Location is excellent. Breakfast is simple and good but monotonous. Staff is friendly but some are not speaking English.

Bed sheets are not cleaned enough. Otherwise room is clean. Though it was said that kitchen is available it is not available. only we could get hot water.

Great location. Good breakfast

The bathroom door handle fell apart. There was no iron, hair dryer. Only one chair and no lamps, only the overhead light.

I liked the room and the stAff was very friendly

If you're after a central location, this place is great. City centre and public transport all within walking distance. Price we paid for the stay was good, but this is what I expected as my friend and I travelled during the off peak season in the middle of January. Everything else was rather disappointing.

We got to the hotel and were not greeted for about 5 minutes. Then a poor excuse was made by the hotel manager about his lack of English. We booked the hotel because the website stated they had English speaking staff. They staff speak very little English. On arrival we were not given a map of the area (to help us navigate our way back to the hotel), nor asked if we need any guides or information for our stay. Our room was directly in front of the lift (1 metre away). The door needed to be locked with the key from the inside of the room to keep it closed otherwise it could be opened from the outside. Inside, we were met with 2 very basic twin beds. The beds were made up with a thin duvet and cover (very old and about 7 tog) and a woollen type of blanket, also very old. There was an extra blanket for each bed. The pillow was small but would not be adequate for a taller/ larger person. The bedlinen was very old school and dated, almost like grandma's house but not in a nice vintage or welcoming way. The bathroom was ok; clean toilet and shower, although not a power shower, it was adequate enough for our needs. But, there was no lock to the bathroom door and the door gapped. We didn't risk washing our long hair as the room was freezing and there was no hairdryer to dry our hair with. They was no security box in the room as advertised (another reason why we had booked them). The wardrobe didn't have any doors and the lamp didn't work. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room either nor a fridge. Breakfast was basic with bread roll, cheese slices, meat slices, butter, jam and cereal. No other choices (fruit, yoghurt, pastries, boiled egg, etc). No hot food for breakfast other than tea/coffee. Fortunately, we didn't need to spend much time in our room as the weather was dry and mild. But the lack of facilities was bothersome. If we wanted basic accommodation, we would have booked a hostel instead. Not recommended!

The hotel was centrally located to major tourist attractions, and shopping. The staff was friendly, helpful and fun to talk with. The transportation system made it easy to get around. Lisbon is a lovely city (my second time visiting); I would visit again.

Coming in at night, the hotel was not what I expected, however in the light of day, it was not as bad as it appeared at night.

Amazing central location, lift to room, view of the castle, big shutter and budget price with an basic breakfast included. Good wifi.

The bed was so hard and very small but our main issue was that it got very cold in the room . Only a blanket in january with no heating was just not enough. There was a aircon in the room but no remote control for it (assuming it might do heating as well) and as the entry staff spoke limited english i did not know how to ask .

The location is great, very convenient. Staff are heat too, room and bathroom clean

The room was smelly with dirty walls and there was mold in the bathroom. The breakfast room was smelly as well, very disappointed.

The location is close to Rossio square. Bus stations, mettos, train station and areobus are approachable in minutes. Also, you can easily acess all the attractions by walking.

The pillows and towels are not verry clean...You need to bring your own shampoo etc. And the blanket is moist, although probably due to the weather in Lisbon. However, if the layer is bit thicker, it will be better. Btw, the cleaner does not clean the floor. Also, the breakfast is super simple. I book breskfast for a whole week and only eat there twice. Food in lisbon is delicious and not expensive compared with other countries in Europe, so probably it is better to have breakfast outside.

There was no services, room was VERY basic, oldfashioned, interioited with absolute minimum budget. Plastic floors and a breakfast with only buns topped the experience in a bad way.

The hotel is right in the centre of the city, really good location. Staff is helpful and friendly.

The hotel rooms are in bad condition, dirty and smelly. Staff only speaks a few words of English.

Perfect location,150 m away from metro station Rossio and the bus stops #15 which goes to Belem, breakfast was basic but for us was ok, helpful staff, clean sheets and towels,cleaned every day.Elevator in the building.

The strong smell of air freshener everywhere, even in the room where people sleep. There was no shampoo in the room, and to use the hairdryer, it was necessary to go down to the reception and return it after every use. Construction materials were on every floor and trash bins and cleaning materials were sometimes left in the hallways.

The location is a plus!!! But the mattress was bad! bedding and room smells like mold, elevator doors don't open properly... its confusing. Not a terrible hotel if you are not allergic to mold. Bathroom was nice and clean. Very good hot shower! It is a very old property as u can imagine... not much can be done about that but basic maintenance would be appreciated. The staff members were really nice.

Maintenance is poor, bedding stinks. Mold everywhere, ac did not work.

The location is superb, in the very center of town. It's a bit noisy, though, of course, as there is a lot of traffic. They were nice to store our bags for two days before we even checked in.

The room was decrepit, Uncomfortable beds. The bathroom has no ventilation and, unsurprisingly, smells strongly of mold.

The Hotel has a really weird smell with high level of humidity. Very old buidling with a scary elevator. furniture is old and you can never find tissues or shampoo.

It is a hole. The room was very small, dirty and noisy. Breakfast below average.
