9.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome on arrival, and really friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. Dinner and breakfast were both very good with lots of choice. My room was a great size, just wished I had been staying longer! The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was lovely.
Cons: There's nothing I didn't like, so the comments here are just observations and wouldn't stop me staying at the hotel in the future. There were lots of power points available in the room, but it would have been even better if there had been a couple of USB charging points as well. Being a little vertically challenged, I found the washbasin and the step into the shower quite high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Health spa/pool very nice - good sized pool. Staff at hotel were all lovely including cleaning staff. Cooked breakfast and room service - Food all excellent Beds super comfy. Immaculate hotel Overall a really nice experience - friendly staff made all the difference
Cons: Got a little confused on way - finding hotel - ended up at back in housing estate! Staff didnt seem to know of local walks - not everyone likes a country walk but it's something we always do on trips out of city - we did find out about a couple on our own in the end though
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was very good, both breakfast and dinner. The spa was good, although quite busy during our stay.
Cons: The room could have done with a sofa, or more comfortable chairs to relax in.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice big comfy bed
Cons: The location was a bit out of the way, and the shower wasn’t great
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff, the view, the quiteness. Very good place to take a rest.
Cons: Very hard find the hotel. GPS can't guide you right to the hotel. Many stairs.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before which is why we chose this hotel again. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful and our room was very comfortable.
Cons: There is really nothing negative I can say about this hotel, it suited our needs and we were happy with the service we received.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was good our purpose.
Cons: The hotel’s understanding of a continental breakfast (like many UK establishments!) is patently flawed! Some research on their part required to realise what an amazing meal it can be rather than a cheaper alternative to a British full cooked breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff in the counter was nice . Provided tea and coffee with milk.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy room value for money excellent bar
Cons: Was all good
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was comfy and clean and the bar/restaurant area was warm and inviting.
Cons: The breakfast was possibly the worst I've ever seen at any hotel, no staff to attend to the guests and what little food was put out was pretty much inedible, truly awful, refunded the cost which was the only positive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, clean with friendly staff. Excellent food in the restaurant, and no drop in standards despite being January and virtually empty
Cons: Was a bit away from Dunfermline.. further than I thought.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room,pleasant staff
Cons: Breakfast was a big letdown, poor choices.Service quite bad due to staff shortages
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amenities are clean and modern. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was only available if pre-booked.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms Clean rooms Comfortable Courteous staff
Cons: Breakfast not the best Drainage of sinks poor
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff were friendly and apologetic, the bed was comfortable
Cons: The breakfast we booked first day was awful. The scrambled egg could be sliced with a knife and had a skin like egg custard, the bacon was fatty and greasy, the mushrooms greasy, the sausage was a barbecue sausage and didn’t look cooked, it was anaemic looking and pretty tasteless. The shower didn’t work in our room it was freezing cold or boiling hot with no in between. The radiator in our room was off for three of our four day stay and on one evening it was minus 3 degrees. We both have arthritis so this wasn’t good for us. Our room was in the eaves and on my side of the bed the wall sloped so if I got up middle of night, I kept banging my head against the wall. The hotel refunded the breakfast we couldn’t eat and said there were several complaints from other guests, the chef was new, apparently and they were short staffed. No refund for our discomfort was offered when we complained.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so lovely and helpful, the rooms are clean and made daily, the location is good for me as its close to where my family live, but also located in a lovely village, 5 minute drive to dunfermline town centre
Cons: The breakfast was probably one of the worst i have ever had. Made my son ill and was nothing like the last time we stayed. The room i had had a messy view out of the back windows and the heating comes on at random times throughout the night but goes off when you get up

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were lovely. Double shower was good.,
Cons: Bed sheet Flat as opposed to fitted and moved about at different rate to Mattress protector which wasn’t fitted either - was most annoying and uncomfortable. Saniflow Toilet was extremely noisy, especially disruptive in the night. Room was a bit dark, grubby and dismal.
7.0 Good
Cons: The shower in room 34 was really bad couldn't get a proper wash as no pressure with the water
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central, bright and busy
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Location is good .
Cons: Bedroom very cramped . Had to move wardrobe to access socket . No room to walk around bed had to move chair each time . No socket beside mirror. Have to leave key when going out . On return nobody at reception had to wait a while for someone to come from the bar which was very busy being Saturday night . Then just asked room number and key was handed over . Not asked for name or anything so anyone could walk in state any room number and key would be handed to them ! Not very secure at all and think this needs addressing for security of guests belongings. Food was average breakfast was quite dry
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. The breakfast was freshly cooked (no heat lamps, thank goodness) and delicious
Cons: My room was at the front of the Hotel. Being a city centre location, it was very noisy in the evening. To be expected I suppose.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel and room very clean. Good restaurant with reasonable prices. Location ideal for main shopping streets, park and abbey.
Cons: Hotel is too warm, if that's a fault? Street can be noisy at night, but that is something that didn't really bother me. No lift and quite steep stairs to upper floor rooms might be an issue for some. Limited free parking, but convenient and cheap council car park is located to rear of hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First time in Dunfermline - all staff were so helpful and friendly - highly recommended

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Entrance a bit confusing on arrival
1.0 Poor
Pros: prior to arriving I phoned reception and the person I spoke to was friendly and helpful. On checking in the reception staff were pleasant enough. The night porter was nice.
Cons: Apparently (according to a manager who was not pleasant) in this supposed 3 star hotel, the radiator in the room is operated by the key being in the electricity slot at the door - so if you are out for hours, there is no heating! The management seem to think that this acceptable in December in Scotland! The room was very cold on arrival and we decided it was perhaps on a timer. We went out to see a band for the evening for 5/6 hours and returned at around 1.30am to a freezing cold room. It was impossible to sleep and we had been told that reception was not open during the night (there was no-one at reception when we arrived in, being let in by the Night Porter) . After trying to turn on the radiator (with the keycard in the electricity slot) nothing happened despite numerous attempts at different levels. We were so cold that we reluctantly decided we would be forced to call a taxi at a cost of £52 and go home to our warm bedrooms. I have never experienced anything like this before and I often use hotels. I left a note for the management and when I called the next day (they didn't call me as promised) they refused to refund us and said that they had been in the building and had come down to the room after we left and immediately switched the heating on (they could hear the water trickling through the radiator she said) I will never return to this hotel and the room was much shabbier than the lead photos on the hotel profile on booking.com suggest. A receptionist told me that the hotel was due to be closed on the Sunday (when I phoned to ask about a late check out) and I do wonder if the heating was off for work being done or if it was broken and it was to be fixed. I don't know how other guests didn't do the same and have to leave as the hotel was reportedly full. This was Saturday 14th December. What a let down to what was to be a fun relaxing weekend break!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The suite was exceptional. Very spacious and modern
Cons: On the whole the room and bathroom was clean. Attention to detail needs more as the wardrobe had finger prints all over it and there were crumbs at the sofa. Not a huge issue but when u are paying for the experience of a suite, you kind of expect perfection

Pros: Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Triple cooked chips were very greasy and ruined my fish and chips meal.offered us a dessert for free then charged us for one which caused a grievance with us and the manager.also there’s nothing to do out with the hotel unless you taxi it or drive
6.0 Good
Pros: The view of the New Bridge
Cons: The was a building site, barely room to park cars. Staff were pleasant enough, however some warning would have been helpful to allow us to look for other accommodation.

Pros: Stayed here quite a few times now, always happy to return, great friendly staff, great rooms and facilities, decent car park and excellent breakfast. Often use this hotel as it's only ten minutes walk from Dunfermline Queen Margaret train station so it's easy commute into Edinburgh.
Cons: Had a room onto the car park and next to recycling bins and what sounded like an outdoor fan which kept waking us up during the night, however during my other stays here I have stayed at the front or side of the hotel which have always been good to sleep in.
