I liked the breakfast in the morning and the outdoor seating.
It took forever to get my room cleaned up. I ended up having to ask if the room was on the list and the reply was “what do you need?”. Also, it seems weird to complain about it, but the bed sheets were rough to the point that my skin felt like I got rug burn. The front desk was very nice and overall a good place to stay.
Staff was very friendly. Check in and out was super easy. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable.
Room and hotel was very clean but I only gave 4 stars because the elevator had a bad odor. In the lobby they have what they call a "full service restraunt and bar" but only 1 person was working it as a cook, cashier, barista, everything. It wasn't her fault but we had to wait forever.
Conveniently located of the freeway and close to Houston Hobby the Courtyard made a good location for travelling around Downtown and South Houston. The common areas are clean and modern with some nice touches, illustrated books in the lobby specific to the area give the visitor good reading material and possibly spark the interest to visit local attractions. The rooms were comfortable we experienced no issues during our stay. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
We stayed Wed - Sun. The breakfast area closed at 10. a.m. on Sunday, many people came to the restaurant between 10 & 11 looking for breakfast items. We felt that breakfast could have been served until 11 a.m. on a Sunday. In defense of the staff they continued to serve coffee, donuts etc. until around 10.15.
