We loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had a wonderfully comfy bed and huge bath tub.
We couldn’t find the iron!
Bed was very comfortable.
I booked the hotel for my partner's birthday and I was actually mortified and really sad when we arrived at the room. The main house looks beautiful. But they took us across to Hampton house. I noticed the hallways and door were very worn. The room was very shabby and a bit tatty. The finishings and attention to detail was not at all what you would experience at a five star hotel. The hotel has a couple of suites in the main Duntane house from which it is 5 star rated. The house across the road, Hampton house, is in no way the same standard. It was very cold, you have to adjust the radiators yourself. The radiator buzzed all night. And when I woke my clothes were so cold in my suitcase, they were almost damp. The room had very little natural light, or actual lights, which made it difficult to do practical things like putting in makeup or just getting dressed. Walls like paper, could hear the couple in the room next to us. As well as people walking about above us. No fridge or minibar. Iron and board on request.
- cosy bedroom - welcoming staff - nice restaurant - very good Scottish breakfast - beautiful old house
- the terrace is in front of a busy road but it’s quiet in the bedrooms - there are different houses so it’s nice in the old one but not as nice in the new buildings. - not much space to store stuffs in the bathroom - no cupboard
Staff were fantastic and went above and beyond, breakfast was well worth the money and an excellent choice of hot and cold food
The staff and decor.
My room was sold as a double but it was extremely small, it should be a single. I'm 6 ft 3 inches and I struggled in the bathroom which was also very small.
