Helpfulness of staff and location
Rich and diverse breakfast, comfortable bed, good location, newspapers at hand.
Reasonably good location for the area and easy access to trams, plenty of buses and taxis on tap. Staff were very helpful and reasonably knowledgable about everything we asked. Room was cleaned and bed changed daily, fresh new clean towels too, thank you for that. Tea, coffee machine and hot Chocolate in the room with TV and phone all to hand. Air conditioning in the room was lovely, warm and quiet. Blackout curtains and a big window that opened for some fresh air, looked out onto a courtyard and roof tops.
Bath far too small. Shower fixed at a height and not powerful enough, but lovely and hot. A very large full wall mirror above the toilet! Hmm what is that all about. The bed was massive and comfortable if somewhat too soft for us. But had a lovely nights sleep. Paid €11 Euro for breakfast in advance, well! Quite possibly one of the worst breakfast we’ve had. Black and white pudding, under sized and over spiced and rock hard! Bacon under cooked slightly fatty and the fried eggs! Since when does a fried egg need a round mould? Hard and rubbery. It’s possible to find a Full Irish breakfast outside for €8 though. The location is ok as I said, although there’s an original street market down the side street. We walked up it on one of the nights to see a Middle Aged woman being punched and abused by a drunk or drug user after her cycle, which was padlocked up and she had the key. If it wasn’t for 2 guys and myself and partner who stopped, she would have lost out on her face and her cycle. Beware, of drunks, drug users and plenty of homeless. Which is a shocking shame this day and age.
