Half board, very good value for money
Very dated property, had a charm but it needs a bit of an upgrade
Everything: location, clean, view, price, breakfast, dinner, bar, things to do in the lobby, air, parking, near gondolla, nice stuff, nice terrasse, everything simply great.
The dinner included in the price could have been a bit richer.
I booked a Single Room. I paid B$58 / US$34 per night for Half Board. Hotel Ela is a big hotel. My room was on the 3rd floor. The hotel has a lift. My room was an average size. The room was listed as a ‘single’ but had a double bed. It had no aircon (presumably because it is not normally needed) but it did have a radiator for the winter. The ensuite bathroom was small but adequate. The shower had good power and plenty of hot water. It had a mini fridge and, surprising, a TV that had several English speaking channels: one of which was movies. The room had good storage and a wardrobe. My room had a nice view out over the gardens. There was wifi in the room but, sometimes, the signal was weak. Wifi was much better in the ‘common areas’ like the downstairs bar. The Breakfast Buffet was served in the downstairs restaurant. It was a ‘typical’ Bulgarian breakfast. They provided cold meats, cheeses, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, breads, and jams. In addition, they provided a warm option: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, and croissants. Fruit, yogurt, and cakes were also available. There were drinks machines providing bottomless tea and coffee. At breakfast I saw, perhaps, 6-10 other people. At Breakfast (presumably because there were so few people to cook for) we were asked to select our 4-course Dinner options. The hotel provides a free Fitness Centre. It also provides a Sauna at extra cost.
Nothing. Everything was good.
possibility for bringing your pets
extra charge for pets was applied, even though it was stated extra charge would not apply for dogs. Apart from that, everything was awesome- recommend it
