When to visit Faro
Looking for warm weather? Then head to Faro in July, when the average temperature is 24 °C, and the highest can go up to 29 °C. The coldest month, on the other hand, is January, when it can get as cold as 7 °C, with an average temperature of 12 °C. You’re likely to see more rain in December, when precipitation is around 116 mm. In contrast, July is usually the driest month of the year in Faro, with an average rainfall of 2 mm.

Plane
When flying to Faro, you’ll arrive at Faro Algarve Airport (FAO), which is located 3 km from the city centre.
Train
Comboios de Portugal is the only carrier operating train routes to Faro. The train journey from Faro to Lisbon takes 3h 00m and costs around S$ 23 for a one-way ticket. When coming by train from Porto, expect to pay about S$ 41 for a 5h 51m trip. Located 9 km from the city centre, Faro Parque Das Cidades is the busiest station in Faro. Another popular train station is Estação Ferroviária de Faro, located 0.8 km from the centre.
Car
Another option to get to Faro is to pick up a car hire from Lisbon, which is about 216 km from Faro. You’ll find branches of Klass Wagen and UNITED RENT A CAR, among others, in Lisbon.
Bus
Several bus lines operate bus routes to Faro, including FlixBus, rede expressos and ALSA. From Seville, the bus ride to Faro takes 249 km and will cost you around S$ 30. From Lisbon, the ticket costs about S$ 18 for a journey of 306 km. The most popular bus station is Faro Av. Prof. Dr. Adelino Da Palma Carlos, 13C, located 1.1 km from the city centre of Faro. Faro Faro Bus Station is also a commonly used station, and is 0.7 km from the city centre.
