Cons: "The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

Cons: "I wasn't allowed to reserve a seat - apparently they don't allow Kayak customers to reserve seats now. I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."

Pros: "The flight attendants are quick in services and with great manner. Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

The plane was completely full, and my husband and I had to sit in separate rows - I was never able to switch the seats, even though I called several times and tried at the airport as well. Entertainment selection not as good as the American flight out. The JAL website (English version at least) is not very easy to use."

Because I felt quite comfortable, I slept five hours straight during the flight which is phenomenal to me. I will definitely fly with JAL again!"

We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Pros: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

Cons: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Pros: "The crew was very polite and very helpful. Boarding process was smooth and easy, however, the Singapore airport has security checks at every gate prior to boarding. This meant that after clearing this security process at the gate, bathrooms were not available until after boarding the flight and drinking water stations were not easily found in the secure boarding area. The aircraft was comfortable, menus were distributed early so that meal options could be made with full information in advance. The food was good and made available at routine intervals."
Cons: "On a 14 hour flight, staying well hydrated is very critical and difficult. It would have been nice for the crew to make more frequent trips through the cabin to offer just water refills to keep passengers hydrated and reduce plastic cup usage."

Cons: "Plane condition: Cosmetic plastic panel below monitor and seat back pocket on Seat 31E fell off when foot rest was lowered; had previously been secured by adhesive tape. Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."

Pros: "Delayed flight from Shanghai due to air traffic issues, so I had a 10 minute window to make my connection in Singapore. Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail."

In Hong kong, I was told the designated smoking area in the terminal was close and the steward encouraged me to go...I almost missed the flight even though I didn't even make it to where she directed me. It was not close, she was a liar. They lost my bags. They kept calling me sir despite my corrections and obvious female anatomy. They had no remorse or apologies for their errors"

I was placed in the back row all the way to my destination and all the way home. I vomited 8 times and felt very sick. I did notice that there were many seats available in the front of the plane but they are never given out as women with babies and children always get them and then single travellers like myself are made sit in the back. I travel a lot, I usually fly Qantas and they are very good at providing seats closer to the front. I will be reluctant to fly Singapore Airlines again due to the fact that they were not accommodating at all."

Pros: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

All of which were full flights. They did not provide food vouchers or hotel vouchers. We were told to leave the airport and come back tomorrow with no solution. We had to rush the office and force them to get us on on other airlines to finally get home. If that didn't happen we would have been stuck in the airport for 5 days."

If, like me, you like to be near a window or at least be able to sneak a peek out of someone else's this spot isn't good. There isn't a convenient window anywhere near."

Cons: "My son & I traveled together on a trip from Manila to USA in Taipei. We had a 3 hour transit time, and waited by the gate of the flight from Taipei to USA. To exercise, I left the gate and walked around the terminal. Coming back to the gate, I could not enter because the ground stewardess blocked the entrance to the gate. I had to wait for 30 minutes until I finally was able to sneak thru the rope barrier that was placed there after the stewardess left. Then when I was confronted again, I explained my situation and this time she let me through to join my son, who was at the gate all this time."

Most of the bathrooms were leaking water on the floor the bathrooms in both economy class and executive classes. It was gross and made it hard for the bathrooms to remain clean during the flight with so many people on board. There were paper towels on the floor constantly from people trying to clean up the water on the floor. The inflight entertainment was poor at best. The movies were mostly old, and limited for english speaking on a 13 hour flight. My kosher meal was mostly frozen, every time I was given a meal, the drink, the bread the cake the bean salad, all frozen. The only part that wasn't icy was the part the crew heated up for me."

The crew was very friendly and allowed us to sleep most of the flight --- I guess they figured that most of the travelers prefer to just sleep and not be disturbed during a 15-hour flight. There was a good selection of movies and shows to watch to pass the time. I liked that there was time to go on the city tour of Doha and that there is a counter at the airport for the city tour."

Cons: "Not enough food was served for a 16.5 hour flight."

Cons: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Pros: "Cabin crew were excellent, very nice and accomodating"
Cons: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

Pros: "The food was amazing and so were the staff, would definitely fly Qatar again and recommend it to others!"
Cons: "The layover is very short, my first flight from LAX to Doha was 40 mins late so I barely made last call from Doha to Dubai and my bags didn't make it. I did however have my luggage delivered the next day to where I was staying in Al Ain for free so that was great!"

Pros: "Overall - Flight was good."
Cons: "Food quality should be improved. Most of the staff were very courteous, except on two minor request. I guess the stewardess was a little stress due a very demanding passenger, but should not be reflected to other customers."

Pros: "Qatar airways always seems to handle busy flights and crammed seats calmly, efficiently and on time. It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!"

Pros: "Friendly crew Good choice of food and beverage"
Cons: "Aircraft changed without notice Trapped in cramped window seat No storage bins IFE strobing windows tabs and would not switch off Useless design of chair lead to loss and destruction of my Kindle"

Pros: "I liked the food and the entertainment ."
Cons: "My seat was broken so I sat up right for 16 hours. To top it off I needed to use the toilet REALLY bad but was denied even though we were SITTING on the runway for 20 mins. When I FINALLY get to use the toilet, after a smaller Asian girl and a taller Indian girl were getting bags of blankets out of, I leave a WOODEN CLIPBOARD full of VERY important papers that will cost me inside. Yet when I call to retrieve them they are "nowhere to be found" so you're telling me out of those 2 women, the Indian gentleman, the black woman & the other Asian woman back there didn't notice a clipboard when I was the only person back there trying to use the toilet or they simply threw a wooden and metal clipboard away ?? With what was clearly paperwork clipped onto it ? The girl at the service desk of Qatar airways claims to have looked herself. But she was rushing me off of the phone so I don't feel like she remotely cared even a little. I am PAST unhappy. So thank you for throwing my paperwork away I know for sure was left behind. Very thorough team."

Pros: "bathrooms had liquid on the floor sloshing around from about 1 hr after take off. Flight attendants need a disposable towel to put down. Nasty bathroom are not pleasant."
Cons: "i was blessed with 3 seats in a row. Had trouble lying down because the arm rests don't go up all the way. The seat belt connectors were not recessed, so they poked me in the side. The movie selection was only so - so. See the selection from Singapore airlines if you want to see a good example. I have many food allergies - for the sweet & savory snacks, the ingredients are in Latin - like a place holder ready for when they get the real words to put there. e.g. dolorem ipsum ..."

Pros: "***You're asking me about a flight that hasn't happened yet. I'm rating my flight FROM LOS ANGELES TO DOHA, 10/23/2016, here: Flight attendants were very good, helpful, gracious. For a long flight the restrooms stayed clean."
Cons: "The food was over cooked, and lacked freshness. I had to have the same meal twice because they ran out of the omelettes. Next time I will try Emirates."

Cons: "It was not at all a smooth travel experience. The original flight was from Mumbai to Doha to Los Angeles. After reaching Doha they said the flight is full !! They made me travel via Boston where it was so much hazzel to catch the next connecting flight. My bags did not come in the same flight. Next day I had to go to the airport again to bring them. I did not had anything to wear, I had to purchase basic stuff. It was a very inconvinient travel. I want compensation from Kayak as you guys confirmed my booking and I come to know at the Doha airport the flight is full. HOw did you issue me a ticket??"

Pros: "I really liked the service and demeanor of the crew and staff members."
Cons: "I didn't like the handling of an unexpected delay. It seemed to take an hour longer to handle the change over from one plane to another. The staff seemed rather unprepared for how to resolve the issue smoothly and seamlessly. Training in handling unexpected events might be a good way to overcome this."

Pros: "Brand new plane, everything clean and working, crew friendly, smooth flight"
