The location of the hotel is perfect and the facilities are new and modern.
The staff are not professional. I asked them to charge me in INR but I received the message from the bank that it was charged still in USD. I asked the staff to cancel and make a new payment. But they insisted that it was in INR....can't understand! Also the hotel has buggy service but I never see the driver!! Our room has been newly decorated the smell is strong. Other parts of the hotel are still under instruction and many workers are working around... The towels in the hotel are new clean sometimes there is a black spot on it.

This property is part of the city palace complex, apart from having truly amazing views of the lake, there are many tourist attractions within the Palace grounds. You also have access to the facilities of the Niwas Palace Hotel, and may even get to see members of the royal family moving about as their private Palace is also within the grounds. This was truly the highlight of my travels throughout India. I will certainly come back here again.

Room was very nice, and staff was very helpful.
We had a (strong) disagreement on the first night about the category of the room given to us. We asked for a suite, and we were given just a big hotel room. Staff promised to change the room next day, and they did, to a proper suite with a seating area, bedroom, dressing place and bathroom. Staff was nice, except for that first disappointing night, that's why I'm not giving 100% in the review.
