Pros: Well priced, easy access and flexible extension

Pros: Good new car, ran well and was clean.
Cons: Was told to return car with full gas tank. When got in car, gas tank was actually at half. Contacted pick-up office, and they were going to change all documentation. When I arrived at drop-off location, documentation had not been changed and slowed down return process.

Not bad if you like driving a garbage truck
Pros: It was easy to get in and out of the facility.
Cons: The car we picked up clearly hadn't been cleaned as there was still dirt, sand, and dead bugs throughout the car. This may have also contributed to the musty odor within the car. I expected a vehicle in better condition from a company like Budget. At least a clean vehicle wouldn't be too much to ask for.

A matter of taste
Pros: I have rented several times from Budget and driven great cars. This time I got a Chevy Malibu and the car was extremely uncomfortable. I only had it for one day but I wouldn't have wanted to make a long trip in it.

Pros: It was easy to pick up and drop off
Cons: Did not like that everything on the dashboard was in sanish...did not have time to read the directions to change to English.
Cons: Failed to have my reserved vehicle causing me to rent a car from another company at 10 times the original rental rate. Not $10. Orders of magnitude. Then demonstrated no concern over not having vehicle. Should be sued by the attorney general.
Pros: we got an upgrade at no cost
The price was reasonable
Cons: Hertz desk was extermely slow with 4 people waiting in line .It took us 45 minutes to get out of the airport.
The car knocked and I felt like something was going to fall out of it

Given car with tire problem and forced to pay for
Pros: The employees were really nice at the Hilton Head desk.
Cons: However, I was given a car with "branches that needed to be removed from the undercarriage." Yet the staff said it was the only car they had available for me. It had only 3/4 a tank of gas even though the paperwork said it was full. It still had trash in it from the last people. It was clear that it hadn't been properly inspected. About an hour later, the car gets a flat tire. I'm forced to pay for a new tire because as they put it "I couldn't prove there was a pre-existing issue." Maybe not, but if the car had been properly inspected, this might have been prevented. Overall, disappointed with the poor customer service from the call center and the drop-off location in Miami, the lack of thoroughness in Hilton Head, and the attitude of "its not our problem unless you can prove it."
Cons: Huge line. Booked few hours earlier but they had no record of my booking. Had to wait for clerk to call her manager, leave a voice mail, then wait for him to call back in order to get a car. Didn't get the car I wanted. Didn't get a receipt, temporary registration, or any documentation from Alamo or Kayak. Initially told car had a full tank but was only half full. The clerk also told me the insurance I bought through Allianz didn't cover damage to the car despite that being incorrect, then she charged be for Alamo insurance without my consent which I had to call to get a charge back a few days later to correct. Terrible experience.
