The location. Large room, comfortable bed.
Having to lock the door from the inside using the key.
Private parking of the hotel near by (2 minutes walk). They provide free bike (not electric) and the city has pretty good infrastructure to use bike. Did not do breakfast but staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations, and the room was just right with a big very comfortable bed. We were very pleased with our internet selection for an area we knew nothing about. I would highly recommend for the foreign traveler.
Noting not to like.
We were permitted to leave bags while we went out to view the city and the hotel staff texted us when the room was ready. The room was large and clean and very comfortable. The location was wonderful -- not only an easy walking distance from the city, but next to a small botanical garden, which was a pleasant place to stroll as a change of pace. We were so happy to have stayed here!
The location was excellent. It was just a few bus stops from the train station. The rooms were large and very comfortable.

Excellent hotel with really nice staff. Room was large, AC worked really well, bed was very comfy and was also really quiet as the windows are well insulated.

The welcome we received from the staff on arrival was very friendly. There was a lovely jug of lemon water on reception to help ourselves to on arrival, as we were very hot. The room was fabulous. There was nothing I didn't like. The hotel was superb and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We sat outside in the garden when we were waiting for our airport transfer, it was very nice and peaceful, even though it is on a main road. Very convenient hotel just on edge of old town and easy to get to on public transport. Good size room was comfortable and very quiet considering the hotel was full. Good breakfast is served on the top floor and staff were very helpful throughout, with plenty of literature and maps available to make looking around Basel easy. Overall a good choice to stay in this interesting city.
