Attentive and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, charming room, good size bathroom, plenty of car parking and a nice garden/terrace to the rear of the hotel - highly recommended.
It's not a criticism but would recommend a slightly larger bar area/lounge for pre-meal drinks and nightcaps!
The room and the the choice of breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Waddesdon Manor and gardens are close by and well worth a visit
Wonderful friendliness and helpfulness from all of the staff.
Just around the corner from Waddesdon Manor, which has fantastic art and building, well worth visiting. Hotel is a lovely period building that used to be part of Waddesdon estate, well maintained. Lovely garden, sit and have drinks. Nice room and bathroom. Staff foreign and somewhat clueless but nice people. Restaurant has good food but looks like pub seating. Internet did not work.
The room was a delight. Comfortable bed, crisp white bedlinen, well aired and nice view. Tastefully furnished and spacious. The window opened, always a good point for me and my Husband. Very good evening meal. Excellent choice of wines. Friendly and helpful staff.
For a fried breakfast the bacon was thick and undercooked, the egg was lifeless and the tomatoes were dull and listless. The room we were in was near the kitchen fans. I would ask for a room in another part of the Hotel next time.
