6.0 Good
Pros: The PUBLIC onsen with the Mont Fuji view is nice! The Japanese room is comfortable and beautiful!
Cons: The welcome (in front of my family) has been bad, especially regarding the cost: - No smile and O flexibility - Unable to explain what you could visit around except shopping places - Many questions and interruption during the family dinner - Extra cost expensive to privatize the onsen on the roof. -Etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, nicest view from room, warmest staff ever, best services, delicious meal, relaxing hot spring, too good to be true! Definitely worth giving 10/10. Really hope to stay there again!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It was an unbelievable experience!
Cons: Nothing at all!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service from front desk and crew from other services. They were meticulous and paid attention to details, as expected from a premium hotel. The most spectacular view of Mount Fuji one can get from room and outdoor onsen. We woke up to the sight of Mount Fuji.
Cons: It was a little overpriced over the period I was there. At this price, I have paid for rooms with private onsen in other parts of Japan. But I understand it's mostly the same for this area with the scenery.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with view of Mt Fuji from our room. However, view was not that great because Fuji was mostly hiding behind clouds that day so we didn't get to experience the view we paid for. Good size bathroom with nice shower. Hotel offers free shuttle to/from kawaguchiko station which was nice. You can walk from the hotel down to the lake where you can get nice photos with mt fuji (we did this the next morning when there were less clouds). Bus stop for kawaguchiko red line is right outside hotel. Public spa was lovely where you can also see a view of Mt Fuji when able. Lounge area is lovely with a free tea station.
Cons: Dinner was expensive so we brought our own dinner+breakfast with us. We were told we couldn't reserve private spa bath until arrival at hotel so we were unable to book it in daylight hours which we wanted. Hours for the spa are not good (only from 4pm-11pm) and no times available earlier in the day and price is expensive. Spa was still a nice experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All hotel reception staff are super professional and nice. Their hospitality and warmness welcom is the best we ever never had in Japan. They entertained every questions we had. That was so helpful during my Fujisan marathon with families.

Pros: The food was splendid. Fresh material and great taste. We enjoyed it a lot. The staff was nice greeting us and providing us information.

Pros: Service was impeccable. The dinner and breakfast were well thought out and delicious. Also loved the little touches- the shuttle service, the green tea and the sweets when we checked into our room... Was well looked after for sure.
Cons: Heater was a bit loud but could be turned off easily and bed sheets were warm enough without the heater
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are extremely professional and friendly. Shuttle came to pick us up at the Station promptly. Room was clean and neat. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Onsen has Mt Fuji view.
Cons: Walls between rooms are a little bit thin.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have book this hotel before I traveled for a month when I have some questions and mailed to the hotel , they were really care and paid attention on every question. The staffs are very nice and good English speaker. The hotel have a great hospitality staff. Japanese cuisine is excellent. A room with Mt. Fuji is very nice even on the day that I stayed Mt. Fuji is very shy. But it is a reason for me to visit Kawaguchiko again. An onsen on the top of hotel with an amazing view of Kawaguchiko lake with Mt. fuji is a thing that you have to act like Japanese to take a bath in public bathing. The hotel located infront of bus stop no. 11. I really recommend this hotel for whom looking for a nice and peaceful hotel with a good staff.
Cons: A pillow is a bit flat.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: good location, very friendly and helpful hotel staff
Cons: a bit of expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice meals and good view
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were wonderful - incredibly hospitable and warm and dinner was exceptional.
Cons: We couldn’t help but feel like we paid too much for a hotel that seems like it hasn’t been updated in decades. Everything was very clean and well maintained but something about the aged plastic and pastel textured walls has a slightly depressing / cheap feeling you don’t expect for the price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great traditional food served in dining room with tatami mat floor Spacious traditional style room overlooking lake Convenient parking and welcoming staff
Cons: Nothing really

Pros: The location is excellent, just a minute from the lakeside where you can see clearly Mt Muji. It is also minutes away from the maple corridor. Cons: None
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at Weekend Shuffle in the evening but were glad to spot this place easily as the house exterior was well lit & exude a cosy ambience. The host, Teppei san welcome us in & he spoke fluent english. He recommended us a few good restaurants nearby for dinner & we were glad to try one of it! There's a hot bath in the house & we could use it privately. The rooms were simple but spacious & offer a view of Mt Fuji too! The living room area also allows guests to have free flow hot tea.
Cons: There was a fair bit of waiting time for the breakfast as Teppei san & staff busily prepared the individual sets. However, the tasty breakfast does made up for it. If guests wish to depart earlier, not sure if breakfast time can be earlier thou.

Pros: Very clean, good location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the station on foot. They have bicycle rental that I took advantage of. The room was small but clean, and it's a tatami room with futon, which I really love. Staff were friendly.
Cons: I spoke with 3 members of staff, only one spoke any English. Considering this guesthouse has a lot of foreign guests I'd have thought they'd have more. The room had small windows but no curtains, so it got far too bright far too early in the morning. Bring a sleeping mask.

Pros: Great location with 3 mins walk from the station Shared bathroom and toilet are very clean, new and well equipped. Comfortable room with tatami Can even see Mt fuji from the room window
Cons: None

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything. The place is 1km away from the Arakurayama sengen shrine where u get the most beautiful view over Mount Fuji. They offer everything they say in the description. Very traditional experience which we loved. The owner even helped us book a bus ticket to Tokyo(direct bus from Mt. Fuji station). Supermarket opened until late and Shimoyoshida train station is at 10 min away. The place is 3 train stations away from Kawaguchiko station, one of the most important connecting stations to a lot of cities in Japan. We can only recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is within walking distance and you can choose from two train stations to get further away. The host is super friendly. The room and the whole house feels cozy and has a wonderful smell. The bathroom is very clean. You can heat up food in a microwave if you don't want to eat outside. It was very quiet during my stay and I felt comfortable and relaxed in my room.
Cons: You might wake up early from the sunlight since the curtains don't block all the light. Also there was someone doing fireworks in the morning at 7. I don't know if it is common to do so in Fujiyoshida... however there a worse things than getting up early in such a wonderful city. In the morning you can watch Mt. Fuji "wake up" as the clouds covering the Mountain fade away.

Pros: Everything. Private room was amazing as was dinner and breakfast. Onsen was lovely and overlooked the lake it was beautiful. The facilities are good too with spa rooms and other onsens available along with karaoke and an arcade was great. Rooftop foot spa with Mr Fuji view was unreal.
Cons: The TV didn't have cast feature or any ability to get online, at least for ours. It was quite pricey and not being able to check-in until 3 and having to checkout at 10 was a shame for the price, not even 24 hours in the place. Can do late checkout til 11 for 2200 yen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were late at our expected check in time because of the rains but the staff were kind enough to keep in touch and they even let us have the kaiseki dinner even though we were late. The hotel itself was beautiful! And the view at our room, wow!!! I didnt expect mt. fuji to be that close! Spectacular view! And we were also lucky to have perfect weather so we saw fuji clearly with a cloudless sky. We had a private onsen in our room too. It was lovely to soak in and relax while looking at mt fuji. Thank you Konansou for the wonderful stay. Will definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Warm hospitality and excellent service. Large and spacious rooms suitable for families. Fantastic kaiseki dinner served with local and seasonal ingredients. Plenty of variety for buffet breakfast. Stunning view of Mt Fuji at rooftop.
Cons: Limited choices of bath in onsen. There was a flight of steps between the lift landing and the corridor to the rooms. A bit of challenge with luggage and kids in tow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, location, surrounding areas, travelling to, around, and from.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and huge room. Location especially great as close to everything. Great room service. Our room had an awesome lake view and a stone bath Onsens are just ok but have mount fuji view which is great.
Cons: Breakfast was average. For the price everything met expectations but no more. Onsens are closed at non peak hours and not 24hrs

Pros: All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. When I forgot my ring and called them to search for it, they really help find my ring and bring down to the reception ready for me to pickup.
Cons: The choice of breakfast kinda limit even though we choose morning box for the 1st morning and grill breakfast for 2nd morning. The only difference between the two is just location and a beacon instead of sausage.
7.9 Good
Pros: View and interior design architecture
Cons: Service etc No car after 7.00 pm can’t go out
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is so beautiful and comfort. You dont want to leave the room once you are in. Hotel's arrangement of inroom breakfast and dinner are superb. The staff is so nice, polite, friendly and helpful in everything. I took a taxi from Kawaguchigo station (cost around 3,000 Yen) to the hotel. The taxi driver will asked whether you have the booking and they will inform the hotel of our arrival for easy & convenience. After checked in, hotel will provide us a survival backpack that equipped with things that you may need for trekking. My advise is to check-in early around 2pm, then do for the free activities at the Cloud Terrace (cake decoration & champaign, log-cutting) for an hour before getting in the room and enjoy the rest of the time in room. In room services (I had Shabu Shabu dinner and breakfast in a box in-room) are superb. I am facsinated with the arrangement that so thoughtful in every little details. I also had canoeing in the morning, it was fun with the stunning lake view in front of Mt. Fuji - highly recommended.
Cons: Everything was great. If recommend, I feel that under this room rate, the minibar should be included as a courtesy - not that I want to have everything from the minibar, it is the top-up value that would exceed customers total experiences.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The uniqueness of the hotel - has different activities to keep guests occupied
Cons: Some views were covered by other buildings walls. But not a big deal
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were blown away by the amazing view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom window. This alone deserves a five star rating. We loved eating on the balcony - nice and snug despite morning temperatures only slightly above freezing. We also liked the way that the hotel had minimal impact on the surrounding nature.
Cons: After having stayed at Hoshinoya Tokyo, the facilities and staff at Fuji didn’t really match those at Tokyo. The food was also not as good, apart from the breakfast which was great. The glamping curry for two people was really only enough for one.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: everything was amazing! definately recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location with picture postcard outside the window.
Cons: Activities need to be booked by 6pm for the following day. Contact the resort if you are arriving late to book.

The family were lovely and super attentive, who all went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of our stay, and tailored our breakfast to suit our dietary requirements, making us feel like we were at a 5 star hotel at times. Thank you all very much for everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband, friends and I all looked to our overnight onsen experience as a highlight of our trip. Some of the points that made our visit so wonderful were: -Wonderful onsen experience -Helpful owners that went out of their way to make your stay memorable -Shuttle to the train station -Delicious homemade breakfast -Mix of Japanese and European style
Cons: Not really something I disliked, but be prepared for the owners not speaking much English. A few of my friends had some limited use of Japanese, which made things much smoother than they would have been otherwise.
7.9 Good
Pros: I came for the Fuji 5 Lakes Ultra. As there is no hotel plan available for overseas runners, I have to find a hotel closest to the start line so that I can walk to the start in the early morning. To my surprise, the lodge owner offered a ride to me which helped me greatly. Much appreciated.
Cons: I can't think of any for the moment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet setting, good breakfast, very friendly hosts, free use of city bicycles, laundrymat close by. Nice outdoor hot tub/Jacuzzi
Cons: The location is slightly out of town, but the hosts offer to drive you into town or local restaurants and pick you up so it wasn't a problem. This wasn't really a negative but just to make you aware that it is not in the center of town.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay. A characterful property, warm and cosy, in an idyllic setting. With limited English, the owner is helpful and courteous; facilities are acceptable, including a private Onsen. The rooms are of a very good size, clean and with all the necessities.
Cons: I made the mistake of forgetting my International Driving License and so couldn't rent a car - Don't make the same mistake, your own transport is an absolute must at this property!!!! The free pick-up and drop-off to/from the station is at very restricted times (to suit the owner). Communication with the hotel is quite limited but that could be due to the language barrier. Does not have a proper shower, just a handheld shower hose
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were delightful - very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lift into the town, booked us a restaurant for dinner, and took us to the mid-winter fireworks display (we didn't know there was one).
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were incredibly accommodating, picking us up from the station, driving us to Fuji Q and back and lending us torches. Very friendly and lovely even though they claimed to have poor English. Room was decent size, comfy and clean.
Cons: Our room was set up with two single beds, but may have just been an error with the booking I made. Although my husband and I didn't mind walking through the forest to get to some restaurants for dinner, it may bother some people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fancy breakfast with a thoughtful touch. And there’s a onsen room where we can soak a tired body with a hot spring. The interior and exterior design brought a european ambience which is very unique and full of character.
Cons: The staff cannot speak english. It’s bit hard to communicate but they had a pocket translator. The bed is hard and the pillow is minimalist. The location is in the woods. It’s not walking distance to the nearest shop or restaurant. But they are willing to pick up and drop off every day.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The food is delicious, the room is spacious. Some staffs were helpful and pleasant. You can see Mount Fuji and the lake.
Cons: Dusty and not very clean(windows facing the lake view is a bit blurry due to the unclean windows). Location very isolated without much amenities in the vicinity. Some of the room might have a musky smell. At 12 midnight the pipes rattling probably from the draining of the water is really loud making it hard to sleep. Facilities are old rustic and maybe out of date.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is a 10 minute walk from the lake. But the room has fantastic views of Mt Fuji and it was beautiful to see it in the morning. Very clean rooms and an excellent Yoshi-san who went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. He takes special care explaining the details and very soon one feels quite at home. We had a great evening at the onsen after dinner. Special mention about the music session by Yoshi. a must do with a drink in hand.

Cons: No
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Yoshi was sooo incredible that we didn't want to leave his place. The room we stayed was the biggest we were on the whole Japan trip (we were in a total of 4 places). He was so friendly and welcoming, he explained everything about the area and helped us to rent pushbikes. The location of his place is premium and if Mt. Fuji wasn't behind the clouds I would probably be writing this review with much more excitement but still - I hope you are luckier than us to see Fujisan unhidden. His place has 2 private Olsen which we enjoyed both days - just soo good. It has this vintage cottage feeling that sort of reminded us of our childhood, at the end of our stay he gave us a ride to the bus station and gave us cute souvenirs, haaa and he played "Yesterday" to us - one of my favourite songs (how could I forget this?)
Cons: Provide towels just to use the Olsen - our towels were a bit soaked after using it. That's all, everything else was great.

Pros: Our host Seiji was friendly, accomodating and helpful - going out of his way to get us settled in and helping us with recommendations. The property was in immaculate condition and just what we needed, with so many little details thought through and perfectly set up. We very much enjoyed the Mario Kart!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Seiji, treats us very well. The house is stand alone, and we had a very good memorable time. We must come back again. Thanks, Seiji :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was excellent, kept us very well informed, and met us on arrival and departure to look after us. The house was spacious, modern and comfortable. But the best thing was probably the beautiful 1300 year old shrine to Mt Fuji 50 metres away that had few visitors and was nicer than other shrines we visited in Japan. This is a very nice part of Japan.
Cons: The house had 4 toilets and 3 showers but in a dormitory style, which was a little different to what we would normally expect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, amenities and space for our party of 14.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Seiji, can speak so fluent English that we had no concerns during our stay. Also, he is super kind and hospitable. I wish I'd come back again someday soon.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host was so nice and very helpful, he had great suggestions around food and places to visit
Cons: The location is a little away from the city center but we enjoyed that.

Pros: Loved the place.Nice and cosy. Perfect location for sunrise on Mont Fuji which was the highlight of our holiday. Takes 5 mins walk from the property to reach the lake. The owners were so nice, friendly and welcoming. They gave us lost of useful information and pieces of advice. I highly recommend the place if you visit Kawagushiko.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love everything, that’s all i can say. -Host are great, very helpful; he can advise you almost everything even booking a bus back to tokyo. Quick response via using line. -House itself is comfy, have eveything which you need. -Location is the best; no need to walk down to lake, Fuji mount is already there front villa, Amazing!!! and if you need to visit those famous attractions, walk only 10-15mins everything is there around this place. -I highly recommend to stay here, instead of those 5stars hotel. You can see Fuji mount same as them; and same budget.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property owner (I am sorry that I forgot his name, we chatted so much about the villa and his cats and also his brother, but I just could not remember his name) was extremely friendly, helpful and conversational. The guide offered to explore the villa as well as its peripheries was exhaustive! The house is warm, beautifully set and very clean and cozy, felt a bit too empty and large for just the two of us, it would have been more an exciting and comfortable staying place for a group of 4 people traveling, like friends or family. Anyway, highly recommended, did not have anything unhappy at all about the place!
Cons: Nothing much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful time at lake villa kawaguchiko. We wish that we stayed longer. The place is really beautiful and the villa feels like home away from home. It is close to lots of beautiful spots in Kawaguchiko and everything looks like postcard perfect. Hiro, Mio and everyone we met are also amazing hosts! Thank you so much for making our stay at kawaguchiko a very pleasurable one. We will definitely be back! ❤
