The front desk receptionist was an absolute gem. They even have free shuttles there and I was driven to a downtown location to go catch up with a friend—they even offered to pick me back up if I got done by 9pm! The location is prime and easily accessible to downtown. You also get to use the Spokane club gym for free during hour stay! They give you 2 free mini water bottles and free coffee in your room.
The rooms are very old and seemed more like a motel which was very surprising to me. I was pretty disappointed with the aesthetics of the room were...”ancient” to put it politely or maybe “historic.” The antiquated furniture, curtains and sheets were unappealing to me and made me feel kind of dirty. In addition, it didn’t seem like the housekeepers did a very good job cleaning up and restocking as I only had a little bit of toilet paper in my bathroom. The bathroom was super tiny with a small mirror and creaky drawers.
the staff was very friendly, the dining room and bar were very nice. food was great and we thought prices were very reasonable. the architecture was very nice and appeared well kept
the web site said shuttle service was available. i called before we started our trip and was told to call from the airport after getting our luggage and we would be told were to meet the shuttle, when we called we were told no shuttle but would be happy to give us the taxi phone number also the shuttle only took people to the air port, very poor communications.when we requested a shuttle to the air port we were then told it only goes after 3pm, does any one there really know the policy or is there a policy? also had to request two times for a light bulb, shower handle and sink faucet to be repaired.
Had my daughters wedding and reception at your facility and it went fantastic. Thank you for your great service and the staff was amazing-- again thank you
The location is excellent--walking distance to downtown and a beautiful River walk close by. Even the church I attend was right across the street--and you can hear the bells which are lovely.
The tv was small - 32". The room needed more outlets for tech stuff. The pool needs to be repainted.
The public areas are elegant and beautiful. The lobby is drop dead gorgeous. The staff is excellent. The food is excellent. This is an old property, built in 1910. As such all the spaces are smaller than we expect in 2019. The guest rooms are small. They are also a bit shabby. The closet is big. The bath is very clean and fully tiled. It has a security closet for valuables. And there is an athletic club that is part of the property, so those wanting to stay mobile have some good options
The bed was awful—very hard and curved to throw you out of bed. We felt like we were hanging on to stay in bed. And they still use actual bead spreads, so hygiene is questionable. Rooms with a dresser have an arm chair. Rooms with a desk have a desk chair. Either is the only place other than the bed to sit. The free WiFi is useless as most web browsing is blocked as “violating terms of access” which were never presented for users to read. We could not get food or wine websites to come up. Even our bar server said she could not access retail pages from the property WiFi.
