3 miles from the airport, the 43-story Mandalay Bay Resort sits on 60 acres at the south end of the Strip; a complimentary monorail connects it to the Luxor and Excalibur hotels.
Pros: Loved the beds, and the roomsCons: That it took over 2 hours to check in. That the great pool, was wall to wall people, so really hard to enjoy. Smelled of weed when we got off the elevators.
Overpriced and not as many amenities anymorePros: Rooms are spacious and plenty to do on propertyCons: Coffee maker in room but charge for coffee? No robes, low quality towels. Seems Mandalay lost a step when they used to be great.
I love Mandalay BayPros: The hotel is gorgeous, food is amazing, comfortable rooms with giant tubs! It's great
Pros: Lovely comfortable roomsCons: 4 star hotels without coffee making facilities in the room are a joke
Cons: Housekeeping was sloppy.
$14 glass of wine at video poker; unheard of.
Beautiful hotelPros: The rooms were clean and spacious! The pools were all amazing, we especially loved the wave pool and lazy river. The food at the House of Blues at the hotel and the grill by the pools was AMAZING!Cons: It took 45 minutes to check in due to a long line. Also, the walls are very thin within the rooms. The family with young children were bickering the entire time and we heard every word. You pay a lot for the room, the resort fee and also to park, but I guess that's how everywhere is these days.
First time at Mandalay Bay and will return soonPros: Every single employee was so nice and thanked me for staying at Mandalay Bay. After all of the heart ache and anguish that these employees have dealt with, they went over the top to thank me! I say Thank you Mandalay Bay employees and God bless you and Las Vegas!
Pros: Fun dealersCons: Worst check-in experience i ever had.
Mandalay Bay Hotel Is The Best!!!Pros: I always love staying here, fast check in check out no problem, friendly staff. Casino , clean room I had a great view of the pool/beach, room service wasn't a long wait and great entertainment. Saw Janet Jackson show so i really enjoyed my stay here. Looking forward to staying at Mandalay on my next visit to Las Vegas Cons: No complaints here!
Not worth the time.Pros: The crab legs.Cons: The line to check in was 2 hours long. The car was damaged in the parking garage. WiFi was not secure. Pay $5:00 to use the coffee maker. Restaurants all cost more than they were worth. Management seemed indifferent to all customers. Never even heard anybody win on the slot machines. Our room needed a rug doctor. The only guests that smiled were shooting cocaine.
Plush Stay w/ zero issuesPros: Clean Room, everything worked, lots of amenities, no issues, fast check in, great access to food and gamesCons: I guess lots of hotels in Vegas are now charging to self park in the massive parking structures...just a year ago it seemed they were all free???
Mandalay is great but too many fees that they try to hidePros: $76 room rateCons: $35 mandatory resort charge when I was just looking to spend the night with my son as we drove from LA to Park City. We had no time nor intention to do anything other than sleep in our bed.
$12 overnight parking for self-parking. I have stayed at Delano and Mandalay many times and don't ever recall being previously charged nor even having to pull a ticket for self-parking.
Thus, my $76 rate was over $150 all-in w/ taxes and non-advertised charges.
