The room was excellent and very comfortable. However I found the pillows were too soft - apart from that I like everything else about the room. Breakfast was not included in the room price and I thought the breakfast was overpriced. We eat breakfast close by on the Southbank rather than at the hotel and found it to be much cheaper. Also the quality of where we ate our breakfast was very good.
Comfortable bed, light excluding curtains, very useful small kitchen area, good bathroom. Staff courteous. Awful view from bedroom window, sitting area of room very dark. Not enough staff on reception for booking in felt rather like a queue waiting for tickets. Housekeeping took 30 mins to respond to request .
Very helpful staff.Very clean. Perfect location for quick wkend trip.
New, well appointed, comfortable, convenient. Price of a room almost doubled in less than a month. Would only stay there again at the price I paid in May; 125gbp vs 225gbp a night.
locations Cleanliness of my room
The studio room was superb and also the view from the room. The location is perfect. The staff at check in. There was litter in the room.
Room was amazing - roomy, well equipped, decor fantastic, beds comfortable, shower cubicle in bathroom makes such a difference - staff very helpful - wow factor as you enter the hotel and again when you enter your room - even the lifts deserve a mention When I booked the room the website said "upgrade, if available and free bottle of wine if booked before 21 May" also bottled water was included in my booking. No bottled water was made available until I asked, after I pointed it out from my booking confirmation, and then I got 1 bottle with 1 glass - it was so much hassle that I just brought my own bottled water in (and when I checked out I was charged for the bottle of water I had from the hotel). The free bottle of wine did not happen - when I asked at reception about the room upgrade and free bottle of wine I was told that we had an upgrade but there was no reference to a bottle of wine (unfortunately the booking confirmation did not mention upgrade or bottle of wine!!!!!!)
very clean, well positioned ,clearly very new and up to the minute in terms of facilities Staff at desk not able to deal with simple requests had to be dealt with through guest services and initially would not even dial the appropriate extension for us.
Excellent location friendly staff
Excellent concieage. Beautiful location. Beautiful Hotel. Front desk hard to find. Electrical problems in first room. Water leak in second room with fixtures in the bathroom not properly installed. 1st room had bathrobes 2nd did not. Room service / service in general was extremely slow. Checkout was a nightmare and we almost missed our flight.
Staff was really friendly and ready to help.
This is the best location in London, steps from Covent Garden, an easy walk across the Waterloo Bridge, convenient to theaters. Thanks to recent renovations, rooms are contemporary and comfortable; staff is friendly and helpful. I have been staying here off and on for more than 25 years! The food continues to be marginal at best, and not a good value for the money. Fortunately, there are many good and reasonably-priced restaurants nearby.
Very central location, good value for money
The room was just big enough and was practical. The bathroom was excellent. TV was provided. I would like to be able to make more than 2 cups of tea or coffee! I take sugar and that was in limited supply.
location was excellent The room should be renewed as soon as possible. They sold the London of map. It should be free of charge.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, nice clean rooms.
the hotel is so close to the theatres on the Strand and Covent Garden, it makes it so convenient. There was nothing I didn't like but thought the £8 charge for an ice bucket from room service was a bit steep!
Service was excellent, especially Francesco who made us welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. The hotel was extremely clean and very close to the metro station and Trafalgar Square Room was on the small side.
I liked the location, and the clean, bright room that had good bathroom space and a reasonable work surface. Similarly priced rooms in London are often very cramped and/or quite worn down. a really nice (and necessary, in our case) feature of the room is the sliding solid wood shutters that completely seal off outside light. This was my third or fourth stay at the sph. The weatherstripping around the windows was completely shot and ineffective, so if we had the shutters open, a powerful draft whipped through the room. There was a cold snap in London at the time, so the result was that we couldn't open the shutters and curtains to enjoy daylight. Also, as our room was over The Strand, it was very noisy at night. However, I would definitely stay again
Everything was perfect
Location is good Size of the room, the bed and the badthroom is too small, (very small).
A nice complimentary breakfast the following day. We booked a table for 4 in the hotel's Italian restaurant for Saturday 27/11/10 at 5pm in order for us to attend a show. When we were ready to eat we were told that we didn't have a reservation as this restaurant did not open on a Saturday night. We were however placed in your Japanese restaurant without too much bother. Better communication with guests would be better.
The hotel is in a good spot, next to oxford street. breakfast was an extra £9.95 each per day.
location choice of food in restaurant
We went on a weekend away because he had tickets to see Harry Potter and the cursed child, which the hotel was a short five minute walk away which was great for me and my friend to get there as it was over 2 nights. However we were never informed that there was to be building works happening throughout February. This resulted in there being no room for a reception desk and little to do in the hotel as everything was cordened off. As for the rooms, they were small and dated, they also didn't have much of a blind for the windows. As there has been a neon lit build finished across the street from the hotel, the room was lit up all night. To add to this there was a false fire alarm at 4am in the morning which no one came to inform us about but we could barely hear it from our room. The shower cubicle was really small with a really powerful shower that wasn't pleasant and to top everything we had a cockroach crawl into our room just before our departure that resided under our bed. All in all multiple things went wrong with our stay and I wouldn't recommend.
Very over priced
Access to tube trains This hotel is not a star hotel. Rooms are very small
Concierge people are very nice. Single room has no place for luggage
Location. Location. Helpful and pleasant staff. Cold room in morning. Too few lifts. Lack of TV channels.
very central fantastic location.
location was fantastic no
Hotel was in a nice location between the Southwark and Blackfriars tube station, about 5 minute walk to either one. Room was modern and decently spacious. Loud banging noise like hammers from the floor below that woke us up at 8 am and continued for more than 30 minutes. We called down to reception, and physically went to tell the front desk. They were doing renovations! Not acceptable!!
Location was great, very nice atmosphere I found cockroach in the restroom

Hotel is very nice inside and out. Rooms are great, shower and bathrooms are in excellent condition, gym is excellent. About a 5 minute walk to the metro, great view of the bridges and river from room or outside hotel. Pricey meals
The skin care products. In the bathroom there's a hairdrayer but no suitable plug. And you get no indoor shoes. The floor in the bathroom feels cold.
This is an amazing high class hotel. You cannot ask for a better location. No rowdy/loud guests, very professional staff, superb buffet style breakfast, and modern facility. Beds are super comfortable, rooms are very quiet with blackout curtains. The only complaint I have are the rooms were small. We stayed for a week, and the space suited us fine. I was just expecting something a little bigger.

Beautifully furnished. Amazing service and food. The location was a bit tough to get to the Tube. I ended up taking a black cab to quite a few attractions.
Good location Poor front desk functioning, lack of communication between the team. Did not care about the guests request. Attempted to smooth the situation over by offering freebies, does not solve the problem.
Decent location, a little walk to Blackfriars, plenty of bus stops around, nice riverside walk. Modern and clean. The room was quiet, didn't really hear any other guests or outside noise. (Were were opposite the river so that may have helped) Room is a little small but that's to be expected.

I had a room in 5th floor (516). Bad water pressure...
The location was convenient for the tube and it was a fairly quiet street.
it was a nice hotel but room 002 was ground level and noisy the noise from the road and the heat in the room
The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.
Location is great as merto station was only 5 minutes walk and bus station even closer. Staff was very helpful and the street where hotel was located was quiet at night. Hotel is in very nice historical building (at least it looked so). My hotel room was very cold, but so were all other public places we visited - be prepared. We had breakfast included in reservation, so having to pay additional amount for cooked breakfast was also a surprise we didn't expect, as continental breakfast was rather poor choice for room price. Rooms are a bit run down, mine had closet with no doors that oviously were there before. But we survived and enjoyed our stay :)
The room was large, clean and nicely furnished. The restaurant was small and friendly. Food was delicious. So good I didn't have room for a desert much to my disappointment!
Proximity to tube stations, warm, comfortable & Quiet, good breakfast & evening meal, near Hyde Park & lots of taxis available. Small rooms, I would have liked to make tea in a teapot & a jug of milk with my breakfast. No food available between 10am & 530pm ie On arrival & departure.
The helpfulness of the hotel's staff and it's convenient location. The room was small but reasonable for the price I paid.
Allocated to a smokers room. Pillows smelt of smoke. No control over very noisy and inebriated guests arriving at 0200 hours and later!
the breakfast! well worth the extra money. the constant noise of the tube in the room the only respite was from 12pm to 6am.
The welcome was lovely, the atmosphere calm and the staff knowledgable. The suite was clean, comfortable and well presented. All in all, a hotel I would recommend. There is only one lift and it can be a little slow to arrive
Club room ,Location and the staff was wonderfull,, Nothing really ..
Situated in the middle of London, yet absolutely quiet. Excellent service and facilities. Just a small detail: We didn't get the TV in our bathroom to work.
Althoug the room size was a bit small, it has modern accommodation, functional, clean and the hotel is very well located, close to the Marble Arch. The bathroom is high standard with TV set, large bath tube and other minor things. The room location in the basement for long stay is a bit depressing. I was not expecting this when booked a "superior double room." Moreover, as a Brazilian visitor, I suggest that the available Brazilian TV channel should be changed for a better standard because the one available was a network of an evangelical church of low ratings and deplorable programming. It could be replaced for a GloboNews, BandNews or, at worst, a Globo TV broadcast.
Interior design, modern, location My double room was a bit tight
Well kept and nice environment Hopeless service of refreshments in lounge, no service of wifi and utter neglect when this was brought to the attention of staff
The room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The front of house staff seemed disorganised, we checked in at 10am and left bags, got a call at 12.30pm asking when we would be arriving and had to explain had checked in and paid!!! Were advised that bags would then be in room when we returned, however, when we did get back only one of two bags was there. After calling reception eventually went down to find bag was still in the lobby not even locked away. Bar was not open due to staff being late and would have expected this to have been open all day for a 5 star hotel. Alll in all the front of house staff, with the exception of the doorman who was excellent, were definately not up to the standard of a 5 star property
The proximity to Oxford Street and the West End The room and bed where surprisingly small for 2 grown ups with luggage. We didnt really have any space for our luggage or what we shopped. Needed to place shoes in bathroom.
I was due to meet my mother at the hotel, she arrived 30 minutes before me and was made to pay the full amount for the stay, even though she repeatedly informed them I was paying and they had my card details. After locating my room i was in a state of shock as to its cramped size and airless atmosphere (5* with 5* prices!). i then went back down to reception to find out the location of the pool and gym also to request a hotel information booklet and directory and a room service menu, (This never materialised durinng our stay. I was informed that the pool/spa/gym was not open yet as the hotel was still being built. Also the main restaurant was not open yet but we could eat in the bar if we wanted.
Excellent, friendly ervice Nothing major
Great location on Kensington High Street. Pleasant view from room. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Location And the room Gym can be better.
The location to the Albert Hall. We were not pre-warned that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment and therefore noise levels were very high.
Great Location and great views of Kensington Palace, staff that spoke english were good. Room was small, price was high for room and some staff very poor.
Friendly and helpful staff, good rooms and service level. Noisy street - room facing the road, not flexible check in/out hours despite that I informed the reception about early arrival and departure in advance.
Location was perfect. The hotel staff recommended some excellent restaurants and were extremely helpful.
The location was excellent and the staff were great ambassadors for the hotel from reception through to housekeeping
the Tenth floor bar/restaurant is superb and has fantastic views throughout the day. the staff were fabulous the room was a bit dated and worn but still very nice.
The room was comfortable and spacious, whilst the staff were vwery attentive.
Excellent staff and good room for London
I liked the fact that it is located beside the Hyde Park which gives a nice view from your room and makes it easy to take a walk there and enjoy the fresh air. Didnt like the GYM.
Very helpful staff.
the breakfast was really fantastic. the location as well The mini bar count automatically when you take any thing even if you return it back to its place. (like many other Hilton's). and because I have children, I always asked for the mini bar to be empty. However, in this Hotel, they asked me to pay 25 Pound to have this done. So, wither you guard the fridge from your children, or , you have to pay 25 pound. It is really silly policy from the Hotel manager.
Location was excellant for shopping walking distance to Oxford Street and right next to subway if you needed to get around London
Shower was broken when we got into room, though they did send someone rather quickly to get it fixed. Also bar was understaffed and had long wait times.
booking online and when we got there they had no records of me booking a room which my wife got a bit upset about because it took a while for us to get a room
Very close to 3 Underground stations.
The Hotel is well located, close to the underground (important in London), the staff is wellcoming and friendly.Rooms are ok, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is poor, and cheap... needs to be improved..
Special deal from your website so really great value for money
the room was quite the size I like and the bed was wonderful. i also liked that there was bath in the room, not just the shower nothing
Handiness for Tube and West End Alas, a leak appeared in ceiling - water pouring in, so had to be moved; free breakfast afforded + 15% discount, but hassle at the time
We had all the facilities we needed and it was clean and fresh Nothing
Location of the hotel is very good and near to oxford street , 5 min walking. distance If you need any thing in your room it takes too long , and sometimes they forgot.
very friendly staff, great bar and good food
Excellent location, nice hotel, but not top rate. Room service breakfast was a bit poor considering price, small details missing for a hi calibre place.
Attention and concern of staff is excellent, especially Anna breakfast hostess in Amba room. Serving staff uneven although Nadia v nice and accommodating too. Hotel overwhelmed by the world travel convention, on all fronts that kind of capacity is hard for the whole 'factory' that is the hotel to function. Eelevators slow, rooms seem tired, and what seemed appropriate three years ago now seems tired and yes, a little rundown.
Nice room, excellent service, quality casino.
Excellent staff. Very helpful concierge. A hopping, "in" place.
The Hotel was well located and the rooms were modern with all amenities.
Center location Rooms must be ready much before 2 pm.
the position of the hotel and not much else not much other than some of the staff. Having stayed at the Helmsley Park Lane I just could not compare the two establishments,
Please write at least 15 words
Well we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Mayfair and the staff could do more for us. We come back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolates, such a great supprize for both myself and the wife. Would we stay again definitely 100%.
Location. deluxe room spacious and well appointed. Too noisy. impossible to sleep well.
location near paddington station, easy access to transportation, and walking distance from oxford street. very little fresh air in the room.the room was so small that you do not want to spend any time apart from sleeping in the room.
The good location just withen walking distance from paddington station and the free internet Just like every other hotel in london the room size and the bathroom size is unbeleivably small even that I stayed in a suit ( as they told me it was ) but the suit size was just too small that it makes you either cry or laugh !! it was a tiny room that shoudnt be called a suit !!
have a good location and staff more helpful
location is good building is old and smells ,room was ok .
Location is the only acceptable aspect of this hotel Understaffed. Poor room design.
Rooms are quite small but you do benefit from the availability of a microwave and fridge so great if you dont fancy going out to eat all alone
The proximity to Hide Park and Lancaster gate station was a plus, the neighborhood was also quite ok. The room was extremely tight (this was supposed to be a suite). It was so small that I had to take turns with my wife to move around the room.
The location was perfect The room was very small, breakfast was disorganised.
Staff were nice and cooperative Rooms were very small for the price. Toilets did not have shower cubicles so the water was all on the floor fro the shower
Great value for money, just a short walk from Paddington Station Basement room was a little noisy in the morning.
Location is perfect !
Reception staff were really good, consierge was equally as good. Nice welcome, and fire in lobby. A lady in the restaurant for breakfast was very good, I think her name was Pam. Breakfast was really not great, firstly the lady who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee and toast, then none arrived had to ask again for it, same with ordering some porridge it came 15 minutes later, but was like gruel, quite surprised that a 5 star hotel kitchen can't make porridge. Overall a little bit too structured and formal, but lacked professionalism in the restaurant.
Comfortable room, so close to all the attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The electric curtains were a 11 yr olds idea of luxury!
Peaceful room and comfortable beds. Harp being played as we arrived. Good location. We were needing a relaxing night before travelling to Lyon through the French rail strikes and we awoke refreshed and content. Thanks! Decor a bit over ornate in places. (Ribbons over pictures etc). Not much in fridge except someones left over lunch. Quite a surprise!
Everyone is polite and not overbearing. The room although we felt is was quite small it was peaceful and very clean. The only point was a dirty wet cloth left on the wardrobe shelve which was a little unpleasant,
rooms spacious and very clean. staff very helpful and friendly. well situated for site seeing and close commuting facilities to explore the rest of london. no spa facilities that i was made aware of.
good location, good service
The location was excellent. The room and bathroom were very nice.
The service was outstanding and good position in the city. I recommend this hotel to everybody.
The welcome and service of all the staff. Everyone especially the Hungarian gentleman bent over backwards to make an extra effort every single time I approached them. More likely they approached me quicker, to help with my pushchair and baby. They were polite and fantastic. Your real asset!! The towels had an awful smell (I have a sensitive nose). My room was no 847. When I enetered the room I could smell the pigeons in fact I looked at the window sill and sure enough there was pigeon poo - and the windows hadn't been cleaned in some time? There was no child quilt / blanket provided with the cot (and, although the cot was provided, I had to ask for this to be made). The staff could be taught level one english.
It would be a good 4 star hotel. good heating and hot showers. food was barely edible, always stale. reception service is appalling. In desperate need of refurbishment, old TVs, design. It was just a bed and a bathroom, not a 5 star hotel.
The room was fantastic with view over the Thames, Bed very good and quite and the Hotel is tucked out of the way but in easy access to all of London We did not get a warm welcome at reception, They tried to put us in 2 single beds when I had booked river view doudle. They would not take my word so I had to go back to the car to get our booking. It is also hard to get a cab from this hotel.
Great value for money. Good sized room. Breakfast was really tasty. There have been negative reviews about this hotel, please ignore.
Staff were very helpful. Nice clean looking lobby. Good fire escape facilities. At check-in were trying to charge us for an extra baby cod (child < 2yrs) while in the initial advertisement baby cods were free of charge. After a short but crisp discussion showing them booking info on paper printed from the site, staff finally admitted the cod was indeed free of charge. Phone charges for local calls are ridiculously expensive, real robbery. Looking at the quality of the rooms, the general service facilities and costs, and comparing with other hotels, a 4-star classification is overrated.
public areas look really well, staff very good and very convenient location I perbooked internet access but it did not work satisfactorily. When I reported it a new connection was brought up fairly quickly but I had been very inconvenienced overnight and in checking in online in time and on checkout the front desk staff did not appear able to handle a request that some deduction to the 24 hour rate be made.
The location was terrific, service was good, hotel clean, room (including air conditioning) was very comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was easy access to buses and the underground. No
This hotel is the quietest in london
It was good returning to a hotel we knew where the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always smiling and extremely helpful.
Dinner was excellent
Handy for the Albert Hall and Kensington shopping
What I liked about this hotel was the close vicinity to Kensington gardens and the underground station we stayed at this hotel two times this trip, The first saty we checked in early, the only room available was at the mezzanine. though it was a non smoke room, the room smelled badly and the outlets for the laptop were hidden behind the refrigerator. The second time we upgraded to a better more expensive room , which was nicer but also showed some bad points, the exterior windows seals were partly gone, and the airconditioning which looked ancient was noisy. Overall my impression was that this was once a great hotel for its day but today is in dire need of maintenance and repairs. Also the exterior looks very dirty. The prices are very high compared to the room you get. Overall I don't think I would make use of this hotel again.
parking room cleanliness
Bar was nice Room was small and underwhelming consider g how much we paid.
We loved the look of the place and everyone was so professional and friendly. We had a wonderful Christmas brunch and had fun going in the spa pool. We had a drink in the bar. I'd highly recommend it. It's just beautiful there.
Architecture and Services are Excellent. Food is great. Staff is A+. Elevators need a tune up. Bathrooms are slippery.
The hotel is in a very convenient location and the tube station within walking distance. The theatre district is within 5 minutes, Soho and Leicester Square are within 10 minutes walk. The hotel has a nice bar. The hotel is a converted insurance company
Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean, well organized, big and comfortable halls, good security, good food, and excellent service. Limited television satellite news channels (no CNN), limited television capabilities or a little bit difficult to find channels especially when one press button number 1. It doesn't recognize the difference between 1 and 11. Also it wasn't easy to find local BBC channels. No channel paper list in the room .
the room was very clean and the tea garden is impressive the decoration of the rooms are very old also no cattle in the room , tv also very old style
Room lovely not easy to use safe in room
A beautiful hotel with a lovely atrium, we were offerred an upgrade when we arrived to a larger executive room. It was lovely with a views over the atrium and restaurant. It would have been nice to have had a window open for some fresh air..the double french doors were both locked. We did have difficulty with no hot water in the evening but this was dealt with very promptly and to our great satisfaction,
Location, cleanliness Hard bed, unfriendly staff
The servIce from the staff is among the best I have experienced!
Ease of getting in to central london via LUL slow service
the rooms was large and comfort
The Executive room was fabulous, very spacious and large. No
good and nice concierge, quite charming atmosphere overall stains on the linen
rooms, lobby location from center
This was a very charming hotel. The location was wonderful - only a few blocks from an Underground station and Hyde Park. The staff was great - very helpful and friendly. The concierge helped with getting tickets to museums and other attractions as well as trains, which saved a great deal of time not waiting in long lines. We took advantage of the breakfast service. The food was good with lots of options. The waitstaff was very attentive. We did not have to wait long for assistance. The maid staff was fine as well and also very friendly. On several occasions, we had to call the front desk to request additional towels and they arrived within minutes. The Rembrandt is an older hotel with some of the issues associated with that. For example, the "switch" that controlled power to the room would "break" if the bathroom door was closed to hard in our room or a neighboring room. This could be easily fixed by tapping on the control panel. The room had a small table and desk, so there was no room for a wardrobe. It was a little difficult living out of a suitcase for two weeks. It would have been smarter to remove the desk and substitute some drawers for clothing.
The Hotel staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and very very helpful. They always remember me from my previous stay. The disabled facilties are not upto dda standards. The ramp to the reception is unsafe, too steep and not legal!! You must get the electric wheelchair lift repaired and make sure that it can operated by the wheelchair user from the pavement. either that place a bell outside so that the attention of the reception staff can be alerted. I would recommend this hotel to able bodied persons, but not to wheelchair users.
room was quite spacious and location quite central food was not very good byt fair for England
The very good location of the hotel and helpful staff, also good heating. The toilet in the bathroom didn't work too well and no extractor for the steam in bathroom.
The Rembrandt is in a great location not far from the many sights of London. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and a spa bath! It was excelent.
its central position to Kingsbridge and shopping Water in bath and shower not hot enough at any time
The location of the hotel - central, being within walking distance of Knightsbridge tube station, yet quiet enough to get an undisturbed nights sleep! Vey clean hotel, providing a very good breakfast.
Pool Paper thin walls, constant slamming of doors in the hallway!
Service was outstanding. They provided extra towels and outlet adapter when asked. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great place to use for our home base for our anniversary getaway to London. Centrally located downtown. Close to the tube. Full English breakfast was included in our reservation but I was informed that not every reservation qualified for the "full" breakfast and instead they received a continental breakfast. Limited menu in hotel restaurant.
Very friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, well positioned for C London.
Our room was on the small side.
Well designed room; very complete; lots of nice touches. Heated towel rack; jacuzzie tub; upscale furnishings; even has a couple of 110/115 outlets. Location cannot be beat; just down from Harrods and up from South Kensington Underground station two stops away from Victoria Station and 4 stops away from Westminster Station. The BigBus "hop on hop off" number 36 is just out front and the narrated tour the bus provides last right at 3.5 hours with city traffic and goes to every single place of interest. Tour bus pricing varies based on package deal but around $30 per person. The staff of the hotel always exceeds expectation; Neal, the head concierge; is full of insights for the area; found us a large private van to Heathrow for $65. We had 4 big bags from a twoo week Cruise, so the large Mercedes was excellent. The hotel and its ammenities are moderately pricied if not leaning a little toward expensive, as in breakfast; but in tota,l worth the money especially if on vacation. A superior experience; will stay here again when visiting London for sure.
