighborhoods are restricted. The drivers in this area are generally pretty good. Taking to the highways outside of the metropolitan area might show that large commercial trucks are allowed to drive down the left (fast) lane (or at least, if they are not allowed, they do that anyway).

You need a GPS, the jumbled overpass superhighway will confuse you and spit you out miles away from where you want to go if you mess up. Drivers are aggressive so buy your insurance in advance at your home town insurance company beforehand, they offer better coverage for using vehicles that arent yours than the purchased insurance packages from rental companies, also cheaper too!!

Great staff, quick processing and new SUV was a great experience. Only wish the car was cleaner when I picked it up. It was washed, but there was a lot of hard water stains all over including the side mirrors which made it difficult to use until I washed them. Besides that, was a great overall experience.

Please contact me on a rule change! I have been added to you rentals in the past as a second driver or used a corporate card to rent cards. Alamo did not allow me to use a card with anothe name and my ID to rent the car. They said the card and the DL had to be the same. I was able to rent a car in this fashion at a competitor.

Pick up and drop off were fine. I am very uneasy ,though, about the fact that the flash drive was removed from the car. I rented a Tesla Model Y, and having the flash drive in helps operating the dashcam which is vital when driving as well as saving the sentry mode clips which will serve as an evidence if anything happens. I have not yet recieved the final bill which is weird (I returned the car on Saturday Oct 14 th. I really want an explanation from Hertz on that.

Lovely counter service but I had ordered an economy car for the amount I was driving. They didn’t have any in stock and the next smallest car was an Audi SUV that takes premium gas. If I wanted an upgrade, I would have ordered one. Also didn’t appreciate the car letting me know I was past-due for service when I only had a two day rental period.

During booking, it wasn't noted that the pickup and drop off was only available at Terminal 1. We were flying in and out of Terminal 3 with lots of luggage. Had to commute between terminals with luggage. Added extra stress and time to an already long journey.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and seemed eager to make sure my whole experience was a positive one. The price was excellent, and check-out and check-in were quick, efficient, and simple. The location is a short shuttle-ride from the VIscount station, but was well worth it for the price I paid!

Total rip off like priceline who mentioned Unlimited kms on the invoice and then refused to refund me. They started showing me terms and policies when the Invoice clearly shows Unlimited kms. Spolied my trip. Lost my money and had to book another place. Waste of time. Terrible experience.

I did not even use the car rental online it said unlimited kms and when I got there the said only 200 kms and then they were not professional and argued with me and told me to leave the building how did they change me for a car that I did not even use

Car smelled really bad. Made me nauseous. Even opening windows did not help. The stench was that strong. They charged added daily fee because I chose to go with my own insurance. No other company does this. Also, this wasn't very clear when booking, it was a small very tiny half a sentence in the fine details of a click-on "additional information" on the booking. Very deceptive. Again, no other rental company charges this from my own personal experience.

The car definitely was never cleaned. Found leftover French fries, snack wrappers and receipts. The windshield washer fluid was also not checked (low level warning appeared after using it a couple of times) and the wiper blade was damaged (the rubber was falling off the blade). Vehicle should have a full inspection before being given to the customer.

I had an issue with the class of vehicle I was given. I returned it and they gave me the proper one and returned the difference in the money I had paid. The counter people were awesome. The people In the parking lot accepting returns and inspecting on the way out needed some finesse in their customer service.

The place where I pick up the van was like a zoo, the guy that took me to the car didn’t want to check the van for damage and I ask him to and he says every was ok at the exit they will do it. I left to the next guy and told him they are some indentation on the van and he says that everything was fine and I was never provide with a inspection slip. The van was filthy and with garbage from the previous person. Was never wash or clean after the last use. Had no choice but to take the van as I need it to travel for 3 hours . Price was insane for the value and the kind of van.

There are tons of hidden fees involved so the price advertised is not right - from premium location surcharge of $40 to all sorts of other hidden fees - I booked my car for $54 and ended up paying $289. The location is also not very easy to find.

They did not have a mini van despite me booking a minivan. I was provided with a kia store to suv which was not an equivalent or sufficient replacement. They were also dishonest with making me aware of the lack of minivan - they processed the paperwork and brought out the suv without my prior knowledge. It wasted a lot of time and I was late for my appointment in Ottawa.

Firstly, there was no phone number for NextCar at the airport to get shuttle. I eventually, after 3 or 4 calls, went outside and hoped I could get a number from one of the other companies drivers. Luckily, a NextCar shuttle showed up by chance. I was very frustrated. Then, at the rental desk I had issues with insurance for the car. That will be the last time I rent through NextCar or Rconomy.

Poor customer service. Had to call 3 times for shuttle from airport. When it arrived it was very run down and tired looking van. Interior dirty and seats wear not fassened down to floor properly. Once at office. Was sent to sit down and wait without staff willing to look at my reservation. After approaching 3 different staff ... finally found out they didn't have a car for my reservation and offered to refund any deposit if there was one. Several people in waiting room said they'd been waiting over an hour for their car. Reservation was booked on May 18th for a September 30th pickup. Very unorganized and unprofessional setup. Go to city car and truck rental instead!

- Pick up was confusing. I used the phone indicated to call the shuttle but it kept going to a voicemail that did not allow for connection with a person to let htem know that we were waiting. We spent about 20 minutes trying to sort out a way to contact them. -Car had 3/8 tank of gas, and we were expected to bring back with the same- which is quite difficult to target, and should be a full tank as per usual practices at other rental companies. -booking did not indicate that insurance was not included, so the price was ultimately double when I had to add basic insurance on arrival to the rental company.

It was a huge mistake to rent from this place. Stick to one of the more reputable companies at the airport. These people are not EZ they are a Canadian company renting on behalf of EZ and they are a RIP off.

Ease of booking and the customer service of the individual at the counter - didn't get his name but he was there at pick up and drop off and had us in and out within minutes! The car was great!

Cons:

Couldn't find contact info online so I had to drop in a week before just to confirm the location and details - didn't want to leave anything to the last minute. It's located opposite Square One beside the Novotel hotel.

We went to Canada for 2 days for Family Emergency Our flight was late I called Thrifty Rental explain everything They advise me don't worry When you arrived at Pearson Toronto Airport Your car shound be ready at airPort location We arrived At 4pm at Thrifty they told us we made a reservation at city location we have no cars available I have explain everything and everything to them I was so frustrated called the Taxi went to a city location they were closed.I call customer service Told my situation. They made a new reservation at Dollar rent a car at same location at Thrifty and dollar RENTAL where I was told they don't have any cars available By time We got back from city to airport Taxi cost me $100 and my new rental cost me $80 dollars extra From my original reservation and wasted one all day. Worst service ever.

Reservation was taken, talked to Thrifty customer service twice to confirm and adjust booking. I even talked to someone at the location directly about the reservation. I was called the day before the rental (I was driving my family to NY for a wedding), and they said no van was available, and on top of it, there wasn't one available until Sept when my booking was for Aug 16. Garbage service, no accountability, poor customer relations. I would recommend that nobody uses them.. if there was a rating lower than poor, I would select that.

I found out the day before my rental started that the office closes at 5:30pm. My flight didn't land until after 7pm so I would've been stuck there. Rediculously poor. had to cancel and book with another company at twice the price. Unreliable. The website lets you choose pick up times after the office closes. Never again will I book with this company.

Great guys, there are not located at the airport but the shuttle arrived quickly and it took around 5 minutes to get to their office. They also brought us back to the airport when we returned the car. The whole procedure for picking up/dropping off took 10-15 minutes.

This is a fraud a scam company, I rented the car for 470$ for a month I have local insurance and oscpe 27 that covers rental he said he needs an insurance transfer fee of 300$. This is illegal, very bad company. I went to another company I paid same amount they checked my insurance and do not let me pay anything extra.

EVERYTHING was a disaster! You should improve and avoid some of the awful things happened to us that made the worst rental car experience ever: "The hidden cost, their location far away of the airport, their unavailability to wait for us, they being out of contact, leaving us without car for 24 hours with all the logistic problems created, the unclear terms, the lack of customer service at all..."

Do not book with Fox Car Rental. I waited for over an hour for their shuttle and it never showed up. They do not answer their phone either. They are not even affiliated with corporate so they can not help with any issues and tell you to deal with it yourself. Easily the worst experience. Ended up having to book with another car rental along with 4 other families left waiting.
