Pros: Almost everything else was worth it. The customer service, breakfast, bedroom. The hotel was very well lit and decorated for Christmas under the theme "greatest show ever" with full carousel on display and shows enacted. Breakfast was superb, with a full spread of meats, live chef cooking omelettes, breads, fruits, teas, coffees. Its worth adding on breakfast with room. Restaurant on site provided delicious meals, with live cooking. Bedroom was very big with two beds for my accommodation, bathroom was big as well with walk in shower. Bathrobes and bedroom slippers provided. A plus for me. Bathrobes also needed for spa. Mini bar and tea facilities in the room. Staff were very professional and accommodating especially spa staff, who was able to provide full body scrubs although not previously booked with Swedish massages. This hotel has one of the biggest spa facilities, with cold baths, jacuzzi style pools, showers, ice bath as well.

Cons: Spa was very costly. Daily valet Parking is also quite expensive. No self service laundry close by, only paid laundry by hotel. Air was quite warm in the room and would not cool. Made sleeping very difficult. Not enough bathroom amenities for two or more persons.

The breakfast offered a variety of choices (healthy as well). The gym was decent and the spa was fantastic. The hotel offers a wet sauna, dry sauna and an impressive jacuzzi. We didn't go in the outdoor pool, however it also looked inviting. The hotel was very clean. The location of the hotel was a bit away from the center, however was an excellent challenge for avid walkers and only a short ride by taxi.

Cons: The only thing that didn't impress was the club lounge (our room had club lounge access). The first 2 times we entered, the only food available was a tray of cookies. The 3rd visit produced a plate of fruit. It would have been nice if they offered some cheeses or cut vegetables. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Pros: This hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. They want you to believe it is, but it isn´t!! No way, probably 3 stars and has some things that a 2 star hotel offers. The breakfast at the IBIS (2-3 stars) is better!!!!!!! NO TV IN OTHER LANGUAGES, nothing in English (only BBC Entertainment, I mean CNN, BBC, SkyNews), nothing in French, German or even Spanish!!!!!!!!!! Good grief, it´s supposed to be a 4 star hotel!! TOO MUCH NOISE, the airplanes fly directly overhead, and the hotel is on the corner of busy streets, so you hear motorcycles, cars and ambulances, everything!! Way too noisy with the window open. If you close the window, only the fan works, no heating or air conditioning that is appreciable, and it was a little warm in the room as you can only open the window on a crack. Bathtub DID NOT DRAIN. Towels are not the quality of a 4 star hotel. Since the design of the room leads you to believe it´s a 4 star hotel, I guess they are fooling tourists that don´t know the difference, but I´ve never seen a 4 star hotel like this. Cons: This is not a 4 star hotel!!! Noise from airplanes all day. Poor breakfast. Cold coffee, green/overcooked eggs and dry bread. Noisy aircondition in the rooms. And to top it all bedbugs ind the bed. The staff tried to make up for it bringing free cake(one cake for two persons), biscuits and a bottle of water. We asked for another room and got it. But instead of bringing cakes they should have upgrated us og at least offered to pay for the farmacy bill. The hotel is located too far from anything. Even the metro stop is a long walk from the hotel.

Cons: It was not far from São Sebastião metro, which is a good area with the Gulbenkian park and many shops, but around 12 min walk. A bit closer to praça de Espanha metro too, only problem is that really close there were just hotels and roads , had a feeling to be out of town

Cons: King room was very small. Old bathroom and shower doesn’t work properly. Very hard to keep the water warm. We hat to open wide the windows after showring because the bedroom was full of steam. The guy at the check insisted too much on bringing up our luggage to get a tip. It was unnecessary and annoying.

Cons: No coffee and tea facilities in the room. The breakfast room quite small and staff running around for no reason. Sometimes, I noticed, getting in guests way, while they were trying to get food. For a moment you feel that you are in the staff way, and makes you feel uncomfortable as a guest. A particular table close to the kitchen, you can hear everything’s that is going and conversations between the team. Just because the majority of the guests are coming from abroad, it doesn’t mean that some cannot understand the language. Something that should be noted, as mocking guests is not the most pleasant think to hear from staff, this including waiters as well as a manager/ supervisor , on that particular morning. Overall, that was my main issue, observing the way the team was operating breakfast. It feels like you are not able to rest while enjoying, which is for me , the best meal of the day.

Pros: Plenty of electric outlets - by the desk, by the bed, in the bathroom. Enough for a multitude of electronics to be moved around as conveniently as possible. The room had a large set of hangers - both for jackets and trousers, as well as a personal iron and ironing board.

Cons: This hotel had a worn out, grungy feel to it. In the bathroom, instead of toiletries, there was a note saying you could ask the desk for anything you need. The carpet in the hallways was ancient and grungy. Nothing felt especially clean.

Cons: The overall condition of the hotel was poor, quite dirty and the rooms (we asked for a change) were quite "beaten up". The carpets were stained, dust everywhere and the bathrooms need a good cleaning with new caulking in around the shower.The staff we found to have "low moral" which may be a direct result from poor management. Which is quite disappointing as some were quite nice. It just seems like the owners of the hotel (who ever they may be) have given up in terms of the basics. Not a 5 star by all means; this hotel needs a big wake up!
