Beautiful, chic hotel!
Top notch for a European hotel in terms of cleanliness and design. The location is not ideal, but taxis were easy to come by. Architecturally it's stunning.
The rooftop pool is subpar (tiny) and has woefully inadequate seating.
As other people have said, it is the staff at this hotel that were really great and I have told people about it that I would not normally tell or make comment to. If all hotels used this one as an example of how to deal with customers from the point you enter it, travelling would be a lot more pleasant. It is the little things that they do so well and always cheerfully, they respond, they are good at what they do from the restaurant to the bar to reception and the doorman and porter. I dont know how they do it, but they need to keep the secret and keep it going!!
The size of the gym and the pool!!
The next generation "W"
Rooftop and lobby bars are amazing Design of the hotel was beautiful and extremely trendy
Location and cleanliness
all signs are in Spanish. the hotel is not designed for international visiters.
At EUR 22 plus per person, breakfast is too expensive. It is good, but out of proportion with what you get ...which ios a good breakfast.
the front off staf are really help us with a perfect way & the houes keeper are more than great, just need litel more in english
some department need ,english for comunication
The hotel is very attractive, sleek and modern. The best feature is the location, just a short walk to Puerta Del Sol and tons of restaurants/tapas bars, and a pleasant walk to the Prado or the Palace Real. The desk staff were very helpful in identifying nearby restaurants and answering questions about Madrid. The bathroom amenities were outstanding, nice big towels and a great shower. Black out curtains and free internet were a big plus.
Urban is very attractive and the rooms spacious by European standards, but ours on Floor 1 was very noisy. Not sure about the upper floors, but we heard everyone in the hallway, all the early morning preparations and the popular bar at night. The beds may be to European tastes, but far too firm for us - just a mattress on a platform. The breakfast was inappropriately expensive (a smaller, more affordable option - coffee, juice and croissants, perhaps?). We also missed being able to utilize some of the common spaces, esp. the roof terrace, due to many private functions. The desk staff were great but others seemed more interested in chic than service. This hotel is best suited for (much) younger people and business travelers.
Every thing was really excellent .. The staff were really friendly helpful , great guidance , with a big smile .. Very modern hotel , very clean and the location was really perfect ..
The breakfast was not included in the room rate not even an option when I did the booking so I can include it with the booking
Location, the porter (very nice people) the restaurant
There were no spa, in a 5* that´s not on.....
Excellent Design. Great Location. Staff and Amenities.
The bed wasn't very comfortable...and the sheets were like sand paper.
the service were very good +++ and very personalliti. and very near the center. the urban hotel desezin to my test.
Hotel decor, nice room, central location
No window to the outside from the room
The room design and the location. Breakfast was also great.
The staff could be more attentive sometimes. When checking in we had to wait 5 minutes while 3 employees tried to find a restaurant for an other guest on the map. This is bad priority.
