Perfect for Firenze visit
Beautiful, large rooms. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Excellent restaurant.
Luxury hotel in VERY busy tourist area
Outstanding Service. Particularly Concierge (Sergio) and Front Desk. Moderately satisfactory gym on site Very good buffet breakfast and great service. Sound of the chimes of Duomo Great sound proof windows which could be opened if desired
Location too busy for us. Right in the very middle of heavy tourist area. Some people like that, we don't. Small room but that is standard in European city. However, shower was so small that it was almost impossible to maneuver.
Poor service and tiny rooms
The breakfast is excellent, with a very large dining area and lots of selections. The location is also very good, with easy access to the Duomo.
The rooms are tiny by any standard, with so little room between the beds and the walls that you can barely walk beside them. There is no room for a bidet in the minuscule bathroom, and the shower is so small that I had to open the door to be able to wash myself (and I'm not a large person). Rather than being an elegant hotel, it is a strange mix of some contemporary elements atop an old hotel that is in disrepair. The service is also rude and unhelpful. I couldn't wait to leave and will never stay there again.
Great breakfasts, Very comfortable bed, Central location
A bit difficult to find when walking from train station. Room was too warm for my taste. Unable to regulate room temperature. Opened window, and then got a lot of street noise from adjacent busy street.
Everyone was absolutely superb. Location was perfect. Hotel was very helpful. We really enjoyed it.
Fantastic location, 4.5 star hotel in the center o
Location, location, location. Clean, helpful staff comfortable bed
Street noise can be heard in room slow internet
The Staff were very nice and very accommodating. Anytime we had any questions they were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Good Hotel in a Great Location
The hotel has a modern design and a very helpfull staff. The breakfast and food was great. A great location, you have all the turistic sites near.
The bed was very small.
Beautiful rooms, luxurious details, excellent location
Expensive internet connection
I stayed at the Hotel Brunelleschi about 15 years ago and remembered that the location was excellent because we could step out the door and be in the heart of Florence yet the hotel is tucked away in a quiet street. This time (Nov 2010) once again I was happy with the accomodations as the hotel has and is in the process of up-grading the rooms and the restaurant. Our room was fabulous and so up-dated we did not want to leave the room.
Since the hotel is maybe two buildings and an old jail tower it was somewhat confusing to find our way around, but that only lasted a day. But that also added to the charm of the old and the new.
I was a single traveller staying at the hotel Brunelleschi and the staff were outstanding in every way. The location just behind the Duomo has to be one of the best in Florence this hotel li eds up to one's expectations.
our room was in an older section of the hotel. there were quite a few stairs, i had to carry suitcases and a little weird having to take them through the breakfast room to get to reception to check out
The location was excellent - could not have been better located
We had a horrible room in the not yet renovated section of the hotel. It was old and looked like what you would expect for budget or 1 - 2 star at a much higher price. Our friends stayed at there in a renovated room that wAs the same price and the compare was like being in a completely different hotel. iF you stay make sure you get the new rooms.
The view from the room was exceptional.
Staff on reception were a little unfriendly, unlike the staff in the restaurant.
Excellent location, quiet, tasteful rooms
Number of stairs to room location (after lift)
Excellent location, staff polite and very coooperative.
When I checked into the room, the floor was in need of vacuuming, there were peanuts all over the floor. I told the front desk, who apologized and stated this would be taken care of immediately. Nothing was done to remedy this and The next day, I had to ask the cleaning person myself to vacuum my floor, after she had cleaned the room
Hotel staff were extremely helpful - particularly getting a taxi from the station in a downpour of biblical proportions. Rooms were lovely, big bathrooms, great breakfast etc
location was great, the hotel is a historical place.
Hotel Brunelleschi offers an astonishing location in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Set in a Byzantine tower that is part of a medieval church in the heart of famed Florence, Italy, it is a destination in its own right. Within the pedestrian area of the city, it is steps from Strozzi Palace, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio. It looks at the Belltower of Giotto and the Piazza del Duoma and is also just a short walk (less than ¼ of a mile) to the Piazza della Signoria, Bargello Museum and the Florence Baptistry. Close to the airport, the Santa Maria Novella Train Station and the Arno riverfront, it is a remarkable spot to stay.
A four-star hotel, it boasts an array of luxurious amenities and services, as well. These include business services and meeting rooms, a concierge desk, free Wi-Fi throughout, garage options, in-town limousine services, same day laundry and dry cleaning, pet-friendly policies and pet care services, airport transfers from any Tuscan airport, wine tastings, and two gourmet restaurants, among other services.
Rooms and suites are all deluxe accommodations, and most have been redesigned by architect Benelli. Most have remarkable views of the city’s most famous sites. All rooms feature unique furnishings and décor, luxury linens and bedding, work desks with ergonomic chairs, daily breakfast service, private baths with signature toiletries, satellite television, and 24-hour room service.
