The Queen Mary, once an ocean liner and now a hotel permanently docked in Long Beach Harbor, features a calendar of events that includes car shows, music festivals, and Halloween haunts each year.
Good Ship, Questionable CrewPros: Great historical environment and setting. Cons: Short-tempered, abrasive, and frankly disengaged staff. Shame they set the environment poorly.
Romantic weekendPros: A romantic setting for a weekend with my new husband! Loved the decor and views!Cons: I didn’t Realize I needed to request a room with a king bed. I was on my honeymoon and we got a room with 2 twin beds that were about 8 feet apart. Ditto with the ocean view
Trading on its former gloryPros: The price you agree is not what you pay. The self park is expensive as is the must take incidentals. The rooms are tired and need some TLC. The member of staff at reception was not helpful and appeared uninterested when I explained we had booked 2 Double rooms but had been given 2 singles instead, said was our booking agents fault even although I had paperwork indicating the opposite. We had an ok meal in the restaurant however we we're only half way through our starters when the main meals were plonked on our table. Definitely will not be back.Cons: Being ripped off
Pros: RoomCons: Gift so not open early enough. Princess Diana enemy closed on a Friday until 3pm.
Why not babe it open all day especially on a Friday
Ignored by management reguarding billing issuePros: Historic venueCons: Horrible room service, room cleaned poorly and management has ignored contact attempts
Interesting experiencePros: Fascinating history
Exploring the ship
View from my stateroom
Staff was very friendlyCons: Food was sub par
Head of bed was on a downhill slope due to curved deck design
Poor water pressure in shower
The Queen MaryPros: ViewCons: No shower caps provided.
Pros: History, touring the chip was fantasticCons: It was all fine a few shabby places, but we were thete for history. It was a little boring at night, a little load in morning deck work woke us up, but the vintage rooms a nd exploring ship was worth it to us. We really loved our experience!! Great history, we fell in love with the soul of the ship, though loeer decks were a little scary
It is the worst ever see Pros: Nothing worth talk about Cons: Worst hotel ever see in my life
Cons: facility charges..
Housekeeper was rudePros: I loved the historical value of staying on the ship.Cons: The housekeeper had not made up my room by 3pm. I called guest services to ask if the housekeeper was going to clean my room. She came right away. However, she was rude when I opened the door stating "did you want me to clean your room or not?" I told her I wouldn't have called had I not wanted my room cleaned. She was just nasty so I did not leave her a tip.
Cons: This placr is a over price hell holr
