Emerald View Resort Villa offers an airport shuttle at scheduled times. Guests indulge in spa services, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. An outdoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer DVD players and refrigerators.
Pros: Peaceful, clean, the staff was very inviting
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, my room was huge and had a great view of the ocean. The wifi from my room worked great.Cons: The cost of breakfast $15 US for an omelet was a bit much and the rates they charge for taking you places are steep. Rent a car, it's much more cost effective!!
Pros: extremely friendly and accomodating staff and viewsCons: dated furniture
Breakfast was 10.00 us currency. Resort was quiet and did provide free shuttle to chill out hut on the beach for dinner.Pros: Staff was friendlyCons: Too far out from Montego bay. Taxi fee out of control
Upon arrival we were allowed to choose which room we wanted and picked one with a mountain/ocean view that was beautiful. The room was spacious and had AC and cable tv. the outdoor area was beautiful with a very clean pool and multiple hammocks. As gorgeous as the view and grounds were the best part was by far the staff. Jennifer was so sweet to us and was only a phone call away when we needed to be picked up or taken someplace. She was very accommodating and helpful. The hotel also offered trips to Negril or a luminous water trip that they provided transportation and plans for. We ate breakfast every morning at the hotel as well and it was the best food we had all trip. We tried everything on the Jamaican breakfast menu and all of it was outstanding. It does take a while for your food to be done since they make everything fresh so just allow time for that. Definitely recommend!Pros: The view was gorgeous overlooking the mountains out into the ocean and the staff was by far the best! The breakfast was delicious as well and authentic.Cons: The hotel is a bit far from town, about a 15-20minute ride, so we had to plan going into town accordingly.
The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. The view was one of the best views I had ever seen before. It was very peaceful and quiet and relaxing.Pros: the view of the ocean and surrrounding area and staff
The owner was nice. Should definitely look into remodeling the entire home,Pros: Only the ViewCons: This should not be classified as a resort. It was more of a boarding house type setting. The room was dirty, the kitchen was dirty, overall experience was terrible
Hotel has a great sea view beautiful gardesnsPros: The Location and scenery very goodCons: Being in a hot climate it would make sence to have a ficility for cold drinking water at all times and a vending machine for snacks and sodas Also bed and breakfast should be part of the package.
I would stay somewhere else next time that is closer to everything. The breakfast that she advertised was not the breakfast I got but she still made us pay full price. i was supposed to ackee fish and pancakes but got an omlet and a peice of hard toast. when we walked down the hill a local served a much better breakfast for a whole lot cheaper. Just felt completely ripped off. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Stay somewhere closer to the beach and not on a rocky isolated hill where the walk is torture and the pay adds up to get to basic places at basic times by her shuttle.Pros: I liked the cultural side of it. The view was amazingCons: The hotel owner Jennifer was very deceiving . The hotel is on a rough hill which is isolated from everything and she used this to her advantage by sneaking in charges to take us down the street and back. Made us pay full price for bfast that wasn't good
This property is about 15 miles from the airport. From the airport proceed toward Ochos Rios. When you see the second TOTAL gas station on the left side of the highway turn to the right at the traffic light. Proceed up that road and when you see a Red Arrow at the cross street turn left the villa is about 1 mile further. You must drive slowly on the access roads to prevent damage to your vehicle. The People who operate the villa are the best.Pros: The management and staff were tops.Cons: NO
I would not recommend this hotel due to remote location and the added price to get around. The lower room price is deceiving and not good for attracting return customers. The management advised it was those booking through Priceline.com where breakfasts were excluded. In addition, lasting impressions are everything in the service industry and it didn't sit well with me to have missed the opportunity to perhaps try other restaurants in the area for Jamaican breakfasts if they weren't going to include it anyway.Pros: The staff were nice, but seemed inexperienced in providing quality service.Cons: It is the first time in my life I stayed at a B&B which didn't have breakfast included. My last day I was shocked to learn I had to pay up for the breakfasts I ate. Another customer had Jamaican breakfast included and I was only served US bf...??
The hotel is nice from the outside, but there are some issues with the room. The shower barely worked, very little water came out of it, it was spanned and hard to open or close, and the water came out boiling hot. From the Priceline website I was under the impression that they had free shuttle rides to the airport, which was not true. They charge 35 dollars for it.Luckily we only spent one night at the hotel.Pros: The lady receptionist was very nice, the view was really nice too.Cons: I booked a room that I thought was for four people, but it was for two (my mistake). We negotiated to pay 70 extra dollars so they would put us in a suite where we could all fit. However, they failed to give us extra pillows or sheets.
