La Badira

Everything was okay but there is something that really bothered me. I wear the hijab and at the hotel they don't let people swim with a burkini or with fully covered swimsuit in the pool. It makes you feel so excluded and unwelcome, and it leaves you with a bad feeling. It took away from our good experience at La Badira because we didn't get to enjoy swimming together. Alot of other Muslim women we met at the hotel were having the same experience. It is just sad and mean for them to be excluded this way

Don't believe the hype... this hotel only has the ambitions of luxury, not the ability. The hotel double charged me prior to my stay, debiting my Canadian credit card twice. The error was discovered by me, not the hotel. I had to contact booking.com to investigate. The hotel initially said there was no mistake and I was charged only once. It took them a while to realize the error. Upon arrival, I was expecting a word of apology or at the very least an acknowledgement of my inconvenience, however I was simply handed the keys. I had to go back to the lobby to ask for a status on my overcharge of close to 1000 tnd. I was made aware that the amount was credited to my room for my use, and the difference will be reimbursed upon checkout, meaning they basically got an interest free loan from me. What they "forgot" to mention is that the reimbursement would be done in dinars, a currency that cannot be exchanged back in dollars. Two days before my flight back home, I am stuck with hundreds of dinars with no use for them. Again, no apologies or gesture of goodwill from the receptionist, only being told that they cannot reimburse in euros, or refund my credit card, my only option are the dinars. Incredibly disappointing and a serious impact for me. This disastrous experience was not compensated by an overall average hotel, charging way above average prices.
