Avra City Hotel

This hotel is a great find. The location is 3 minute walk to the market and old town Chania.The rooms are small, simple and perfect for our travels. They are immaculately clean with updated bathrooms. The staff are so warm and friendly. They are always so happy to talk to you and offer suggestions. The breakfast buffet was good and had variety. The beds were comfortable. There was a table and chairs in the balcony which were great for drying out our clothes from the beach. Apparently they will be doing more renovations this winter. This is not 5 star luxury but it is a great place for a good night's sleep and a great location.

The parking lot is tiny for a mud size car.

Absolutely everything about this hotel stirs positive vibes! It is very chic (without being kitsch), it is very modern without being too cold, everything is super clean (but never clinical) and above all - the service is 7 stars! It was a thrill - it puts 'H' into hotels and hospitality! Well done!

We enjoyed our stay at Avra. We liked the fact it was a very well kept and quiet boutique hotel in the middle of the city. The room was very clean, cool and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The Apivita toiletries were a pleasant surprise. :)

Small and very elegant hotel in a rather quiet area and yet at a walking distance to the old part of the town. Our room overlooked a beautiful garden whose ficus is worth seeing. It also has some goats in it : ) Very nice and friendly staff.

Heavy room keyring. Breakfast could do with a few details e.g. fresh fruit salad.

Super friendly helpful staff throughout. Reception staff great- nothing was too much trouble and it felt they really wanted to make our stay a good one. Breakfast and housekeeping staff too. Lovely decor, stylish and classy. Very good quality bed linen which I always appreciate. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and I especially liked the orange juice machine where you squeeze fresh oranges. Delicious and a great start to the day! Location was a little further out than I expected but Old Town was about 5-10 mins to reach on foot and harbour front the same so not too far. Great shops on doorstep and lovely shady park next door.

The underground car park was very small and tight. We have an Audi Q5 and wouldn’t have got it in there. Luckily the hire car was smaller but lots of scrape marks showed many have had issues with it as well. Apart from that it was excellent.
