Pros: Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Great amenities.
Cons: N/a
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: Some front desk staff where nice eventhough the Japanese manager ruined that experience as well
Cons: The location was too far. Hotel is too stingy to feel hospitable. I have never felt this bad staying anywhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect during our stay! We had the pleasure to be upgraded to an amazing spacious bungalow with access to the semi private pool. The staff was fantastic. They were all very helpful and kind, always trying to make our stay more pleasant. Last but not least, the breakfast with a view was full of delicious choices! The atmosphere of the entire resort was peaceful and restful. The environment is relaxing and beautiful. We will definitely come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and peaceful. A bit dark rooms but very big and extremely comfortable. We loved the swimming pool .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were given an absolutely gorgeous room! A romantic bed, a sunken bath with a huge dressing room and plenty of storage space. Outside, we had 2 chairs and a table to enjoy our afternoon tea.The gardens are very attractive with young, polite staff always working diligently. The breakfast each day was superb! We are vegetarian and had lots of tasty choices. The kitchen staff gave an excellent service. The cooks make super poached eggs! Thank you to all! The tea room is also beautiful with comfortable seating and amazing food. The young women who served there were gracious and friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool. Everything was a pleasure to us. At reception we were always given every attention and good advice. We loved our stay and send huge thanks to all at Pilgrimage Village!...Oh, and we really loved the little handwritten story scroll that was delivered each evening...the gentle touch of a beautiful culture and village! x
Cons: It was all lovely!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice stay at Pilgrimage Village Hotel and enjoyed the beautiful, large pool and the delicius food at breakfast and dinner.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful! Clean, comfortable... great pool. Amazing breakfast, very diversified and plenty of food available. The service is quite good, staff is always available to answer your queries. Restaurant serves delicious food (but of course it is more overpriced than a normal restaurant, something you would expect). We used the transfer service in Hue, and good a free half-day tour of the city which was very useful to get to some historical places that are far away from the center. We also used their transfer services to go to Hoi An, we definitely recommend, super competent driver that took us to there, even though he did not speak english, he did everything to show us all the beautiful places on the way to Hoi An.
Cons: The hotel is a bit distant from the center, but is also good to immerse yourself in a relaxing environment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely rambling property with lush vegetation. It is great to just stroll through. The breakfast is awesome. We did not make much use of the facilities as we were there to kit up for the start of a bike ride several days south to Tam Ky, so cannot comment there, but we enjoyed the ambiance.
Cons: The BBQ buffet dinner was promoted but I have to say the meat options on skewers were somewhat overcooked. Meat in Vietnam tends to be a bit on the tough side (which I think is a good thing as it may indicate less hormones etc, and more free range. But it needs to be hung properly and marinated longer to be tender on the skewer. The rest of the buffet was fab.
6.7 Good
Pros: The pool is amazing. So nice and quiet. Very beautiful with trees surrounded en the sound of birds and crickets. Did a 3h spa. The massage was amazing! The lady worked miracles. I think I fell asleep. Felt good. She was very professional. Breakfast is good. Variety to choose from. Bed is huge and comfortable. We had een upgrade to the bungalow for only $10 a night. GM Christy is an amazing and attentive woman. She texts you right away and asked if we needed anything. She made sure we got to the city (shuttle bus already left) with no charge. She really knows what service and hospitality is. Very experienced and has eye for details. The Pilgrimage should be very grateful to have here as a staff member. Such people are very rare.
Cons: Even though the accomodation looks very beautiful. Tucked away in a lush green like forest. With trees and sound of animals. There are a few little things that made our stay less pleasant. First of all the staff. They really and I mean really need training. Thank God for Christy, because the rest doesn’t know how to act in a 5 star resort. For example: My husband got a complimentary 30 min spa. Since we wanted an extended treatement of 3h (which was very expensieve, even for European standards, but what the heck, it’s our holliday) we asked if they could arrange a different price instead of the 30 min spa. Since we would pay about 6.000.000 VD, we thought it would be a great idea if they could deduct one of the treatments. Just a small gesture. My husband didn’t want an extensions of 30 min (since it already took 3 hours long) and we were going to leave the next morning. So the lady at the spa had to check with her manager. She went on her computer and said nothing for a few minutes. Just typing in silence. After 5 min (which is long if you don’t know what’s going on) we asked her what she was doing. She told us she was chatting with the reception on her computer. Great! Why didn’t you tell us? Guide us trough your proces or ask us to go have a cup of tea. But do not let us sit in front of you in silence without saying anything. I mean this kind of little things were very anoying. When we asked her what she was doing she even looked crossed as if we we wrong for not reading her mind. Conclusion: no discount on her behalf. Christy took take of us and arranged a half price for transfer to the airport (bless her). Other example: when we arrived there were no bottles of water in the room. The bellboy told us they would bring water. We waited and waited. After 5 hours we took a small bottle (same as the complimentary one) from the mini bar. As we checked out (after paying extra €300 for food, drinks and spa) the lady at the reception told us we had to pay for the water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful environment, lovely stuff, amazing food for breakfast and dinner as well. It is also very clean so you can feel super comfortable. We loved the pools and I attended the morning yoga class too. We even decided for an upgrade in a honeymoon bungallow which was deffinetely the best decision! Do not miss staying here for some days!
Cons: Obviously it is a pricy hotel, but you get what you pay for.

Pros: The pool was nice. The grounds were in good shape. The proximity to the beach was good. The bathrooms were large.
Cons: The A/C units in all of the rooms leak water out of the ceiling vents onto the floor. They also clearly have a mold problem in the A/C system (our first room smelled very badly--we changed rooms and the second had the same problem.) The A/C system serves all rooms. Customer service was not good. When we asked them to put us in a room that didn't smell of mold, we were directed to talk with an outside turnaround consultant on the premises who the hotel has hired to make the hotel a profitable concern. He would not tell me his name. But he did tell me that we were mistaken, that the rooms did not smell and there was no mold problem. Full stop. No attempt to remedy an unhealthy, and frankly disgusting room experience. We promptly left (without receiving a requested refund for our unused nights) and went to another hotel. It was worth the added expense. This place is not a place anyone should be forced to stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach was almost deserted each day and the children enjoyed playing in the waves. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. The villa we were in was spotlessly clean - staff were in several times a day to change towels and clean the floor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the beach villa and we thought that it was a beautiful hotel room. The property was beautiful and we were very happy to be very close to the beach.
Cons: The food was some of the worst food we had an all of Vietnam. For the amount of money that they are charging, which was several times the price as you would pay on the local economy, the food was not up to the same quality as we had in any other part of the country. And while we loved the property, the food would make us not want to stay at this location again. I believe the hotel understands that it is very far away from everything else in the city so you have no choice but to eat there or at least that it’s the most convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great spacious room. Big bathroomwith shower and bath. Sea view. Wide variety of products on breakfast. Big swimming pool. Free city schuttle bus.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location being away from the busy town of Hue but having free shuttle bus. Great to have a bicycle to borrow to cycle along the coast and beaches. Swimming pool and gardens were kept really nice and room was spotless and comfortable. Bar and restaurant were good. Would stay again. Staff were very friendly and good humoured.
Cons: Bicycle was small for someone of 6 foot tall. Would be better if saddle seat post could be raised higher?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are absolutely amazing, huge beds and lovely views. The pool and the area around it is great, loads of lovely palm trees and nice plants. The pool is big and the beach is very secluded with sun lounges - perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was nice and had loads of different options, also the food we had during the day was very tasty too and very reasonably priced. The hotel looks beautiful and the staff are amazing! There is also a free shuttle that goes into the centre which is handy!
Cons: Would be nice if the bar was opened for longer in the evenings
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great stay at the Ana Mandara. The property is a good value for the price. Rooms are a large, stylish and comfy. Daily housekeeping was great - never missed anything, was unobtrusive and rooms were very clean. The hotel restaurant was good, especially breakfast. Staff was absolutely lovely and often went out of their way to be helpful. You absolutely could not have a better group of employees and managers. The location on the beach was perfect with plenty loungers available there as well was the pool area. Every so often they have a seafood BBQ for dinner with unlimited beverages that was a great value. They have a spa and the treatments were reasonably priced and very relaxing. Hotel operates a shuttle between Hue City and the hotel [approx.. 30 minutes].
Cons: Dinner and lunch in the restaurant could have been a better experience. Food timing was awkward and sometimes the wait for entrees was long. Drinks in the bar are bit on the weak side. The bed, while I found comfy, could be a bit too soft for some people. The whole property could use a bit of upgrade maintenance - nothing major just some coats of paint, fixing broken tiles, etc.. Shuttle schedule could be more convenient as it is a pretty big haul away from the city itself. I would say the biggest problem is the pricing - The hotel is an excellent value for this type of property and this level of service. Because it is priced on the lower end, it seems to attract a level of holiday maker that kind of takes the shine off an otherwise refined and lovely experience.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The peaceful scenery attract me a lot
Cons: A little bit boring in the evening because there aren’t any exciting activities
5.0 Okay
Pros: Employees were nice. A bit far from town. On a beautiful beach but if you walked past the property line in either direction the beach was very dirty with human fecal mater on the beach. What a shame could be a beautiful place.
Cons: Yogurt was not kept cold right when you stirred it up it was curdling. Also the food choice was very limited.

Pros: Very nice room - upgraded to a suit
Cons: The Lady who knocked on the door late afternoon asking if we needed clean towels appeared unnecessary. At breakfast Tea and coffee was served to us, would have preferred Self service.

Cons: Way too many mosquitoes in the women’s changing/shower room by the pool.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: As soon as I walked in every staff member made me feel more than welcome!! Without being pushy. I felt as a VIP during my stay. The hotel looks very good and clean. My room was also big, modern, and had lovely fresh flowers in it. Breakfast was amazing. I had lots of choices (local and international food) and I saw the cooks preparing everything fresh. As I liked their food so much I also had a dinner at the hotel, and it was also perfect. They also helped me with a private car to see all the highlights as I only had 1.5 day in Huè. In the evening there was a lovely live band playing grand piano, trumpet and violin. Their music sounded wonderful. Indochine Palace thank you for this lovely and unforgettable experience. I will definitely recommend you to my friend and come back if I ever visit Huè again.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location a short walk from restaurants, shopping and many of the major sights in Hue. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The service at the hotel was excellent as was the daily breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks very fancy, with gold and chandeliers, however, the staff does not have the bad attitude of places as such. They were very friendly and welcoming. It was a shame the hotel was so empty (due to covid scare in Asia) but we had a great time, eat well (Breakfast is AMAZING) and really want to congratulate all staff.

We would recommend everyone stay here! We had an amazing view overlooking the river and the mountains beyond, the balcony was lovely. I think this hotel is really under appreciated and thinks everyone should stay here!

Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent, the staff was very professional and treated us very nicely. The view from our room of the river was beautiful. Valued for the price paid was outstanding.
Cons: Not much that we didn’t like it is an older hotel that’s starting to show its age but still you can’t beat the value for the price.

Cons: Erratic access to wifi.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location Staff was courteous and professional
Cons: Rooms / facilities were worn out and musty. Breakfast was “ok”...but facilities were worn; in a 4 star hotel you do not clean the tables with a well worn plastic cart...

Cons: restrant staff were disastrous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The management agreed not to demand fees for cancellations related to Covid-19: very decent of them!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel had everything that I needed. The room had a classic, oriental flair with a balcony and a sitting area. The breakfast was good with a good variety of food (continental and Vietnamese). I think I enjoyed the fruit bar and the steamed buns most!. It has a spa with a small pool that is great for cooling down in after a hot day touring the city on foot. The staff were always attentive and very helpful when ever needed. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes I would!
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was ok, front desk and room staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast room has little character and feels more like a student catering hall, getting more coffee was usually an effort, there was plenty of food, but there breakfast staff are poorly managed. Pool area is very small 4 sun beds and no shade and is used by staff to sneak a smoke and make phone calls. Bed creaked, they did try to fix it but only partially succeeded, they did offer us an alternative room. One of the shower selection buttons did not work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From beginning to end, and everything in between, I was totally delighted with this hotel.
Cons: Like every hotel, the prices of the drinks at the bar are substacially higher than if you went to an outside bar or restaurant, but the were not abusive by any means, just higher than drinks if you exited and went to a town bar or restaurant.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast buffet, Location in "old city" good for sightseeing. Hotel tours and driver were very good.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Incredible staff. Amazing breakfast. Excellent overall.
Cons: ...Umm the passion fruit juice at check in was a tad sweet

Pros: Decor and room size was impressive. Luxurious bathroom. Good breakfast. Good location close to night life areas. Quiet street.
Cons: Many stairs at entrance to hotel, that would prohibit a lot of guests from staying here. Bed was overly firm and pillows very soft. 2 mini bottles of water offered only. Reception staff were not welcoming. Guest and staff hygiene in buffet breakfast area could have been improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was very clean and the rooms very spacious and lots of room and good amenities. Lots of breakfast choices. Friendly staff
Cons: The rooftop bar needed better service and if anything the hotel was a little clinical in its feeling but still lovely
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, close to the walking street with restaurants. Very friendly staff, very clean, very big room, great view from upper floor. The staff accommodated a room-change for us, very much appreciated! Our thanks to the staff at reception and the manager of the breakfast area!!! Hue is a very beautiful city, the Royal palace is a must-see, and we had a lovely walk on the river promenade in the evening. There is a wide choice of restaurants. We had a good massage at the Big Bang massage salon across the street from the hotel, good value for money, very professional.
Cons: The boat trip that we booked through the hotel was quite disappointing. The boat was very slow and very loud, and the sightseeing was badly organized (one of three sites was in renovation...). To get to the fantastic royal mausoleum, better to take a car.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Excellent buffet breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and they gave us an upgrade when we arrived, which was great! The room surpassed expectations. Extremely spacious, well decorated and with good views. Breakfast featured a good range and we enjoyed the Vietnamese options.
Cons: Swimming pool was too cold for me to relax in personally. Also, I thought the steam room was included - I couldn’t see anywhere it mentioned otherwise, but on enquiry I was told it does cost extra. Really minor though - we loved our stay!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was fantastic. The decor was lovely and the room was very well kept.
Cons: The breakfast had limited local options.

Pros: We love this hotel. Our daughters loved the staff and become very good friends with them. The front desk helped us book flights and activities. Spa was incredible. This was the best stay of entire trip from north to south Vietnam
6.5 Good
Pros: Convient location. Staff was very welcoming. Couldn't beat the price for what it was.
Cons: There were flies everywhere in our room including a pile of dead ones on the windowsill. Breakfast (included) was not that great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel offers very good value for the reasonably small price. We were welcomed very friendly with tea and the hotel owner explained a few things about Hué to us. Since we arrived in the morning and our room was not yet empty, we could leave our luggage at the hotel and they hurried up to make our room available as soon as possible. The room was very spacious and had an excellent view on the town and the river. We also had a free cocktail at the rooftop bar. The hotel is located in a quite busy area with lots of nice restaurants and small shops. Also the Hué citadel can be reached by foot in about 15-20 minutes. Overall a very good stay in Hué!
Cons: There was a lot of partying going on in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the room was a little bit noisy, but since we were tired, we did not mind at all and after midnight (I think), the area is very quiet and also hardly any noise from traffic.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. Clean, well run, good staff.
Cons: Unfortunately my kindle e-reader has vanished. I am convinced I placed it under the bed the night before we left and forgot to place it in my case. I have explored every other avenue so am at a loss to where it may be. The hotel staff have assured me it isn’t isn’t in the room so I have to take their word for this.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Almost nothing. I booked for three nights and checked out after one. The only good news is that I wasn't charge a fee for the early checkout.
Cons: The location is isolated with little access to restaurants or shopping. The room(s) were dirty and smelled of mold or mildew. The shower and toilet are in the same enclosure and moisture evaporates slowly making for slippery walking and wet toilet seats. The cover on the sofa was dirty and there was no desk or work area. I can't recommend this hotel!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are ok for the price you pay but nothing special. The staff however were all extremely nice and helpful even in these troubled times. They made the hotel home for us :) the restaurant was really delicious local food and everyone was smiley
Cons: I think it was slightly overpriced for what you get but ok

Pros: Free upgrade to a Suite on the top floor
Azerai La Residence, Hue - Huế - Building

9.4 Excellent (398 reviews)
S$ 328+
Overview Reviews
Set on a two and a half-hectare site with 200 metres of frontage on the fabled Perfume River, Azerai La Residence, Hue has 122 rooms and suites. The colonial mansion at the heart of the hotel was built in 1930 as part of the residence of the French Resident Superieure. The mansions distinctive faade, its long horizontal lines and nautical flourishes are hallmarks of the streamline moderne school of art deco architecture. Its two complementary wings, built in 2005, are contemporary in design yet echo elements of art deco aesthetics and embrace an expansive tropical garden and salt-water swimming pool. At the time of its construction, the colonial mansion was one of a long string of ambitious French edifices that stretched from the 1906-built railway station to the 1900-built Truong Tien Bridge. In between, the leafy boulevard was home to the French-built Quoc Hoc High School and a leisure club known then and now as Le Cercle Sportif. Much of Le Loi Street today looks as it did when it was known as rue Jules Ferry. In the late 1930s, the property played host to trade fairs featuring local products. Later the government requisitioned the property to serve as a government building. In 1963, the colonial mansion returned to its roots as a guest house. The last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai and Thailands King Bhumibol Adulyadej, were both reputed to have stayed in the mansion
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and the service offered exceeded my expectations. The private tour organized was pricy but totally worth it, as Van was the perfect tour guide. She new all the particular details and the history of the country. The sauna, gym and spa were excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Cons: Our room was not very specious and it is probably more a personal thing but the bed was too hard and firm for us. Also the chairs in the restaurant look good but are not comfortable, specially for tall people.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast. Hotel has a very nice atmosphere and character. We also had lunch on the terrace. They make some very good cocktails in the bar.
Cons: There is a chronic lack of storage space for clothes, even in the larger rooms. A set of drawers would have been ideal.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about Azerai. We would go back.
Cons: No Complaints. Staff treated us great and the rooms and food were excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds and building, large rooms & good food
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and hotel style, very chic
Cons: We made reservation for a garden view and the hotel gave us parking area view with lots of noisy from street
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Good breakfast choice. Nice and quiet location. Efficient and friendly staff. Got our room ready even though we arrived around 10 30am. Got upgraded to river view room.
Cons: No chairs on the balconies. No point in having a balcony if you cant sit on it. Expensive bar prices.

Pros: We loved the comfortable room. For us, we finally had a SOFT bed since we arrived in Vietnam. Additionally the staff was very friendly and always showed interest in us. We stayed here for 2 nights but we would’ve happily stayed longer. Hue has much to offer and the hotel is at a walking distance of the vibrant city centre. We definitely recommend it to anyone!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the friendly service from the staff, who welcomed us with fruit and iced tea. Throughout our stay Miss Sophie, Miss Anna and the team did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay in Hue, from booking tours and train tickets, to helping us make restaurant reservations and organising metered taxis to get us around the city. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with complimentary bottled water provided. They also have a great spa in the hotel where you can get an excellent massage. Breakfasts are excellent with a huge variety of both Vietnamese and Western choices. Location is great - just a few moments from Hue's walking streets.
Cons: We loved everything about the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast
Cons: A Bit mouldy Water heater a bit confusing, never know it's on or not, I couldn't take shower the first morning
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean. The bellboy was very attentive.
Cons: Chose this hotel because of the spa but it was closed throughout the duration of my stay. Pillows were old and not comfortable. Advertised “fresh fruit” in the room but did not see this.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value, friendy staff, location
Cons: Pretty more communicate: emailed them twice before booking and got no reply. Tried Facebook too and calling asking for reply without any luck.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is just 2 star hotel so everything is at basic level. However, the service is really great. They allow you to check in early and check out late. I stayed in hotel in NCOV-19 breakout, so breakfast is limited, but I am allowed to eat as much as possible. The staff is friendly and good at speaking English. Bed is comfortable and clean. Same as toilet. The water pressure is good.
Cons: The air conditioner is quite old so it takes time to spread the cool air in the room. The price of renting motorbike is really expensive vs. other places. It's quite inconvenient for business travelers. If they can offer more reasonable price, the stay will be perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: every body, every thing were great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff was very polite friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent made to order eggs fresh fruits etc. The hotel itself was a short walk to the restaurants shops etc convenient if you like to shop. I have no complaints and recommend this hotel
Cons: The lack of a refrigerator in the room. I like having my beverages cold. Not a big deal. Again not a big deal.but I.wanted one bed not two.in the room. We used the larger of.the two.beds and was a bit dated but passable for 2 days.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, about 2 blocks from the main shopping and restaurant areas for tourists but away from traffic and music noise. The staff go out of their way to be helpful, booking tours if desired. Ms.Trang was especially helpful with her fluent English. The hotel driver who took us to HoiAn was also a good guide for stops along the way and shared so much information about his country. He made the trip especially enjoyable! The price is low for large, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was to order and very good. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great stay in the hotel. Everybody was super helpful, gave great advise for the following journey or recommended trips and activities. They also prepared us a lunch package for our biketrip to Hoi an :-) we rarely saw such friendly and lovely people in a hotel. Also the breakfast was really good, the rooms are silent, comfy and clean. The integrated spa has passionate and well trained staff, for a good price. All in all a complete 10/10. It’s a pity that we just had one night.

Pros: The staff were very helpful.

Pros: Very friendly staff. You can order from the breakfast menu. Very good location for restaurants and bars and close to the river.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice, very helpful and friendly hotel staff, perfect breakfast - I can strongly recommend.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, attentive staff, and good value. It was a difficult time during the COVID-19 crisis. The hotel allowed my wife and I to cancel 1 night of our stay without penalty in order to return home per recommendations of the U.S. State Department. We appreciated their concern for our well-being.
Cons: We were spoiled in other hotels in Vietnam, which we stayed in, that had a pool to cool off in at the end of the day. Missed having that feature at the Orchid Hotel. I appreciate the fact that this hotel can't simply build a rooftop pool to satisfy customers such as myself.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for bars, restaurants, river etc yet quiet at night. Spacious room. Helpful staff.
Cons: For the price, hard to complain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel were excellent.
Cons: I liked everything about the property.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was absolutely central for sights and restaurants for a 2 or 3 day visit. The staff could not have been more helpful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Drap, blanket, pilow... are old. The hotel should replace by new ones to make the sleep comfort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The check in process - given tea and a snack right when we arrived was lovely. It allowed us to take a moment between the craziness of getting from the airport to our room. Staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Sent us to the best places to eat, relax and entertain ourselves
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good with some chees, dessert, french bread etc. Room was also good.Bathroom was ok with a good shower. People are very friendly. You find a lot of restaurant, shops, travel agents around the hotel. The Citadel and The For bidden City to visit is at walking distance (2km). The only negatif point is that the price for a private taxi a little bit to high is compare with agency in the street. We drive from Hue to Hoi An with 2 persons but it was a big car (fortuner) and after I order I saw the price in the agency but I gues this was a smaller car. We didn't need a big car but to late. I was satisfied to sleep in this hotel and will take the same if I come back in Hue.
Cons: Already mention above

Pros: Such a good hotel on Hue. The room was large and clean with a good softy bed. The staff was so friendly and informative. They gave us many good tips about places we should go to and the foods we should try in Hue. The breakfast buffet was amazing and lots of choices. Hope to return soon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel with a clean and comfy room. Besides, our room had nice view of the city. The manager and the receptionist were welcoming and very polite. They took the good care of us all the time we stayed here. The breakfast was ok. It was really amazing experience and I’ll recommend Thanh Lich Hue hotel for anyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Near the downtown, easy to find a place like as shopping, post card shop, restaurants… The staff was very excited and friendly. All service was excellent and the room was comfortable with good bathroom. The included breakfast was also very tasty and fresh. Recommending this hotel to everyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so professional, warm and super friendly. We were treated like family members. The room was big enough and nice with good bathroom. The breakfast was great with both western and Vietnamese food. We really enjoyed it.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The breakfast on the rooftop was great w/both Asian & Western options. The staff up there was lovely & they were the only welcoming people/ladies at the entire hotel.
Cons: The staff at the hotel were very cold & not welcoming at all. They did not properly greet me when I arrived, didn't bother to ask where I was coming from, ect...like most other places-they actually didn't have my booking at first even though I did it ahead of time online & showed the reservation #. Hue in general was not kind to me as an Afican American female, & this hotel fit right in w/what I experienced the day & a 1/2 I was there (I left earlier than planned due to feeling extremely uncomfortable). The men in the lobby that sit around & do not do much laughed & talked about me each time I was in the lobby, it was very obvious they found black people amusing. It was extremely immature & uncomfortable. No one was willing to help me w/the train ticket I needed assistance with & when I returned from the tour they originally forgot to book they did not ask how it was, ect...if you are Asian (specifically Vietnamese) stay here because they were treated w/high respect. If you are a Westerner & particully African American do not book here!! the room were clean, as in no dirt, ect...but there were so many ants in my room on the 2nd floor as well as mosquitos. The walls are very thin, I heard the family next to me change their babie's diaper & heard the man snoring the one night.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to the walking street
Cons: Pool was closed Most of the time
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We chose the hotel for its location, a short walk across the river to the citadel.
Cons: Trying to sell us tours before we even got to our room!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely stay at Thanh Lich Hue. Easy walk to the downtown. Many restaurants and coffee shops around. The staff was so polite, professional and good welcome. They gave us a lot of tips. The room was big with well-equipped. The view from our room was great also. I highly recommend this hotel and would come back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had an amazing time at Thanh Lich Hue hotel with my friend. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They always respond to any our requests with a big smile on their face. The room was clean with big comfy bed. I really love the view from our room. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of all the restaurants. Very satisfied.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed at Thanh Lich Hue hotel for 1 night. The hotel is modern with good decoration. The room was also clean with a soft and comfy bed. The breakfast was amazing with good drinks. We really enjoyed it. We highly recommend this hotel if you come to Hue.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall our stay was pleasant, with no significant problems or complaints and was reasonable value for money. We just did not feel the same warm welcome we've experienced in other similarly priced hotels, in Vietnam. We booked an executive room and our room was clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was large with bath and separate shower. The glass bathroom wall was novel, but there were shower curtains that could be pulled for privacy. The hotel had a rooftop pool that was small but ok and nice to swim in after being in the heat. There were only a few sun beds and deck chairs but there were outdoor dining tables where you could also sit at and order a drink. Buffet breakfast had a lot of choices and was generally ok. The location of the Romance hotel was excellent, close to restaurants, bars and shops.
Cons: We thought the staff seemed generally unhappy, not the usual friendly and welcoming service we've experienced in Vietnam. The staff did their jobs well enough and were not rude, they but just did not seem happy. This appeared to be the case in most areas of the hotel from the lobby to breakfast. Also, the airconditioning in our room did not work as well as we would expect. Our room was not always cool enough despite reducing the temperature to 16.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good hotel in a good location. Situated about 20 minutes walk from the Citadel and river and only 5 minutes from lots of local restaurants. Nice terrace to have breakfast and a good selection of dishes. Swimming pool on the roof was lovely with good views of the surrounding area.
Cons: Double bed was actually 2 twins pushed together. Control panel for lights was situated where the headboard should be, hence a little awkward and inconvient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After having a bad experience with a neighbouring hotel, we quickly booked in here. The staff was so helpful. We loved our stay! I will be recommending to my parents visiting next year. I loved the buffet breakfast !!
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with nice 360 view of the city.
7.1 Good
Pros: The pictures were made a long time ago. The hotel is ok but it needs a refurbishing. Maybe to reach the level from the pics the outside of the hotel should be cleaned.... 4 stars - hmmm. The shuttle service to the city is a good way to travel to a center. Nice city center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and the staff were more than helpful in arranging our activities. The breakfasts were great and the rooms were most comfortable.
7.1 Good
Cons: Do not organise a transfer through this hotel, they are not organised and the cars have horrible a/c when you’re in 30’c plus weather
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location, right near the walking streets on the weekend, beds where fab shower is over the bath but that’s ok, the staff could smile more but the downside was breakfast, ok if you’re Asian otherwise it’s toast or fruit.
Cons: Breakfast was basic
5.7 Okay
Pros: Staff were accommodating when we were unhappy with our room. Happily moved us to another room.
Cons: The Spa is terrible. I received a pedicure and manicure and my five year old niece could have done a better job. Don't offer a service if you are unable to deliver a good product.

2.5 Mediocre

7.0 Good
Pros: Outstanding location in an old world style grand hotel. Lots of pictures of historical events and famous persons visiting the hotel. very nice pool and breakfast area.
Cons: This was the 6th hotel in Vietnam we stayed in and the staff here were the least welcoming. They all did their jobs very professionally but had a cold air about them that was quite different from the other places. Yes the fear of the corona virus was ever present, but that was true at the other places as well. Bar and restaurant service was somewhat indifferent and cold. I had the sense of a tired old hotel that relied on its past more than being competitive with other 4 and 5 star establishments
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were impressed by the presence of the hotel which oozed a charm and charisma which I think would be hard to find else where.
Cons: This is an external point, but the DMZ tour was expensive for the quality of the sites visited. There maybe other options, but during the virus panic, it seamed like a good idea.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location. Attached to a lovely cafe with excellent coffee. Room was big enough for my family (me, my husband, and two toddlers.) Also, for dinner they had a Charlie Chaplin movie playing outside which was really amazing. Breakfast was phenomenal.
Cons: The room had a low flow toilet, meaning we had to hold the flusher down for a good 3-5 minutes before everything went down. Also, I scheduled to have a ride pick me up from the train station when I got there and it never came, they said I didn’t confirm it but when I signed for the room and went over the pricing the ride was actually included on the bottom with all details of my arrival attached (I had them remove it.) for a hotel that insisted I didn’t confirm with them, they sure had my train information and ride price down on that initial receipt.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and hotel had a real old world charm to it
7.0 Good
Pros: Loved the age and ambiance of the hotel.
Cons: Staff were under-resourced at breakfast. People had to line up for eggs at breakfast, and ask for coffee on multiple occasions. The staff were lovely and worked hard, but the hotel should pay for more staff to be on shift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Massive room with balcony and a river view. Bar on the top floor has lovely night time views. Breakfast in the garden and excellant service from all the staff. What more could you ask for?
Cons: Couldn't find an faults with this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely turn of the century hotel with modern facilities. Ideally located by the river and central to the town. Loved the breakfast in the garden.

Pros: Hotel was very well appointed, in a great location for all trips, restaurant, night market etc. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, good breakfast and excellent value for money. The staff were all very kind and helpful and I would recommend to anyone.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was nice. The room was very big and had a window facing the street, which was nice because there was a lot of light. Hue is bigger than we expected so I suggest renting a scooter to visit all the places. They can easily arrange this in the lobby. The staff was extremely nice and super helpful. From the fruit juice at our arrival to arranging a motorcycle rent to travel to Da Nang. Breakfast was really good and they have a rooftop where you can enjoy a drink. The pool looked nice but it was super crowded with a lot of kids playing so we didn't use it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay at this hotel last week! Personnel was very attentive, doing everything to get you the best experience possible. We arrived very early in the morning and decided to have breakfast at the hotel, which was located on the 12th floor. Very nice view and the food was good. Within 30 minutes the hospitality manager came to our table and he helped us book a table at a very nice restaurant for that evening, arranged an easy rider tour for us to Hoi An (for only $45 per person!) and explained us the highlights of Hue and what we needed to visit. Truly excellent service! The room was great as well, good shower and there is a pool at the 6th floor where we could cool off after a day of sightseeing. Would definitely recommend and revisit :)
Cons: Very minor thing, we wanted to do some laundry but the prices were very high. So In case you need to do laundry it's better to do it outside of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. This hotel has a super rooms for the reasonable price. Shower strong and hot. Breakfast spread just unbelievable, pool area clean with plenty of towels and shower cabins. Staff is very helpful and polite. One of the best hotels in Vietnam we stayed comparing price and quality.
