The hotel location is great but is has no parking the rooms are big but there are ants and cocoraches all over. the hotel is over price for it's facilities I was the only guest for 3 days
Cute little hotel on the West Bank, perfect if you want to see how the locals live away from the city. We went in July for 1 night and were the only guest there. We got a “family bungalow” which is 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms in a cottage, very roomy! The decor is spartan but nice and it’s all very clean. the A/C is very cold and so are the mini-fridges.Tthey sell beer for only LE40. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the part of the village with shops and restaurants, and it’s easy to find transportation. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a mama dog with 4 puppies on the properties, she is an awesome dog, sweet and loving to everyone. I hope they take god care of her...she is missing patches of hair and seems hungry a lot (I gave her all my breakfast :) )
Coffee is horrible, they should invest in a real coffee machine and real coffee - even and American drip one would be good. I’d happily pay extra for that. Breakfast is pretty simple and it would be nice to get some fresh fruit as well. The pool is nice but will need to be updated soon, it is lined with plastic, not tile and it’s coming off in places.
Staff were helpful under difficult circumstances, as there was NO POWER, they went out and got food from somewhere! Beds were comfy... big room.
Old dusty outside area, seat not comfortable for eating at tables, no garden to walk in as advertised. Wi fi to rooms was very weak or non existent, kettle was broken and no milk or creamer for coffee.
The staff, particularly Rafat, are very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is very good....quiet and no hassle. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. If you want utter peace and quiet, this is a great place.
The facilities, considering what the hotel are charging, are sub standard and in a state of dis repair. The hotel has a nice local, ethnic, chilled "vibe"....but then does not charge "local" prices....it charges top class, luxury, 5 star hotel prices. The swimming pool, though cleaned every day, is utterly freezing and unheated. The whole hotel basically is tatty and seems as though it has been allowed to go downhill. It certainly needs some maintenance. The owner needs to spend some money to revamp the facilities. We paid 800 US Dollars for 7 nights and this, for the area, is way over priced.
This is a great boutique hotel, top quality, the service is fantastic, the hotel is as a traditional village, the apartments in style are very nice, with all the confort all you need, large, clean, fully furnished, in great condition. Nile river crossing, and immediate when you need, is free!!! A special thanks to Rafat, the hotel manager, always available and very professional to take care of all one needs, but all the staff was very helpful and nice. A very relaxing place for who wants to live a real Luxor experience, out of the conventional stays in big chain hotel, but with a service and room quality as five stars one ..... This is the place we will stay again in case we will return to Luxor
