Cons: I don't know why English hotels do stays without breakfast ! Look at how the Irish hotels do it. Adding breakfast at 30 pounds is a real turn off ! No buffet breakfast in the world could cost that to supply? Maybe look at this to be a little different.

Pros: Clean and quiet, room and bathroom is fairly spacious for hotel at London. Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast is rather good and I like the buffet in particular.
Cons: The bathroom basin clogged a bit, it took quite a while to drain the water every time after I washed my hands. As a person who pay attention to details I also noted the pencil provided in my room had a broken lead. I had no intention to use the pencil at all but I reckon such issue maybe regarded as a cons for some others.
7.5 Good
Pros: location was fantastic, Bar was good but breakfast was only so so Air Conditioning was GREAT
Cons: shower was a bit lacking in design.. water gets everywhere. again poor design

Pros: The location is nice but a little bit far away from Bayswater Station - in fact you need a 10 minute walk. However, generally it is convenient and I like the location as this is next to the Hyde Park - a 20 minute walk and you can go to Marble Arch or the legendary Harrods. The room is not small and the bathroom is clean.
Cons: I think the only drawback is that the location is not easy to find without google map - The lift is not very big and bigger luggage will be problematic.

Pros: I ended up arriving early, and the staff went out of their way to clean the room so I could settle in. The morning/day person at the desk was very helpful in arranging a car service for me as well!
Cons: The room was fairly clean but the bathroom had some hairs on the floor still. Might be because they rushed to clean for me!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. The people next door were making a lot of noise, when I complained, a young man came and said he couldn't do anything. The next morning, cleaning staff knocked on my door super early despite me having a sign up that said do not disturb. The room was super tiny and the bathroom sink was incredible unpracticle - so deep that it splashes water everywhere
5.0 Okay
Pros: The atmosphere was good. The light when eating breakfast was good.
Cons: Cost is high compared to location and room size. The lack of reception does not work in terms of operation.
7.1 Good
Pros: Close to Paddington station.
Cons: Room was super small. There is no room for laguage, as well there is no place to unpack your wardrobe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really delcious and there is a good variety you can choose from.
Cons: There were not enough clothes hooks and storage space (e.g. shelf boards) where we could put our things.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stylish, excellent amenities, friendly and efficient staff. Location. Excellent breakfast (not included in my price, but glad I ate there).
Cons: Noise at night from street (single glazed windows). Small room hard to access with heavy luggage (NB: staff did help on arrival). Seemed poor value for small room.

Pros: Position++,comfortable bed, quiet, scrupulously clean
Cons: Probably would be nicer to have a better reception area
7.1 Good
Pros: Good value but the rooms are to small to sell them as medium!
Cons: The size of the room. Ridiculous!
8.8 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Although, it is a very nice hotel. If you are looking for a quite good night sleep, this is not the place for you. Because it is in front of paddington station and the walls and windows are thin.

Great amenities in terms of the pool, fitness center, etc. There is also a great coffee machine in the breakfast room. The staff were relatively friendly overall. Housekeeping staff were so friendly and funny. They could be working the front desk!
Cons: The WiFi was basically not working at all unless you were in the lobby. The pool had no shallow end so not good for children or short people. The shower in the ladies locker room was broken. The pillows were not comfortable at all. The mattresses are firm which wasn’t good or bad. I wasn’t keen on the mojito my bartender made me either. I would absolutely stay here again but these were the things I didn’t like. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the hotel but the kids menu is good for kids (I have a 20 month old)

Pros: Nice reception staff, very efficient and professional. Ok size room for normal standards, but this is London so compared to what you get in this city, it is enormous. Plus the pool and steam room were a nice bonus to clear the head in the morning.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty tepid. Why can't you keep hot items properly hot? And why are crispy fried foods kept in a closed container so they just go soggy and greasy? I don't know why London hotels only offer English breakfasts too; the rest of Europe manages to provide a whole range of fresh, healthy choice and for much better price.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is close to Paddington station and the London heathrow express terminal. Has a wonderful pool, comfortable beds and nice service
Cons: Automatically brought bottles still water at restaurants
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: Small room tight fit for a family of 4. Weathered wormed towels.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel is very good.. 10min walk from Paddington Station... Sainsbury's and coffee shops and restaurants are just 3-4 min walk
Cons: We stayed in novotel Paddington for four nights... room was neat and clean but small compare to others, we were expecting more good in the price that we were paying...for 200 pounds per night they should give one water bottle at least otherwise everything's was good... Its more like business hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Very close to Paddington and great selection of restaurants and bars around the main square area. Very quiet at night also.
Cons: Rooms could have more storage and also when the sofa bed was up there was very little room to even walk about. Would suggest occupancy max should be 3 not 4 as advised.

Pros: Modern, clean, helpful and friendly staff Location close to good dining and easy to get around the city from here

Pros: The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.

Pros:
Cons: There was a odor coming from the shower drain. It was too warm in the room and we could not cool it off without opening windows
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very clean and very nice looking the location is good but expect 10 -15 min to the tube if you walk slow and easy staff is nice and breakfast is a fair price and good value for money beds were nicely made up and sheets were very clean
Cons: noise isolation is not the best, it's a good thing it's in a quiet location , but still work in the street ( garbage disposal or something ) in the street outside woke my wife up some days ( we were in the 4th floor) mattress was a bit too hard for our taste ( we didn't complain about any of these to the hotel staff ... it could be that they could have done something not sure)
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed very comfy
Cons: Very dark decor
3.3 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Rude staff!! Key was changed each day. Blow dryer didn’t work but was told 3 times I didn’t know how to use it. Been blowing my hair dry for 45 years pretty sure I know how to use one. Horrible hotel. Do not stay there!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, boutique hotel on a quiet street close to the Hyde park and 10 min walk from the Paddington station. We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no charge and it was a very pleasant bonus. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was welcoming a friendly.
Cons: They have 2 breakfast options: continental or hot English. We had a continental included in the price. There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is my third time staying at this hotel, love the location and this time I got upgraded to a suite!
Cons: I wished they would allow for earlier check in times.

Pros: Stayed for one night after arriving from a 24 hour flight. I requested a quiet room which I was given. Explored the area a little and found lots of lovely eaterys and pubs close by. Nice coffee pod machine in lobby for guests was appreciated. Staff were kind and helpful- yes, if staying in London, I would book again. Easy access to Paddington station- it's a moderate 10-15min walk, but lovely to see the beautiful potted flowers and gorgeous bulidings on our stroll. Metro(underground) and busses also easliy accessable. I found it really expensive for single trips on the Metro, so invest in a Oyster card if staying for more than one day.

Pros: Location
Cons: I was put in a room for disabled without being told and therefore I did not know what the red ropes were for and pulled them and then had three members of staff in my room. On a Sunday morning when you people tend to sleep late, a member of staff knocked on my room door at 9.30 to slip the checkout express paper when he could have just slipped it without waking me up. The cushions have a bad smell.

Pros: Location
Cons: When I was there, around 10 am there were announcements made over and over again about there’s an emergency and we are required to evacuate. I waited for a while as normally when there is one there would be people coming and checking on the occupants and that time there were none. The announcement did not stop so I decided to evacuate my room which was on 7th floor. I didn’t see anyone evacuating during that time. Upon reaching the ground floor I didn’t see anyone except one guy in a safety vest and hard hat. I asked him, were there a fire drill or real fire? He said yes and I asked where are the rest? Then he led me to an exit which leads to Paddington station. He asked me do you know where you are... I said of course.. Well obviously there’s no drill or fire. No one bothers to inform me. Please inform your customers’ accordingly as I don’t want to evacuate my room unnecessarily especially when I have to go down 7th flights down.

Pros: We had gone down for a charity swim in the Serpentine and the hotel was in an ideal location to where we needed to be. Our swim was early so although we missed out on breakfast we were still able to come back to the hotel to shower thanks to the later checkout.
Cons: There could have been better/ clearer parking facilities. Also the one lift was very small but okay for single use.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location at the top of Hyde Park, twenty mins walk to the shops of Oxford St.
Cons: Checked in and was met with a queue and also no welcome just a response of do you have ID for the room. We only booked the standard rooms, four of them and they were pretty basic and cramped for a hotel hitting £150plus a night. Wouldn’t stay again. I’d probably use some of the other smaller hotels and save some money. Expectations were higher than what was realised with this hotel. Also got woken up at 7.30 with a maintenance person knocking on next door for what seemed like minutes with no discretion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, outstanding staff, beautiful architecture, bus stop and Underground a few hundred feet away. If traveling by Underground from Heathrow to the hotel, get off at the Lancaster Gate Station.
Cons: If you are from the US, they do not provide wash clothes with the towels. Mattress soft and worn in the middle. Full size bed is smaller than USA full staff.

4.6 Okay
Pros: The Hall. There is a huge contrast between the Hall of the hotel that seems very luxuous and the room
Cons: The room was very small with no view, poor light, window with dificcult open and with translucid glass, dirty view to the back of the hotel with noisy machines; small toilet; the light enters from the borders of the entrance door; bad cleaning. It was very claustrophobic. There is a very contrast between the Hall of the hotel that seems very luxuous and the room. Unbelievable in actual times. Just went to the room to sleep every day, we stayed in the Hall the rest of time stayed in hotel. It was not possible to change room; listened other clients also contested some rooms, not know what or what exactly. Our room was 308. We felt discomfortable and thought even to pay and go to another hotel. The other rooms we don’t know how they lol like. Very bad price quality relation.

Cons: Tiny rooms with no Fridge. The decor was extremely poor, with damage marks on walls and fittings.

Pros: Great location near Paddington Station and Hyde park. Beds were good size and staff was pretty accommodating
Cons: For the money the rooms were small. Seemed like they squeezed two large beds into a room that was meant for one. Lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. It’s an old building so the walls are very thin. The people above us decided to have a party the night before we had an early flight. After complaining multiple times to the front desk they did their best to keep the people above us from being too noisy. With two young kids it wasn’t conducive to getting them to bed. We paid almost £1000 for 4 nights. I expected a little more from the amenities (free breakfast maybe?). Overall the hotel did what we needed it to do but for the money I think it could have been better

Pros: I really liked the night staff member - Lionel. I came in the middle of the night completely exhausted and his smile, his very warm approach has made me feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, I was a bit scared to stay in a hostel, especially because female dorm was not available at the time of the booking and the room is smaller than it is comfortable. He was polite, fun to talk to and helpful. I had genuine feeling he is a nice person to hang around. I was glad the locker inside of the room was big enough to store a small luggage and that in the bunk bed space you could find a plug, where to charge a phone. The long mirror in the room was also something I liked.

Cons: The rooms are uncomfortably small with too many bunk beds. When I wanted to open my tiny luggage, someone would open the door and hit me or someone would come out of bathroom and had to go through me. It was terrible to go toilet inside of the room as you could hear everything from the bathroom cubicle. Also I felt the bed curtains are not being changed after the guests left. There was no space to hang a towel, which is pretty annoying. The room ventilation was awful, there is a fan, which is noisy and terribly small window that opens at the bottom, not at the top - which I do not think is terribly safe or helping to ventilate.

Pros: After my poor experience with my room request change, I met Stefano another front desk staff who was pleasant, offered me water for my room, apologised for the inconvenience etc. It was refreshing.
Cons: I got a room on the lower floors, the room smelled stale, was a long walk away from the elevator and when I went to request a change I got attitude from the front desk staff Ana-Maria. I literally wanted to cancel and leave unfortunately as I had booked through booking.com I was told I needed to take that up with them. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told she would only change my room if I either went back up and got my luggage or waited 30-40 mins for a concierge to help me. I was so upset. I went back up, gor my luggage and came back down. PS why dont they keep extra bottles of water in the room for your use?

Pros: Overall, as a 20-something, using this as a cheap place to sleep for the night while seeing London this worked for me and allowed me to spend my travel money on the things I wanted to do. The hostel does provide breakfast, and a 10% off discount for anything you order at the bar (burger and a beer is normally 15 pounds, so you get that for 13.50). The staff was friendly, and the bedding was clean in the hostel. The showers had warm water and seemed to be cleaned on a somewhat regular basis. The bar area is open to you 24 hours a day, though the kitchen closes at 10 and the bar closes to the public at midnight.
Beyond that, you can't beat the location in terms of it being a launching point for getting around the city. You are on several bus lines and three different tube lines. You are also only a mile's walk from Hyde park on a main road that is well lit, even at night.

My room is a Female Room for 3 pax but during the last night.....middle of the night, me & another lady from Brazil were awaken when the hostel staff came in to our room & asked whether we mind having a guy to stay in our room....since it was after midnight & both of us are checking out the next morning...we have agreed but if we were to check out later....we will not allow as this room is stated for FEMALE ONLY.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The management's will and ability to cater to my comfort and standards was excellent.
Cons: The attitude of another guest but this was beyond the hotels control so I don't hold it against the hotel.

Pros: The location and the comfy of the bed
Cons:
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is super nice, the pub under the dorm is great, dorm are clean, water hot and good pressure, staff is super active and nice, beds are confortable.
Cons: Codes for the doors are not the easiest way to enter in the dorm but make us feel safe at the same time.
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: First off, if you are a light sleeper, don't choose this hostel. It is on a highly-used road and the windows will be open in the room. If you wake up at every horn or siren, you will not have a good time sleeping here. In addition to that, the larger rooms have 24 people, so you can expect them to be coming and going at all hours, some quietly, some not (which also means your experience is not 100% on the hostel staff). Bar noise was non-existent, so don't worry about that.
The breakfast was a bit of a zoo, and a bit of a disappointment. They had loaves of bread with a toaster (butter and jam), some cereal and milk. There was also tea and coffee. It was pretty well picked over by 8:15, and the staff was too busy cleaning the bar to replace anything. To that end, the staff in the hostel always seemed to be stretched too thin. People are working the hostel front desk and the bar at the same time. They are not mean about it, but if you catch it wrong, you can end up waiting a bit to be helped. There were also a few people who were sleeping in the hallway at times, though I was not sure if they were just too drunk to remember their passcodes or had snuck in. Also, I never saw any semblance of a manager for either the bar or the hostel (not that I ever needed one).
The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathrooms left something to be desired, the rooms especially. Though I didn't spend much time in them, there was usually some crumbs / scraps of wrappers on the floor, which did not feel clean even when those larger pieces of rubbish were not there. This comes back to you experience being tied to the people you are in the room with however. In particular, there was one person who's luggage smelled like a college student's laundry bin that had been left to sit during the winter break, in-short, really bad.
My final warning would be that there are not a lot of power outlets in the rooms, and there are only two bathrooms to accommodate 50+ people, as opposed to 4 showers.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean, and everybody was very respectful. The location is good- right next to the underground. We didn't really hear any noise from the pub downstairs, which had a lovely atmosphere!
Cons: The rooms were very warm, but luckily it wasn't too bad due to a fan. There was also quite a lot of street noise, but if you live in a city then you'll be used to that level of noise.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good burger in restaurant downstairs, friendly staff, nice and small room
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the entire environment was super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. In the pub downstairs there's always someone up for chat so that even as a solo traveller you don't feel lonely at all. Bed was very comfortable as well.
Cons: It would be great if they would offer vegan options for brunch/lunch/dinner. Everything looked absolutely delicious and I would have loved to try it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ive stayed in a few publove hostels and find then really good the green man being one of the best so far. Always clean for a hostel. Really good area the food was on par with the other publove hostels. I stayed here a few months back and it seemed like the staff at the time were struggling a bit this time around new staff and everythink seems to be running like clock work really good vibe the night porters are wicked bar staff really cool, showers always hot worth a stay
Cons: N/a

Pros: Great location with well renovated bathroom which is in the room and not shared.
Cons: The entire hotel looks like it's being renovated, but nowhere to see any workers. So I suppose it looks like this for a longer time. The rooms are very small, not cozy. Breakfast quite simple, but they were included in stay so it's ok. Toast, butter, not very tasty and cheap ham, salami, cheese. Simply.

Pros: The hotel was central for so many things, good connections, very good value for money and the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the bathroom excellent.
Cons: The room could have been bigger, although I didn't spend much time there. The TV didn't have many channels, even obvious ones like ITV1 and Channel 4 weren't available, which was odd. Although again I didn't spend much time actually in the room.

I would stay again when in London but I would make further research on other hotels in the area to compare price and facilities.

Pros: Location. Nothing else at all
Cons: Everything. We asked if we could check in early - 12.00 - and were told yes if we paid 25.00 each. Disgusting as the room was obviously ready. When we asked to leave our luggage we were told it was 5.00 each. Never had to pay for this in any hotel we have stayed in. When we went back at 2.00 we were ignored by reception while they filed papers, answered the phone and then attempted to check someone else in. When I asked if we could check in rather exasperated they looked at us as if we were from another planet and asked what we wanted. I said what do you think were standing here for. Room had a misshapen bathroom door, badly hung ripped curtains, a massive stain on carpet and a light above the mirror that would not switch off so we had it on all night and had to put a towel over it. Cistern was broken and moved when you leant against it and sink taps were loose almost hanging off. Darent have a shower. Definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and when we complained they wasnt even bothered

6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were pleasant. Hotel was as expected after reading reviews. Location was a good base for exploring London.
Cons: The hotel is dated and although very traditional in style it could do with updating. The room was spacious but had a mix match of furniture. Bathroom was a good size but had hot tap top missing.

Pros: Location fantastic: near to Lancaster Gate tube, Hyde Park, Albert Hall. Breakfast was OK. Staff very friendly. Good value for the location.
Cons: The hotel is looking a little tired. Could do with a bit of an update.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was okay, no fruit not a lot of choice. Our room was freezing, there were double doors in our room, and the draft from this was awful. pulled back the bed sheet to check the mattress protector, it was stained in places not great. The whole room was in need of renovating shabby, dark, cold. The bathroom was not much better, should be replaced. No restful sleep here. Some refund would be good. would not recommend .
Cons: As above.
8.3 Excellent
