Pros: The hotel represented absolutely superb value for money - The staff were pleasant, the rooms were immaculately clean with mini-bars, LCD TVs and the most comfortable bed I've found in a hotel in a long time (and I travel all over the world on business). The bathroom decor was a little dated but more than compensated for by the cleanliness and the quality of the shower. The bar which was bedecked with signed photos of everyone from Prince Charles, Eisenhower, Montgomery and Stirling Moss to Tom Hanks, Lauren Bacall, John Wayne and Spencer Tracey who all stayed at the hotel was excellent and the restaurant was also very, very nice with extremely good, attentive service, akin to a quality London or Parisien restaurant.

Pros: The woman running the hotel was very lovely, but spoke NO english, which made it a bit difficult, but with hand gestures and a lot of nods she made us dinner reservations at a great restaurant. Pros: Perfectly placed, near the town centre, but also in a quiet location with no disturbance at all during the night. The owners are fantastic and go out of their way to make you feel welcome at all times. Their suggestion for a resturant to enjoy dinner was outstanding and less than a 5 min walk from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would return again myself if the opportunity arose. Also, car parking was the most secure arrangement I have ever encountered, 100% safe.

Pros: Charming & quaint. No elevators but staff personally carried our bags up to 3rd floor. Everyone friendly & helpful. Booking was a breeze. Located right on the main street in the heart of everything in the village. Woke up to the amazing weekly street market in progress right in front of the hotel. Flowers, vegetables, breads, cheeses, meats, fish, crafts, even a magician with magic tricks for the young ones. Best of all (which we didn't know) we could have walked to the hotel from the train station! Had we known, we'd not have had to wait at the station 25 minutes for a five minute cab ride!!!! So for those with rolling cases, be advised you can stroll to the Churchill on your own in only a few minutes. Loved this place. Pros: We were 3 ladies traveling thoughout Normandy. We had rented a car and were driving from town to town. I found Hotel Churchill on Fodors.com on the France forum . I am so glad we booked there. Everything was wonderful - especially the staff. Danielle - worked the night shift and was so incredible helpful and friendly - as were all the other staff - he just happened to be the one we saw the most. He went out of his way to help us with changing a booking for another hotel and to check on getting gas for our car - which there was a shortage of while we were traveling. We just want him to know how much we appreciated him.. The lady in the gift shop was also wonderful. Thank you for a great stay!!!!

Pros: We loved the romance of the whole hotel, it didn't feel like a hotel. The staff were delightful, there was a little dog there (not sure if he belonged to the owners or another guest) but I miss our dog in Australia, so I appreciated being able to rub his belly. We were here for our honeymoon and had hired a car to see the Tapestry and the landing beaches. Also loads of restaurants and cafes in the town. The Swans and the Ducks swimming in the pond and under the little bridge were devine. The bath tub was deep - there is a shower head, but better off just soaking in the tub. Very clean, and nice facilities. We also booked during off season and got a great deal! After booking I found it was the 'top pick' in my Loney Planet guide to France
