While the hotel is circa 1980s decor, the place is very good. Comfortable room with a balcony, spotlessly clean, very nice breakfast, beautiful fountain courtyard, nice pool and game room, peaceful at night with a room facing the neighborhood but maybe louder on the side facing the courtyard if lots of people are booked. Well worth the money.
Repaving on a local road meant an odd detour but not a problem with mapquest.

Parking. If you want to time travel to seventies, this place is the hit! Almost like Dirty Dancing movie..
Staff did not talk English, German, French, and their Spanish was more Portugese.. wifi passwords were in the room, but connection really was not in last room on corridor. Who parks a tractor just under a hotel window and starts it at 7 in the morning?

The property advertised a restaurant on site. Given the hotel is 6km from Aveiro, we were very disappointed to find the restaurant closed due to a village celebration. We would have gone elsewhere had we been advised beforehand. They did have email address after all. The staff either couldn’t or didn’t want to understand English, so it was difficult to explain first hand.The pool was also taken over on the first day by village people.
