The staff were so friendly and always willing to assist with anything. Didn’t have an adapter to charge my phone so the guy at the front desk lended me his for the duration of my stay.
Perhaps just the fact that the walls were a bit too thin.
The rooms had heaters and while it was away from the main centre, it was still nearby and provided a great place to rest and keep warm through the winter nights. The beautiful cottage feel was awesome!
Breakfast is ok but mostly cold foods like cheese, salami and ham slices, and desserts. Otherwise it’s okay especially if you don’t mind toast and cakes.
Wonderful hospitality, delightful breakfast, a short walk from town in lovely neighborhood. Five stars, highly recommend!
Breakfast was really good and the staff was extremely helpfull. To mention one name: Nerio.
We liked everything
The guy at the front desk was friendly, tried his best to be helpful and offered "1000 sorries" when I complained about all the noise in the room. The breakfast was ok.
Even by Puerto Varas' abysmal and overpriced standards this place stood out as being both especially abysmal and overpriced. It looks and feels kind of like a 1970s flop hotel on the side of a highway but costs as much as better options in the center (which are still mediocre and overpriced because this is Puerto Varas, but much better anyway). We paid just under 70 USD/night. It would have met my expectations if it had cost a third that much. Concrete issues: 1) It's extremely noisy in the rooms, and anything going on in adjacent rooms or the hallways sounds as if it's happening in your room. Some things we heard between midnight and 9:00 a.m. each night: Neighbors talking, watching tv, going to the bathroom, squeaking beds, dogs barking outside the window, children screaming and laughing in the hallways. The neighbors above seemed to be moving furniture or something all day and all night, but maybe they were just passionately making love and the bed was moving all around the floor from that. I wore earplugs, which helped but still didn't keep all the noise out because that's how loud it is. 2) They don't have fitted sheets and instead wrap two unfitted sheets around the bed. 3) They don't, however, provide a sheet under the woolen blanket they provide, although when I asked they led me to the laundry room and gave me not one, but two extra sheets. That was nice. 4) The drain insert in the shower was at an angle with a sharp corner sticking up, so you have to be careful not to step on that. 5) There's no toilet brush in the bathroom.
