They were very helpful in our arriving later than their check-in times and communicated promptly. The location in the St Fagan's district is superb
1. They could have reminded us that they did not have card facilities on arrival 2. The host was not aware that the pub next door stopped serving food at 8:30pm and thus when we went there on their recommendation we could not get dinner. 3. It was strange that we had to vacate the premises after breakfast until late afternoon. 4. Although not unfriendly, we struggled with a general cool reception (this could easily be improved with hugely positive results).
Very nicely appointed room and bathroom. Very quiet location.
Lovely house, host, room, food and location. Thanks Julie!
Lovely place, fantastic food, very comfortable
We were driving around England/Wales for the first part of our UK trip, and picking places to stay as we figured out where we'd end up each night. The hostess at the Laurels was very accommodating of our last minute booking, and the room was very nice. The area is very pretty, with a great pub around the corner, along with a gorgeous museum and church. Breakfast in the morning was very nice.
With a stay at The Laurels in Cardiff (St. Fagans), you'll be a 1-minute drive from Museum of Welsh Life (Welsh Folk Museum) and 5 minutes from Llandaff Cathedral. Free self parking is available onsite.
