The Bellevue is a gorgeous hotel, with a friendly, helpful staff who really made my wife and me feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure that we had a special anniversary experience. The bar at XIX on the top floor of the hotel was exquisite, with a fantastic drinks menu and spectacular views of the city. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.
Temperature of the room was difficult to regulate. Sheets were not comfortable.
We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel as it wasn’t included in our room. It was an additional $25 a person which is ridiculous when you already over pay for the room.
The price of the room was ridiculous considering the location, you had to pay to park every night and the people in the hotel were rude and snobby.
It is in a good location for an event I was attending.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:45 in the afternoon, well after check-in time. We had a black tie event at 5:00 and expected to shower, change and enjoy a drink and the view from the bar on the top floor before our event. However, our room wasn’t ready and we were told to wait about 5 minutes. After a half hour, we were getting very frustrated and worried that we would be late for our event. Finally, we were shown to a temporary room to change, then we had to repack and move rooms. In the end, we were rushed, unshowered, and late for our event. What made this experience unacceptable, however, was that the hotel made NO gesture of compensation for our inconvenience, such as a drink or breakfast voucher. My husband stays in hotels about 100 nights each year and he had been thinking of switching his main loyalty program from Hilton to Hyatt. After our stay at the Bellvue, that is out of the question.
Bar and restaurant are super friendly. Ened is super.
