Wonderful. Stepping back in time, but with every modern convenience, the Pera Palas is a respite from a bustling city with beautiful interiors, graciously proportioned rooms, and the world's friendliest staff.

Pros (+) Built as the hotel for first class passengers at the end of the line on the Orient Express, this grand hotel oozes history and elegance. I had a corner room, which was massive and tastefully appointed. The marble bathroom was impressive. The staff is professional and attentive. I’ve wanted to stay at the Pera Palace for a while and it was worth every penny!
Cons (-) Nothing. There is nothing not to love about this hotel!
