1)Swimming pool 2) staffs were really great. Especially Rex was so kind and helpfull
Horrible place. Not even worth for 1000 rupees per night. But they charged 4500 rupees worth nothing. 1) no WiFi at room 2) toilet bowl and sink had lot of stains. We could not use it 3) room was full of mosquitoes 4) surroundings was too dirty 5) over all we had a feeling of third class lodge and they charged 4500 rupees for that
The pool was good.
The rooms were poor, not at all like in the photos. No tissue in Washrooms, torn towels were kept in the washrooms. The bedsheets were also not good. We had to change the rooms, to get a better room. The staff behaved as if we were staying in school hostel. Breakfast was pathetic
We arrived at Tharavadu Heritage Home on a hot afternoon and enjoyed the pool very much. It is a beautiful traditional Kerala little palace, built in 1870 and full of character. We love this kind of places and feel very lucky when we stay in one of them. We are a couple with two sons aged 5 & 7 and it was great that they offered a very large room with 2 double beds. The A/C, the hot water and the WiFi worked all well which was a bonus. Very helpful staff.
Even though we liked very much the place, it could improve a lot with a bit more of attention to details to make it look better looked after...
I enjoyed staying in a quintessential Kerala house - a perfect confluence of naturalness, vernacular architecture and modern amenities. The staff, particularly Rex and Susan, were very warm and courteous and took excellent care of me. They arranged an Ayurvedic massage treatment for me and readily booked taxi rides as needed. The food was mas made to order and impeccably served. I loved using the swimming pool.
The heritage home is located quite close to a temple - and for some odd reason, the temple would play religious songs on a loudspeaker all through the night - as such my sleep was broken and unsatisfactory.
