Amazonia Lisboa Hotel

Extremely noisy. At 9:00am cleaners came into the room while we were sleeping without knocking. Very expensive for the quality.

Good localtion and simple, efficient hotel. Staff is very professional and everything works well

The hotel needs freshening up - outside and inside.

Location was ok. When hairdryer didnt work they gave us a better room.

The bedroom 310 is obsolete needing a total refreshment. Furniture, curtains, bedsheets are too old. As well as the toilet. The hotel is very well located, no need of being so decadent.

Too expensive for the services you get. the hotel needs an upgrade... feels like an abandoned hospital... long halls, outdated paint, outdated furniture and equipment (tv).

Needs a complete refurbishment...very badly maintained

The breakfast wasn’t very nice and you could tell it was cheap produce! The rooms are very outdated. It was hot weather and when we turned on the air conditioning the room was instantly covered in dust that came from the machine!

for 95 euros a night the rooms were old, tired and didn't feel clean. the hotel badly needs modernising for that price

the pool when its not crowdy

the the fictional idea about having a wifi all over the hotel is plain fiction the staff in the lowest floor kept insisting that the connection working fine on thier deviecs.while we were located on the second floor and couldnt connect and had planty of proplemos when finally connected it kept disconnecting agagin and again. the bath room is old generaly speaking the while strcture of the hotel and its rooms facilietes are old and noisy and most likely consumes lots of energy and that is why the price for such an unpleasent experiance is so costly at the same time ... the bathtub has the color peelling off and in some rust included we asked to move to another room where the internest was even worse and the bathtub the same minus the rust.

There were reformations, it was dirty, noisy. The bed super uncomfortable, not cradle for the baby either baby eat seat, the room was the last floor and it was super extremely hot.

The breakfast spread was the same everyday. Cleanliness was poor. The pool is so small and not impressive.

The staff was friendly

Everything! There was mold everywhere. The rooms are dusty. And it was nothing like the pictures on line. If i knew the hotel would be like this i would have never stayed there. I picked this hotel because it looked cleaned and well kept. my daughter is sick and has allergies and this was not a good stay for her. The pool was nasty and the floor boards around the pool were all loose.

Awful experience. Rooms looked like a terror movie. Beds are super hard, bathroom was not clean. The hotel hasn't been renovated since 70's and the price is like a 5 stars. No wifi signal in the rooms (payed or not)

Breakfast was fine. Small breakfast buffet. There was a choice of cheese and cold cuts, as well as fresh fruit.

We only spent two nights in this hotel. We got a room where it smelled terrible. On request at the reception we got another room. The rooms, however, are very old. The mattresses are extremely laid out. The bathroom and the room itself weren't very hygienic. Toilet flush didn't work either. Someone came by and "fixed" the flush. But after each flush you had to wait 30 minutes to use the toilet. All in all, this hotel isn't worth three stars. You can also go to a hostel for the quality-price relation. The location of the hotel is not recommended it is about 30 minutes walk to the city center.

Once I arrived the the hotel, I checked in and was immediately told i had to pay an additional €10 in city tax. I didnt expect that but oh well, its not a big deal. Then I got to my room and it felt like living in a 1991 hotel. The TV, the Ac, the curtains, rug, baththub infact everything was soo dated I just didnt want to spend 30mims there. I went back up to the reception and showed them the photos advertised and they said, oh, those are out new room but they will cost me more. I had no choice but to pay the £70 requested to get the so called modern/new room which in my opinion hould be standard. I asked if they could give me a complimentary upgrade and was told "NO" you have to pay. Yes, it looked fresher, cleaner, had better toiletries and good view. Note: Room on floors 1-3 are all old rooms. Rooms on floor 6- 10 are all new rooms. My advise. Either book the new room or avoid the hotel completely. It wouldnt be worth a nights stay even on budget. I would rather stay in a modern hostel than one of those old rooms and trust me, lisbon has loads of modern looking hostels.

ROOMS BAD, BREAKFAST BAD ,BED SHEET BED QUILT VERY OLD AND YELLOW. You wake up in the morning with a bad smell... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE HOTEL UNLESS RENEWED... NO SOAP IN ROOMS. They said you would use shower gel instead of soap.

The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Hot water and bathtub was a treat in a European motel.

The beds are very hard. The 2 pillows were like rocks. I couldn't even fluff them.

Clean and staff were generally helpful. It is not in the city center but there are plenty of restaurants around and it's well connected through public transport. Breakfast was basic but good.

Hotel is old, the rooms are being renovated, but we didn't get one of the renovated ones. I think it's a bit overpriced for the facilities.

Rooms old not clean breakfast repeats same everyday.

The location was quit alright. Liked the little tiny streets and tried a few nice coffee shops around. The centre is not too far, it is a little nice 15-20 min walk.

The hotel is very dated, it needs a huge renovation. The facilities are old and smelly. Our room was just bad. The room and the bed sheets had this old smell, the walls and the ceiling had some black marks all around the room, the bed was hard, several tiles broken, carpet smelled, the bathroom dated, the pipes were leaking, the sink was blocked, marks on the wall and so on. The pool area was closed.

Dear Sirs, We booked a room at Amazonia hotels but when we saw the room is not correct for the amount paid (127eur). The tv is not working The fridge has a big block of ice Afront of the room you can see beds So we would like to have a refund of the amount paid in order to be able to book another place as we are here for the websummit Please consider our email and make the reimbursement. Just the fact it was close to metro station

The hotel literally stank. Awfullest stay ever. Reception desk useless, staff at breakfast grumpy n so unwelcoming. Everything pathetic!

The staff at the check in did it's best to compensate for inconvenience

The information given before on booking.com was incorrect. We choose the hotel for it's pool. It was not written that the pool was closed at this time of year. We booked a family-room. Our family is with 5 persons. It was said that the breakfast was included. We had to pick 2 rooms. That's the option that we got, so choose two rooms. In the hotel they finally said that only one room had breakfast included and the other one not, because it was a different type of room. In the end we got compensated and they gave us all breakfast included. The breakfast itself although was very very poor. The hotel itself was very outdated and not well maintained. There was fungus on the ceiling in the bathroom. The ventilation of the rooms was bad, there was a stale air.

The location is okey

The worst experience ever. The place is falling apart and is filthy.
