This is simple just a very nice Place to stay. The interior is beautiful, the food is nice and the people are gordious.
The area was not very interesting.
I had stayed here on a previous visit quite a few years ago & did not hesitate to rebook this time also. Avnish & Ushi have a beautiful home & they are a very welcoming, intelligent and interesting couple Avnish took us on one of his famous tours especially tailored to our wishes. We visited a huge flower market ‘ over the river’ in Delhi & it was mind blowing. A photographers dream. He also took us to brunch at one of his favourite restaurants & you could never know of this on your own. We both had a reiki treatment by Ushi and this was also an interesting experience. Only wished I could have stayed longer to learn more. Fabulous food, included breakfasts & a truly lovely place to stay. Sharing with other guests at meal times is an extra bonus of home stays
Great to get a real Indian home feel rather than the vanilla hotel experience. Nice humanistic approach and touches in the rooms. Felt safe and well supported by our hosts and staff with advice and recommendations. Location was fine, particularly if you are confident catching the metro (only 3 - 4 stops to the centre of Delhi)
Nothing really. Lots of levels and narrow steps, if that's a problem for you, however typical for multi story homes in similar locations.
Very nice room (upgraded) in a multi-story Indian home. Very clean: good bedding, modern bathroom, decent breakfast - either Indian or continental. Sweet balcony areas to sit out on plus small communal dining, TV room. In a safe residential area - 10 minutes by rickshaw to Connaught Place or Karol Bagh shopping areas. Very charming host who went out of his way to make us feel at home and who even took us out for an early morning cultural visit and breakfast!
Not really suitable for people who can't climb stairs. There is help on hand to get the baggage up so that is not an issue, but there are one or two flights of kind of steep stairs depending on which floor your room is on (1st or 2nd and then some more to get to the top balcony area).
