Location along the river and a short walk from train station is excellent. Staff at reception were correct and reasonably friendly. The room furnishings and bathroom appliances were old, but functional and would have had a certain charm if the context had been better.
My room on 5th floor looked out on a large ventilation outlet from the kitchen, so that opening the window for fresh air meant filling the room with strong food odors. A loud, constant humming noise continued until late at night, perhaps from a ventilator motor. Breakfast was basic but acceptable, unfortunately accompanied by loud conversation among the members of the serving staff.
