The building was not even close to being clean. The entire floor smelled like burnt food. There were stains everywhere in the hotel. All over the carpet in the lobby, hallways, and even our room. There were stains all over our furniture. Our furniture looked like it uad been eaten on. The computer chair had duct tape all over it. The room was 78° when we got in. When we tuned the AC on, it sounded like it was gonna break. There were cracks in our bedroom ceiling. And there was black residue of some kind on our bed. We were so upset at the cost of $165 that we paid, we booked a room somewhere else and we checked out because it just felt so disgusting.
This place is poorly maintained. The evening reception was warm-ish hot dogs, disgusting fries, and fountain sodas. I had to locate my own ketchup, napkins, etc. Luckily it was easy to find. The room…ugh…no bar soaps in bathroom - so wash your hands with shampoo…I asked the front desk for soap and it was going to be delivered…never was. The refrigerator and dishwasher were both SO LOUD. The toilet leaked all night and the door lock/latch didn’t work, so I used luggage to keep the bedroom door closed. The staff are nice but can’t help it if the facilities aren’t maintained. And the hallways had trash everywhere. They should invest in large trash cans in numerous places on each floor. And breakfast…don’t bother for poured eggs, sausage and yogurt. Sorry to say I’ll never be back.
Pros:Convenient downtown location with reasonable proximity to most points of interest by walk or quick cab ride. Clean and modern facilities. Hot breakfast for free--not gourmet but hey, it beats any cold continental breakfast or having to schlep to some restaurant and pay them $10 to feed you. Free WiFi, again a value compared to some of the other hotels nearby. Comfortably beds, couch and desk area. Kitchen suite was sweet. Robin, at the reception desk, was very friendly and helpful.
