Pros:Easy to get to by the metro, this hotel was a great value. Very nice rooms and a friendly staff, I very much enjoyed my stay. Easy walking to restaurants, the Jing An Temple and shopping.

Pros:The hotel is modern and almost perfectly located in the Jing'An district of Shanghai. It is a 5 min walk to the Subway station and around the corner from a number of great eateries both Chinese and Western. Travel time to places like the Bund/Concessions and Financial District are less than 30 mins by Taxi even less by Subway. Most of the staff speak some English which was not always the case in other 5-star hotels in China. Concierge was well informed and more helpful than the average as well. Another reviewer mentioned that they didn't like the hard beds. I like the firm, yet comfortable mattresses they have.
Cons:All 5-star hotels in China provide you with two bottles of drinking water per day. Swissotel's bottles were actually half-bottles. This is really nit-picking but I couldn't think of anything else I didn't like!

Pros:Modern, clean and efficient. Good location and public transportation, such as the MRT Subway, is just a few steps away.
Cons:The main restaurant on the 2nd floor offers an excellent buffet breakfast with great international food variety ; however, the staff needs to be more pro-active to ensure an efficient service. On several occasions there were no tables available, not because they were occupied by other guests but because they were not clean. The waiters, seems to be waiting for something to happen because some of them are not pro-active enough, seems they are waiting for instructions, or maybe they prefer to remain in their "comfort zone".

Cons:AC & Heater is very noisy (it won't allow you to sleep at night), Bathroom has see through window so no privacy from the room, beds are very hard, not enough plugs for computers, iPhones, iPads, etc.
