Tomten Lodge - Niseko - Bedroom
1
9.3 Excellent (118 reviews)
S$ 242+
Overview Reviews
Tomten Lodge is located only a 9-minute walk from the Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort. The cosy non-smoking property located at the foot of the ski resort offers free WiFi throughout the property. Rooms have heating facilities and a TV. Toilets and bathrooms are shared. Guests can use a small shared fridge. A continental western breakfast is served. Tomten Lodge is a 2-hour drive from Sapporo Station.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Fuji went above and beyond to help us coordinate shipping our skis to Narita. He is also very knowledgable about skiing options in the area. I would recommend the TomTen for Fuji's kindness alone.
Cons: The rooms/beds are typical Japanese rooms and are very small. However, there is really very little room to store your clothes/ski gear in the room. Knowing that everyone is visiting for a ski vacation, it would be really nice if they put in a few more shelves or some sort of dresser. The beds were of average comfort. Keep in mind that this is a hostel and it did get loud at times. Also, there are only a few restaurants near by and most are spendy and require reservations (that were booked out a few days). Thus you'll have to travel into Niseko, which is a 30+ minute shuttle ride.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Walking distance to Annupuri lift but have free drop off to the lift in the morning. Clean room and bathrooms. Great value. Free breakfast.
Cons: No convenience store close to the lodge.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fuji was the best caretaker ever
Cons: No tv in the lounge area but we had one in our room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing service. Fuji is great value and always happy to help. close to the lifts and onsens
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Fuji was an amazing help this time and one of my previous stays at the same place. Tomten Lodge is a cozy place just a short walk from the slopes. Facilities are as advertised and kept very clean. Plan to stay again for future trips to Niseko.
Cons: The distance from any grocery stores is a bit inconvenient, but simply riding the lifts to the top and going down the mountain toward Hirafu can solve that issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are the best!
Cons: Maybe provide some more toothbrush maybe?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect ! Thank you very much Fuji for your help !
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic stay. Delicious food with view over the vulcano! A very nice onsen and very friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, at the reception but the waiter in the An Dining restaurant in particular. The guy told us many background stories about the dishes. He was very considerate. Clean and comfortable private onsen, free of charge. Nice view from the room of Mount Yotei. Clean and modern room.
Cons: The fridge and toilet make noises. Maybe you can turn it off before sleeping.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is very friendly bonus is most can speak English n easy to communicate.
Cons: Hotel pick up end too early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my family's second visit to Ki Niseko. As always, everything was perfect. Breakfast - our favourite. Quality ingredients. We checked-in a two-bedroom apartment. Spacious, air-con cool enough (rare in japan!), very clean... We will definitely come again!
Cons: Onsen slightly stuffy. Otherwise, no complaint at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: i loved the room! thou they are smaller size as compared to my other hotels for this trip but its sparkling clean! Best part of it is the hotel is smoking free! Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. We booked the view of Mount Yotai, million dollar view! :) An impt point, even thou the room does not come with a hot spring tub but the hotel provide public hot spring pool as well as private hot spring room. You can actually make a booking to use the private area where only you and your friends can enter, total privacy! Each room can use the private area for 40mins. Location may not be that fantastic. You will need to drive. But this is not impt. Ultimately the view and the comfort is worth the trip!
Cons: Breakfast will be great if more choices of food..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the unobtrusive staff to the quality of breakfast, it deserves every award it has won. Its lay-out is well thought out and the apartment was well equipped for our family’s needs. The private Onsen was a plus point too.
6.7 Good
Pros: This place was stellar in many respects. Most of my interactions with the staff were stellar. Food and drink was really good. The location was excellent. It was our anniversary, and a bottle of bubbly was left on the house, and I was very happy with the view from our side.
Cons: There were multiple snafus or failings during my stay. Frankly very disappointing given the price point. I believe there needs to be better management of the private spa booking. When we arrived 30 minutes late for our scheduled time (Dinner took longer than anticipated), we still had to wait because someone else was in the facility outside of their scheduled time. Perhaps they should add a wall clock so people are aware of the time. Then because we didn't have a way to discern the time we had ran a five minutes over ourselves. We were getting redressed when someone, I believe to be managing the desk this time, though they failed to before. Insistently pounded on the door, even when we made it clear we were dressing at the moment and would be out shortly. Very rude that we got a bad experience coming and going. Also, we went to order room service. When we called they informed us that during the Summer season there was no room service. Though I was looking at a room service menu. Apparently the menu had mistakenly been left in the room. The good news is that it was acknowledged that it was a mistake that the menu was left in the room. They still prepared our order, which was quite good, with one exception. The pasta strangely had two thin rusty pieces of steel in it! I didn't raise the issue at the time because I was too annoyed to be especially pleasant. For the price of the room even reduced, I would expect room service to still be available regardless of the season. Perhaps more so given that many eateries are closed for the season. Making a stay at this hotel much less convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Water pressure from the shower was strong and makes a very nice relaxing bath. Beds were comfy but narrow as I had the single bed. Seem smaller than regular single size beds. Service was overall very good and consistent. Concierge helpful with suggestions.
Cons: Housekeeping was not attentive. Missing floor towels and hand towels on some days and no turn down service. Room temperature difficult to manage. Air vent quite noisy and kept turning on and off.

Pros: The manager is so friendly and nice, she made our stay so welcoming. The location couldn't have been any better, just minutes away from the lifts and steps away from all the food and shops. It was always warm and dry, it felt like home, I already miss it.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location. Comfy beds. Amenities are very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious with lots of storage. Beds were very comfy we stayed in the Japanese style room. I made the most of the onsen which is a private shower/onsen room for one. We enjoyed the breakfast which was cereal, fruit, eggs, salad, toast and some kind of meat. They also had nice filter coffee. The wholw place is very clean and it is only minutes away from the lifts up the mountain. Would recommend staying here to anyone!
Cons: I did want the Japanese breakfast but they only had a western style which was still great. The rooms could be more soundproof. The bathrooms are busy in the mornings but that is to be expected.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is simple, homely accomodation in an excellent location.
Cons: The "shared bathroom" is like a traditional Japanese Onsen. Getting naked in front of others and washing together is a bit too challenging for many.

Pros: The staff was awesome. The location was great. The place just has so much atmosphere . Cool music. Fantastic breakfast and dinner is always something to look forward to. The rooms are spacious and lovely rustic charm i
Cons: Very minor but perhaps some softer pillows and shower facilities upstairs would be good but I don’t really want the place to change it’s great as it is, a little rustic but atmospheric galore, no bling here and thanks for that
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent! Only a short walk to the lifts. wonderful staff who were quick to accommodate any requests.
Cons: Larger cups needed for tea and coffee making
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We visited in Feb - prime winter skiing. Amazing add on meal options, just absolutely nutritious and delicious, especially after a day on the mountain! A very easy walk up to the ski field. The team can organise lift tickets (exchange vouchers - cheaper than the field), and skis for you. Option for evening trip to an Onsen available too. Very friendly team, happy to help you out!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is slightly tough for us to locate as maybe we were here during the heavy snow. Free parking space available in front of the home stay. Must try their special dinner set and their complimentary breakfast is good. The owner is very friendly sending us to the Authentic Hot Spring and drop by us at a supermarket for our supper. The room is scented and the decoration is quite unique.
Cons: Nothing except for the night were disturbed by other guest who were stuck outside of the house in the middle of the night. They were yelling for help and we were awaken by them. Noticing there are no respond to them so my partner went down to the Basement and ask for the staff to help them up. The night was quite scary when we heard the yelling sound.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great hotel, great owner and great staff Breakfast and dinner are superb The owner takes us to different hot spring every night I got injured during snowboarding, the owner drive me all the way to the hospital in the evening Feel like home and will stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed every second there- from the accommodating staff, the breakfast and dinner are delicious and they changed the menu everyday, it’s much better than the dinner offered at outside restaurants, which are crowded, poor quality and expensive. We had amazing service by all the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Besides the deciduous meal service, they have the shuttle pick up service, onsen after dinner, ski equipment rental etc, We felt like royalty there! I have been in Niseko for ski twice a year in the past 10 years, I was staying at different hotels in this area, Milky House gave me the surprising that there services and food quality are better than those four and five stars hotels and resorts here. Sure will come again to catch the cozy and friendly atmosphere, Feel like home, so warm and comfortable! The room is clean and tidy Solomon and Armando, provided excellent service too! We never went thirsty, and they brought us out some shots to try every night! They were so much fun just to hang out with! These gentleman were top-notch in serving their patrons!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful time at our stay at the milky house cottage. The owner was extremely kind and the staff were excellent. The 3 course dinner (an extra) was well worth it. And the Onsen trio is a must.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view from the cottage and great hospitality! The staff at the inn were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional. My family liked it a lot.

Pros: Read a lot about Mr Dave-san hospitality. I have to agree on that. Didn't expect that he came to fetch us as niseko market! Did told him, im gonna walk there with my elderly which took us about 45mins. He even pick us up at niseko village later that day. U are definitely our savior that day Mr Dave. thank u so very much!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dave and his wife make Hotel Resort Inn such a lovely place. We've stayed at many hotels around the world but this one is the most special one for us. Here are the reasons why you should choose Hotel Resort Inn: 1) Clean and comfortable room: the rooms are kept spotless clean. 2) Private onsen: you can book the private onsen on the 2nd floor in advance. It is such a treat after a day of skiing. 3) Access to ski resorts: Dave drive you to different ski resorts every morning at 9am. Dave will drop you at the most convenient places so that you can buy lift pass or get on the gondola quickly. Unless you stayed at a ski-in and ski-out hotel in Niseko, you will need to walk or take shuttle bus to the lifts anyway. We even managed to travel to Rusutsu for two days during our stay. The hotel is 3 minutes from a bus stop where you can take ~8:30 bus to Rusutsu (only 30 minutes ride). You can choose to take 15:15 bus or 17:15 bus to return and Dave can pick you up from the bus stop. 4) Ski rental: Dave will arrange ski rental at a nearby rental shop and the price is quite reasonable. 5) Meals: absolutely delicious buffet breakfast. If you want to eat dinner in Niseko Village, Dave will drive you to nearby restaurants. If you want to relax, you can order simple meals from Dave's wife and relax in the common area in the hotel. 6) Hospitality: this is like a home away from home. Dave and his wife worked so hard to make sure all guests have the best ski holiday. We cannot wait to come back for the next ski holiday.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. We are happy about every single details during our stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay. It was the best ski holiday. Warm hospitality, delicious breakfast and dinner, efficient transportation, comfortable room with the best view, and relaxing bath. I look forward to my next visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want somewhere quiet and peaceful with excellent service and facilities this is the place. Dave and his lovely wife made us feel like part of the family and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Lots of nice restaurants nearby and good value compared to Hirafu. Dave took us everywhere we needed to go. So much better than staying in noisy Hirafu with all the crowds.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, very well organised and run. Great value and facilities.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The main staff guy, Dave, was amazing! He drove us everywhere we needed to go including to the pharmacy as I was really sick. He made sure I was okay, even offered to take us to the hospital. He calls to make your dinner reservations ever night then will drive you there. Also the private bath is free and gorgeous, with a fabulous view of niseko! When you stay here, you don’t have to worry about anything, Dave does it all!

7.1 Good
Pros: The room was clean. There was a morning shuttle to the lifts. The facilities are new and we'll kept.
Cons: Coffee was mediocre. Breakfast selection was limited.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very awesome place and friendly staffs and nice area to put ur snow gear after the days riding
Cons: the door on one of the bathroom was a bit broken ( the hinge was loose )
7.1 Good
Pros: A dated lodge filled with stuff, and almost entirely run by Australians, who are friendly as usual. Breakfast is decent, with great views out over the snow toward the soaring Mt Yotei. Everything is set up for skiing, with dedicated heating rooms for gear, and an early free shuttle, on top of the standard free all-day shuttles. The international community here is friendly, although there's very little that's Japanese about the lodge, with most visitors coming from Australia. Free shuttle to and from the bus station was a great help.
Cons: Distance is a little far from the slopes - outside of the early free shuttle, you're often standing in the cold waiting for a shuttle van to pass the closest stop. It feels a bit like an old people's home in some ways - lots of stuff hanging all over the walls, things lying around, dated decor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thankyou so much guys, you made my time in Niseko amazing! You are all so welcoming and warming, it really felt like home! Beds are comfy Shower is powerful Living room and bar room is amazing Breakfast is great There is a shuttle bus 4 mins walk down the road which takes you to the slopes from 8:30am - 8:30pm, operating every 20mins.

Pros: The location of pension is perfect for snowboarding! The entrance of pension is just 30m away from the slope. The Iroha hot spring is very near to the pension. You can be relaxed your body after snowboarding at the hot spring!!
Cons: The shuttle bus is not running lately, so you have to organize your day trip very well to get back to Annupuri from Kutchan area or other resorts by free shuttle bus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is a wonderful Japanese woman who did everything she could to make our trip as wonderful as possible. We were able to ship our snowboarding equipment straight to the guesthouse through a Japanese service, and she also helped send it back home. The ski room is very convenient and has direct access to the lifts (just a few steps away!) and also near the bus stop to other nearby resorts. The rooms are warm and small, but clean and perfectly adequate if you're trying to have a nice ski trip. I would recommend this place to any friend who is looking for a trip that doesn't drain all your funds so you can focus on skiing/snowboarding!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were amazing! They gave us lots of good information, helped us with ski rentals and places to eat. They were always happy to help. Closest spot on Annupurri mountain to the ski lifts. Amazing view!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the old lady staff who facilitate our stay was very helpful to us eventhough she cannot speak in english. we arrive at 8pm and she was worried about us because we haven’t eat our dinner, she serve us her homemade cake and hot tea, perfect for the weather. we also had some hiccups with our transpo back to sapporo because the last shuttle bus service was only available till april 1 for their winter package. April 2 was our flight to osaka from Sapporo so we are worried that we cannot enjoy our first snow experience, but the old lady and maybe her husband help us the best they can and even use their private car to send us to the nearest public bus station. im so happy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 150 metres from annupuri gondola. Great service and good value for location and accommodation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They treated me like a family member. The service was above expectation.
Cons: The property is a bit dated but it adds to the charm. I felt getting to it was difficult but the location is amazing for wintery fun.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect Location for ski/snowboard lovers. Literally 20 m from the skilift (Annupuri resort). Very kind hosts with little english, but a big heart.
Cons: The beds are super hard - in fact it’s a simple futon matrasse on a wooden bed frame.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was a five minute walk from Annupuri Ski area, just take the bus to Annupuri and get it’s barely a 2 minute walk! Very convenient if you are skiing. It was very clean and the hall was very chill with light jazz music. Breakfast was adequate, the nearest mini mart would be at Hirafu village which is a 15-20 minutes bus ride on the NUS shuttle. There are ovens and hot water provided it was just perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were so kind and welcoming, always bringing us fresh tea and snacks. The room was comfortable and had a nice warm heater. There was always jazz playing in the common area. Breakfast was filling. Local shops and restaurants had pick up/drop off service which was very useful. We could ski off the resort and walk 40 seconds to our front door.
Cons: The location is really close to annupuri ski report, but is a little far from the main town of hirafu. This was nice and relaxing but for others may not be ideal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very welcoming, caring, respectful and the music was great!
Cons: Basement has smell of gasoline probably for the heating.

Pros: Cafe expensive. No shuttle bus during the day
Cons: Staff were lovely. Clean. Helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, quietness, service, staff, breakfast, facilities.
Cons: The ventilation system in the room 001 was performing very poorly. It was pretty stuffy in the room at night despite the fact that the air conditioner was turned on at the full power. Had to crack the door open during the night to keep the air inflow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly. Property was clean and tidy. Sleeping pod was comfortable with plenty of storage space. Great breakfast and food in general.
Cons: Location. Moiwa ski area is very small and not connected to wider Niseko area. WiFi not too good when in the pod.

Cons: No cooking
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staf as been great and the facilities awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! Great location! Amazing restaurant!
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast, location and staff were fantastic. The capsule storage design and the locker design is one of the best I've seen. There was just so much space to store gear and having your own locker to store skis and boots is a brilliant idea. And the free shuttle car - great idea and lovely driver too.
Cons: More areas to sit with friends (particularly those of the opposite sex - as rooms are segregated) and eat your own food. There was a restaurant area, but you weren't allowed to consume your own food and drinks in this area. There was a little lounge room and one table upstairs that were generally taken. And an onsen would be nice too.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bunk beds were huge and the breakfast was amazing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location with great on-site ski and snowboard rentals. Perfect for anyone going to Niseko for a powder trip.

Pros: Bountiful of foods artistically presented. Breakfast was in the private room with the window facing the creek with snow by the creek side. Totally peaceful and zen. Quite a memorable moment.
Cons: Some parts of Dinner were not as tasty as the rest.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Very good amenities: spacious room, private onsen, great food - Friendly and flexible staff: during our stay my wife contracted food poisoning, and the staff did everything to accommodate her, such as stomach medicine, adapting the breakfast menu, and delaying our check-out time - We appreciated the welcome at check-in, with a cup of tea and a quick tour with through the hotel with explanations for the various amenities - The general feeling we got while staying a the Niseko Konbu Onsen Tsuruga Moku-no-sho was that we could totally relax, and everything was taken care of. No additional charges or hidden costs for anything including drinks (wine, sake, beers, coffee, tea) or small snacks.
Cons: - It would have been nice to have the option for a late breakfast (10:00 am), but it seems this is very unusual anywhere in Japan - The bar has quite limited opening hours, and the available small snacks are only available after 18:00, which is also dinner time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food and drink was incredible - staff were extremely hospitable and the room was gorgeous. Really felt super relaxed and a wonderful environment. Wish we had stayed longer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Free shuttle from Sapporo - Free shuttle to and from ski resort(s) - Teppanyaki (amazing wagyu beef and crab followed by creme brulee with matcha ice cream) - Private breakfast room on last morning - Wine available in the lounge area all day - Free snacks in the evening (yams, marshmallows roasted on the fire) - Full body massage - A variety of lounge wear including kimonos - Relaxed atmosphere - The tuna with ginger dip at dinner - Private onsen with the sound of the river flowing by
Cons: - This was the first time I've had a massage in such a bright room. I'm used to candle lit rooms in the UK but maybe this is the Japanese style! Not something that would put me off and massage was still delightful - There was one day I didn't go skiing and it would have been nice to have had a small snack around lunchtime (although they do put tasty cookies in your room every day!)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We styad one night and it was pretty relaxing. =] The massage chair in the room was just lovely. Small but beautifully built onsen to relax in whenever we wanted. There was free snacks (potaoes and bbq marshmallows) before food and free drinks after dinner which was a cherry on top. The free shuttle bus service to the main station and ski areas was very convenient.
Cons: It got a bit noisy in the lobby when guests were enjoying free drinks and lounging around quietly. A bunch of Chinese guests rushed in taking selfies and sang birthday songs a few times. The staff, in their timid Japanese way, tried to hush them but to no avail. Other than that, everything else was lovely.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view of river and beautifull scenery . Natural ambience and privat onsen out side the room is comfortable. Kaiseki dinner everyday with different menu is really good .
Cons: It a bit far from niseko down town , but quite place .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is so good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: japanese service taken to another level excellent restaurant (deserves a michelin did not encounter
Cons: did not encounter issues reported in other reviews on english language ability; it is actually very good (for japan)
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Terrible beds and even worse meals. Never again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are very helpful and friendly! We appreciate the windows with mosquito screens which could let in fresh air! Dinner was very delicious and beautiful presented! Surrounding creek and mountain views were tranquil and beautifully relaxing!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great to have breakfast included, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were well laid out and very clean. The air conditioning worked well and was easy to handle.
Cons: The rooms were a little cramped I felt, and when multiple people were staying in the same room it could get a little loud / smelly, but that's sorta just how it goes with rooms like that. The bathroom was clean but you were always worried you might get walked in on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super helpful, the lodge offered free pick up and drop off when we arrived and left. The location is excellent, close to many good restaurants and you can even walk to the lift. There is also a free shuttle bus stop right in front of the lodge, which you can take directly to the lift with your equipment on, very convenient. The shared bathrooms and shower room are well maintained and clean.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is good. Staff is nice. Rooms clean. Didn’t expect they would drive me to the welcome centre on my check out day. Happy day! :)
Cons: May be more bathroom?! Pretty far to go to the bathroom when u r on second level and being desperate for toilet in the middle of the night. But this is not something that can be changed easily. Except this tiny thing everything is great at Moorea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, location is close to the lifts and a nice onsen, staff was super helpful and friendly, and a bunch of fun people were always hanging out at the hostel. Would stay here again.
7.1 Good
Cons: Shower room was a bit tiny, and sometimes small bugs were found (maybe because the shower room is on the basement floor, and it is humid) Everything was fine except for that.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good Location; stop 2 of the Hirafu shuttle is at the door. Only six minute walk to lower lift. Good WiFi, Helpful staff. Stayed in a small twin room with en suite. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was adequate; however a little variation would be appreciated
9.2 Excellent
Pros: great location, shuttle bus stop just outside of the door ,short walk from the slopes about 15mins,the staff are friendly, simple good breakfast , met foreign nice roommates ,would definitely come back next winter

Pros: Excellent breakfast and dinner; comfy bed; nice quiet vibe, good location

Pros: Dinner and breakfast was very good quality food. they had a good chef when I was there. could even make vegetarian food.
Cons: If you need to eat breakfast or dinner you have to inform the stuff from previous day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Max the owner is super friendly and helpful, staff were the best. Met the best people of the trip here. Awesome Experience
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so fun! Max is incredibly accommodating and makes sure that all the things for your trip are taken care of. The food is unbelievably delicious and the company of the people who stay here is like family. Even though the location is a little off the beaten path there are plenty of things that you can do with the hostel. There are onsen tours each evening to end your day on the slopes the most relaxing way possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.. But above all Max generosity. A real heaven with an owner who does everything to make sure you feel home. NISEKO won't be the same without this experience.
Cons: Everything was just perfect..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really felt like family. Staff and guests made it the accommodation highlight of my trip. Shuttles to and from winter destinations (ski resorts and onsens) and good food on location. Everything you need. I will return! Thank you for the amazing stay Karimpani Niseko Fujiyama!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The whole staff was wonderful - a lot of young folks woofing for the winter and a few locals. Max, the owner speaks really fluent English and is so helpful with everything. He was very quick to answer email questions before we arrived, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This is a hostel, so if you are a light sleeper like me, definitely pack an eye mask and a pair of ear plugs and be ready to interact with your fellow guests. If you have the money(i.e. you can afford a little more than combini dinners) dinner at Karimpani is absolutely worth the investment. Always delicious Japanese home style and you leave totally stuffed for less than $12 US. The shuttle service to the Niseko ski fields every morning and afternoon is great, as well if you come without a vehicle like we did. There is a gear drying room so your space doesn’t smell like stinky wet ski boots and gear, and ample space for skis in the front entry. This is a very clean and welcoming hostel, definitely book it if you have the chance! Loved everything about our stay!!
Cons: Nothing!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, when my daughter was sick they drove us to the doctors which was a 30 min drive away. The Onsen at the hotel is very nice. Over all a very good experience.
Cons: Probably the only issue I had was at night when I was going to sleep and put my head down on the pillow I could feel a slight vibration from the heater fan up above the ceiling. This heater had to stay on at night as it was very cold outside. Also I suppose with the amount nights we stayed we should have got a slightly cheaper rate per night, there was no difference on the pricing from 7 nights to 10 nights.
7.9 Good
Pros: Honestly, didn't expect the very spacious room given for us, the design was superb and even equip with your own in-room hotbath supplied from the rock source itself. Yukata was given for the guest to wear during the stay. The hotel room was equipped with common room, bedroom, cabinet room, toilet, bath room. Almost as if you check into an apartment. Onsen was also available within the facility; indoor and open air outdoor natural bath.
Cons: The food provided could have been halal or muslim-friendly menu since the dinner and breakfast is part of the package. Shuttle pick-up from the nearby train-station should or could have been mention to ease our journey since it's quite out there away from city-centre (as nearest station is Niseko Station)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous customer service, which was the best part of the stay. Outdoor onsen is nice. Not busy if you go in the morning before they close for cleaning (9am-12pm) or before 6pm dinner. Very comfortable bed with both hard and soft pillows. The lobby area looks newly renovated and is very nice. Excellent traditional japanese dinner and japanese/western breakfast. Affordable udon/soba lunch is available and is better than what's offered at the ski resort. Massage chairs in the lounge by the ski lockers are great too.
Cons: The rooms are clean but a bit old compared with the style of the lobby. The ceiling of the indoor onsen needs to be cleaned...looks like mold up there. Keep in mind that there is not a lot to do here at this resort other than the onsen and relaxing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Ski slopes within walking distance. Away from the huge crowds which made skiing most pleasant. The onsen was great. The experience of soaking in the hot water, seeing the snow around us and having icicles form on our hair was unforgetable. One of our best experiences. The staff was most helpful. One of my family members left her handphone in our room after we checked out and realised only we have reached our next destination. When I called, the staff arranged for the phone to be sent to New Chitose Airport for us before our flight. We offered to reimburse the courier fees but they declines as they used the Chuo Bus Service, their parent company to do the delivery! Most surprised and grateful. We got back our phone of course as promised! Thanks so much. Kudos to the staff for such excellent service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, excellent onsen. Dinner was sumptuous and great efforts put into the menu.
Cons: not applicable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We can walk from the Hokkaido Resort Liner Annupuri bus stop, to the ski school and slopes within 10 minutes.
Cons: For our second dinner, it was so full that after consuming all, I got stomach ache symptoms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is right by the slope. Less than five minutes walk to the ticket center. The hot spring is fantastic. Not so big, but cozy. Both breakfast and dinner are very tasty and nicely presented. The pillow is super comfortable. We had a wonderful stay.
Cons: It is a little bit far from the town center. If you are up for restaurants, bars, and shopping, taxi is needed. It takes about 15-20 minutes to Hirafu.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast had Western as well as Japanese options and was OK. Dinner had option of DIY BBQ (just fine) or Japanese Kaiseki, 9-course meal, which was excellent. Onsen was awesome and hotel was clean, welcoming and quiet. We liked the fact that Annupuri and this hotel are off the beaten track for most westerners, making this a cultural experience as well as a comfortable, excellent vacation stay.
Cons: Room was very hot at night even with heat turned completely off. Had to open windows. Would have preferred at least a minimal shower in room- any bathing had to be at the onsen. Toilet and sink in room were great and we quickly adapted to onsen living.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly. The room was well compartmentalised and spacious enough. I liked the walk-in wardrobe with a basket to put our used yukata; a good toilet with equally good skin care products as the public bath; a towel hanger near the warmer which allowed towels to dry faster. The kaiseki dinner was fantastic with authentic Japanese cuisine. The taste of the food was awesome and the staff serving us was extremely warm hearted with true Japanese spirit. They were very polite and service oriented and treated every foreign and local tourists with equality. I really felt comfortable eating there. The onsen was very nice also and the outdoor onsen looked similar like the one at green leaf hotel. Moreover, it was not crowded. I also liked the ice cream corner and kids play room which my son loved it so much. The vending machines with milk choices was great after our onsen. The lounge with fantastic nature view, massage chairs, free coffee and comfortable reading tables was marvellous and cosy. In conclusion, it is value for money with spacious traditional japanese room with kaiseki dinner with good onsen and straight forward facilities. I have been to Hokkaido many times and i can say this will be one of my favourite hotel in my list. Sometimes it is hard for me to find a hotel with a traditional room ambience with nice onsen view. A lot of times, some hotels have become commercialised or over crowded. I hope this hotel will maintain this standard whenever i come during winter with my family.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wow, this place is simply the best. We visited during Japanese Christmas in early April. The gound was absolutely beautiful with a thick blanket of snow. The snow covered mountains and ski slopes at this ski lodge could be viewed from our room, lounge and dining room windows. We arrived late at night by taxi when the kitchen was closed. Every last detail of our taxi ride to the resort was seamlessly coordinated with the staff. We felt welcome! Takumi H. (Reception) met us at the door. His first words were, "Did you eat yet?" How is that for a greeting? We felt even more welcome and much appreciated. He spontaneously retrieved the bags from the cab and escorted us inside. He didn't stop there! He instantly arranged for food for our churning bellies. Working closely and seamlessly with Kaoru S. (Bar) we were made comfortable in the lounge of our choosing and fed to our heart's content. Our welcome meal was a prime taste of what was to come. I had the curry dish with a side salad. So good! So appetizing! My tastebuds were warmed and soothed by this meal. All three of us loved our makeshift, late night dinner and drinks that Kaoru lovingly put together and served us with such grace and passion. The onsen was still open. We had over one hour until midnight until it closed. After freshening up, we hit the segregated onsens while doing some laundry. Resort has three sets of coin-operated washer/dryers. The onsen was great. Outdoor onsen was fantastic with occasional snow blowing your way. Again, WOW! Just beautiful! Sauna in the Onsen area was great also with cold bath available. Next morning, exploring this beautiful resort was a delight. The lounge(s) were lounge-worthy. The gift shop was well-stocked and staff there was helpful. The Christmas trees in the beautiful reception area coupled with the snow outside was the essence of magical wonderland. Buffet breakfast in the 2nd Floor dining room was like no other.
Cons: They need to do a better job dusting and cleaning the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good deal in summer...beautiful stay..onsen..room ...breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size room. Good buffet restaurants. In winter it is very close to the ski lifts.
Cons: Not enough electric outlets. No AC. Not within easy walking distance of many other restaurants / shops.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, I was counting down to the hours till I check out
Cons: it it a very old hotel, I asked for a non smoking room, but I was given a smoking room. They changed me to another room which was really old, dark, has a musky smell and the table fan is full of dust! I wondered if the room has been “empty” for a period of time. Dinner was not worth the price I paid.
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent staff like Kamu who went the extra miles for my family.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and Onsen
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - amazing place - friendly staff - very good breakfast included - fantastic beds (big & very comfortable)
Cons: - rooms are outdated compared to reception/restaurant - the non-smoking rooms are behind the smoking rooms. So you walk through the hall with smoke smell before you can access the non-smoking rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great, close to ski area and there’s a slope for child to play next to the hotel.
Cons: Everything.

Pros: Extra ordinary service and facility
Cons: None
7.1 Good
Pros: The restaurant view is the highlight of the hotel and skii rental price is reasonable. Direct bus from airport to hotel and good shuttle bus schedule to the skii resort.
Cons: I’ve been staying this hotel in the past 3 years on my snowboarding trip. Feels like the standard getting lower. I’ve reserved a private onsen but the interiors really not match my expectations. Aged interiors and no towels and no lotion and toner etc...... The room toilet kind of old too....
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast buffet was good. Onsen was incredible with sauna, cold bath and nice outdoor view onsen
Cons: Unorganised, unwelcoming Staff made everything difficult. Many times they refused to help and go out of the way to help us in a bad situation. Some stuff were nice. The busses weren't enough for the poor location away from all the restaurants and main ski area. Busses left early often and the person in charge of skiing was rude and unhelpful in times of need. Bathroom was cramped and old. Very hard beds.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was lovely as were the hotel staff, very accommodating. The Onsen was exceptional. The food selection was very good. We found the room comfortable with the exception of the bed, much harder than we are used to, with that said we totally survived.
Cons: The bed was quite hard.

Cons: Travel connections to the city
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the apartment was spacious and well appointed with everything you needed for a long stay. The hotel facilities were good, staff friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Maybe a couple of extra shuttle bus services would have been good. It was late in the ski season so the frequency of buses had probably been reduced in line with the amount of people staying there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shuttle busses saved us and the staff is super friendly I forgot my wallet there and I called them and they are gonna send it by mail. Amazing staff
Cons: There was something wrong with the sewage in the area so the second day of our stay started to smell really bad ! The whole hotel smelled like sewage !

Pros: Every thing is perfect
Cons: No

Pros: Great spacious room for family like us!
Cons: Far away from town

Pros: Spacious room with all amenities. Reasonably priced restaurant with an Italian theme. Buffet breakfast was quite satisfying.
Cons: Lack of English instructions for a number of the appliances. Considerable distance from other amenities but a free shuttle bus is available.

Pros: Surrounded by the green, the hotel is serene and peaceful in summer. The rooms are cozy and spacious, suitable for family travellers. Simple meals can be prepared in the kitchen.

7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect location in the middle of town and next to the slopes. Ski room is really well designed (if a bit old) with racks for boards and skis, a dry room that actually dries your boots and easy exit to the slopes. Onsen facilities are really good
Cons: Japanese rooms have thin walls and you can hear people next door if they are noisy. However staff was responsive and quick to make a warning call to the people next door.
6.7 Good
Pros: 1. The quality of the breakfast is acceptable with a few items above average. However, it is only served from 0730 to 0900 hrs. This is the shortest breakfast I have ever come across. 2. The location of the hotel is good.
Cons: The mattress and bedding have to be laid by the hotel guest. However, the hotel staff fold the mattress every day and just put a new bedding linen on top. This means I have to prepare the bed every night.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Could have had a bathroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property is clean, comfortable and the staff are helpful and were able to accommodate our requests. The breakfasts are good with a variety of western and Japanese foods. There is an on site onsen open 24hr which is very nicely laid out and well maintained. The location is perfect. You can access the one ski lift/ ticket sales via a road behind the building that is covered in snow so you can ski out. On the way back in there is a steep hill but luckily it is short. The hotel is 200m to Rhythm rental store and less 0.5- 1 km to numerous restaurants. They have a ski room to keep all your equipment. And is a short walk up the hill from the welcome centre where most of the transport to niseko comes in. We were very happy with our pick!
Cons: We paid a premium for the hotel over Chinese New Year so value for money prob wasn’t the best BUT it was the cheaper option when we booked so considering that it was pretty good and better than we thought it was going to be!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety of Japanese and Western choices. Their ski storage/dry room was also very large and could handle a large number of guests. They were also quite good at allowing people who arrived in the morning before check-in to use their changing room and storage facility to get ready for a day on the slopes. But their location was probably the highlight. One door down from rental shop, across the street from grocery/food, and with literal ski-out access to the lower lift. Couldn't ask for more!
Cons: The Japanese rooms didn't have bathrooms inside (at least a sink would have been nice), but the shared bathrooms were fairly nice. It was also a little loud when large groups came through.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, really nice place, and an excellent onsen. Breakfast was really good too (albeit a que on the weekends). Overall I really liked this hotel and would stay here again.
Cons: Wifi was poor in our room and cut out frequently. Although it seemed to work okay in places such as the stairwell. Would be nicer if breakfast started earlier.

Cons: Bath towels are changed every three days
