Riad Taryana

The hotel and room were both beautiful, which is why it's too bad the people at the front desk are trying to hustle their guests out of money. When we told them we would be eating breakfast in a cafe outside instead of their 5 euro hotel breakfast they tried everything to make us pay -- first saying what a good deal it was (it wasn't) and then trying to say we agreed to pay it as part of our Booking reservation (this isn't part of any Booking reservation). They also tell everyone that if they want to see the medina they have to hire a guide through them. This is a lie, anyone can walk around the medina without a guide. Our room heater also stopped working after the first night and no one was able to fix it. The tragic part is that the rooms are so nice that they could just charge more and it would still be worth it, and then they wouldn't have to hustle the guests.

Nice, authentic and clean room, in the middle of old town. Very nice hotel building and helpful hosts.

The room is a bit dark and the breakfast a bit boring.

The hospitality from this Riad was great. The man that worked there was friendly and always willing to help. Mohammed the owner/manager was also very helpful in organizing a tour from Fes to Volubilis and Meknes. He went out his way to find others to go on the tour with us to help keep the cost down and an enjoyable day was had by all. The rooms were a standard Riad and were kept in a clean state. Breakfast was a traditional Moroccan one and was filling. Overall a good stay and made more than welcome by workers.

The only downside to Riad Taryana was the WiFi connection was rather poor in the room we had. The router was located in the main area and had to put phone out the room window for it to connect sometimes.
