10.0 Wonderful
The location is great, right next to where the walking part of the Malecon is at. Perfect pool and really good and affordable food at the hotel restaurant/bar that’s poolside. Sunsets are incredible, wish I could post a picture. Little busy outside with vendors, but I like that and it wasn’t noisy at night. Also you’re very close walking distance to some of the major bars/dance clubs that are right down the Malecon. Security is good, they are right at the door and everyone get hand sanitizer when they walk in. Place felt very clean. Honestly this hotel is great for spending time with a loved one, going to have fun, or bringing your kids- some kids in the pool we’re having a blast. You’re right on the beach, but you have to walk to the side of the hotel to get in the ocean, big rocks are in front of the hotel I assume to protect from erosion since the hotel is so old. It’s all sand on either side for as far as you can see. I will absolutely be back

Cons:We paid 127 Canadian & received a room worth $50 put in the farthest corner of hotel no lights on hallways was dark almost tripped on ramp Last old room at the end of the hall Very small bathroom not clean had black mold We were told no other rooms available yet when we went back later to say really not happy they said we could move Very unhappy as had request a ocean view room & got put in a 50 room at best My brother paid 48 & was Adviced he would be on the side facing the street for that price we paid 127 thinking we were getting ocean view & nope we’re out in the dungeon Not happy don’t know if it was hotel fault or booking conpany today I will find out

Pros:Staff were friendly, rooms dated and small but clean and good for a night or two. Close to the malecon
Cons:Nothing it as all fine

8.5 Very Good
Pros:This hotel was excellent for the money and we got an amazing deal. It was a excellent budget hotel and the location was fantastic as it sits just at the top of the strip. The breakfast buffet was good but a little hard to negotiate the first time. I did not speak Spanish and the staff spoke enough English to cover the basics and were very nice. The pool was good and it was great fun to sit by during happy hour. The ocean view rooms are great, but I had a street view which was awesome for the people watching.
Cons:The beds were a little hard but after a few margaritas I managed to sleep through the night.

9.4 Wonderful
Pros:I loved how close the hotel was to the downtown area. I also liked the breakfast offered every morning (we stayed 5 nights). The staff at the front was very helpful when I asked how to rent jetskis.
Cons:I did not like how the cleaning service came so late in the day, around 4-5 pm, would of preferred if they came to clean the room earlier.

6.0 Okay
Pros:The coffee
Cons:The room appeared to need some work. It did not give a good impression.

8.8 Very Good
Pros:The hotel is right on the Malecon with the BEST view for gorgeous sunsets over the water! Even though our room was street side, we could still see the water and hear the waves crashing to shore as we slept! The staff was helpful and prompt. We were only 1-2 blocks from bus stops (depending on the direction of travel). It was a very inexpensive and a great value for the money!
Cons:The "free continental breakfast" was rather minimal, but we supplemented with heartier items and paid the difference, which was VERY reasonable. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow.
K
7.4 Good
Pros:I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The location can not be faulted and the room was clean and well maintained. The pool is great and sitting there in the evening listening to the waves was very peaceful. Air conditioning was good as was the shower.
Cons:The room we got did not have an ocean view and unfortunately we were not able to upgrade due to the Mexican holiday. Room a little on the small size but mind you we did not spend a lot of time in it. Lots of noise from the street as well as the clubs that played until almost dawn. The weekends were the worst. Food at the hotel was on the mediocre side and pricey compared to other outlet in Vallarta. Fundamentally a basic hotel but well run and well located. Would not stay again but only because I would play more to get more amenities ----but for the price the Rosita is good value.
