The place did have maid service so it was clean. I had a single room which was a nice size. The wifi worked great.
I didn't have any heat in my room.
Breakfast should be included within the price
Ideal one-night stopover in Rome. From Fiumicino, it's a short hop on the train to Trastevere, then an easy ten minute stroll up the road, with cheap eateries & minimarkets en route; and this can be simply reversed for a connection the following morning. The hostel is easy to find, relaxed, friendly, informative, clean. A kind of travellers' coffee shop vibe. The dorm was a bit down-in-the-dungeon in terms of location & access, but in good nick, and a single bed instead of bunks: a simple feature, but one I usually find less constricting of movement, especially for an early bird start. Besides, it was better to go out and stretch the legs. Another stroll north along the main drag takes you inside the walled city & the underrated atmospheric quarter of Trastevere. (The lively bar of San Calisto serves cheap beer: a rarity in central Rome.) From there it's easy to cross the Tiber into landmark Rome.
Staff were exceptional.
Bunk beds uncomfortable. No screens on bedroom windows so not safe to leave windows open.
