It is straightforward process and the staff is very friendly and helpful. At the moment they are a little understaffed, so not always all desks are occupied and I had to travel to a different terminal to pick up the car.

Due to staffing pressure, vehicle wasn't at the International arrivals as intended. Short bus over to domestic to find the rental desk again unattended, but directing us to carpark. Staff upon arrival there were fantastic, and despite the vehicle that we had booked being unavailable, the team happily found a suitable alternative (an upgrade for us)

Pick up at the airport and drop off were all very quick and efficient. staff were great and fast. Expect an upsell for the insurance. Car was great (we got an I30). Should ensure you know where the petrol stations are before dropping car back as the closest ones are a couple of kilometers away! It wasn't until we got our confirmation email that we understood that picking up the car was going to be 6km away and that we would have to catch a free shuttle bus from the airport. This would have been good to know upfront at the time of booking. Whilst it wasn't inconvenient it was a surprise. It is better business practice to disclose the company you are hiring from too, Overall we had no issues with our transaction.

From the very beginning to end. our experience was perfect. The ladies at Apex Brisbane were very hospitable and professional. Picking us up from the airport in a very clean and tidy van, paper work was quick and easy. We felt very well taken care of. I will definitely be using them again and will highly recommend them to family and friends as well. I am also extremely happy with Kayak's awesome and affordable vehicle deals, which makes holidays more memorable!! Very much appreciated. Thank You. Anne U

You charged for a car I never hired

Pros:

The original lady i spoke to at Hendra was excellent. However had to make several calls to get advice on repairs to puncture i had recieved. Phone Brisbane office which then transfers you to Hendra where you have to wait lengthy waits at both places. Very frustrating.

Cons:

The actual cost was more than i expected in fact double because of insurance costs. Plus i had half a day getting a puncture repaired as tyre dealers didn't have the unusual size that Hyudai have put on there latest cars.

Had to wait nearly 2 hours for the car. We were never told about the fuel top up and got charged a crazy amount, $4 per litre. Not a good experience, would not recommend. Also still got charged for the 2 hours when they didn’t have the car ready.
