Really clean and good for the price. Only negatives were awkward bathroom sliding door and hearing footsteps from surrounding rooms. But otherwise felt like a safe location and front desk staff was friendly.

"They" say you get what you pay for -- I always get more than I pay for at Good Nite. The room at the Buena Park, CA motel was very clean, quiet*, mattress just right, everything worked, no bugs. Very cool: the bathroom door was "barn-style", sliding back&forth. Staff friendly and efficient. I'm a fan of Good Nite and use it for business trips if possible. *The only problem was not the fault of the motel. A, shall we say, super-hyper person stomped and paced back&forth all night and was still at it when I left at 7:30am. I was so tired from a long, challenging day that I slept through most of it but was awakened several times. I didn't want to call downstairs and be kept awake if they confronted him and it created a commotion that involved calling the police; just wanted to sleep. Let the front desk know about it when I checked out and she said they'd send security up. Coffee excellent!

Pros:The room was clean and comfortable. I was upgraded to a room with a refrigerator at no extra charge. The front desk person was very nice.
Cons:I stayed at this hotel for about a week while I was having plumbing problems worked on at my home, so this was not leisure or business, essentially just using the hotel to have a place to shower at, and I never did sleep there so I wanted a relatively cheap hotel. The hotel is actually right next to a few eating places that we had frequented, so I felt like I knew the area and it was okay. Well, I was wrong about that. I would say it did not feel safe to go in and out of at night. Right outside the entry door, which you must use if you are using the elevator, they have a few benches for a smoking area. In the evening there was always a group of 3 to 4 people who hung out there to smoke and drink. They appeared as though they were living at this hotel. I got the feeling this was a hotel people stay at that are otherwise homeless, which isn't bad, but didn't feel comfortable either for a family. I would have never stayed here for an actual vacation. One night as I went out to my car, there was a man doing something from the trunk of his car next to mine, and he had left his drivers door open which made it impossible for me to get to my door. His lady friend was sitting inside the car, and obviously extremely high. I just wanted to get into my car and go, he started yelling and screaming at me that I shouldn't have parked so close to him. Obviously, I was not that close, he was able to leave his door fully opened up. It was very intimidating and scary, I have never had someone just start yelling at me like that before for no real reason, that I didn't even know, so creepy. This was an emergency stay, it was cheap, and as they say, you get what you pay for, but I won't be going back and am thankful I have a home to go to at the end of the day.
