This family-friendly Taipa hotel is located near the airport, within a 10-minute walk of Mandarin's House and Macau Olympic Complex. Cotai Strip is 1.2 mi (1.9 km) away.
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price relative to other hotels in the area.Cons: Casino was very small and mainly had only baccarat tables. No alcohol sold in the casino. I;m not familiar with Macau casinos, but compared to casinos in the USA, that was strange.
False advertising Pros: The place is extremely clean to be a dated and aged hotel Cons: The gym was a joke. You actually have to follow a tiny hallway walk outside past the pool down a set of stairs to see a universal machine, old school bike that uses a fan (shaking my head) and tiny cheap treadmill. My personal scenic view was to several old residential apartment buildings that resemble projects. The bed wasn't just firm; it felt like a futon mattress (even though it was thick). My buddies rooms were similar. My best friend upgraded to a suite and for the extra 40 bucks a night, his room had a living room with a 1970's couch and an extra restroom. Upon checking out, the front desk made me stay an extra 10 minutes while they inspected my room for damage and if I consumed products from the bar. Needless to say that I didn't enjoy my stay. I booked this place based off of stars for quality and the photos which gave it the appeal.
BTW: You're no where near walking to the new casinos on either side of the river. You'll have to take a cab.
