Occupying a Renaissance-era building, this Rome hotel is steps from the Ponte Sisto pedestrian bridge, which leads to the medieval Trastevere neighborhood. The Roman Forum is 1.2 km (0.6 mi) away.
Pros: Great location, nice big bathrooms, spacious rooms in general. Nice comfortable accommodation, walking distance to everything (including nightlife and many major attractions).Cons: Bellhops were very nice, but some of the desk staff was slightly unfriendly and unhelpful. Restaurant staff asked us to leave table (in beautiful garden) after finishing coffee to make room for other guests but there were many other tables. Guest service not the hotel's strongest area in my brief experience.
Pros: LocationCons: Comfort ok, beds a bit too firm. Reception staff were cordial and helpful. Bar staff were going to overcharge for beverage until I pointed out the correct price in menu. Don't know if intentional or not, but you would think they know the correct pricing as advertised in their menu. Our room was on third level on the side where the hotel entrance is located. This area can be noisy at night, especially on weekends when people are walking on the street and street musicians (which hung out a few doors down from the hotel) are playing. The rooftop terrace is nice but the views are limited and there were many yellow jackets/hornets around the evening appetizers at the bar.
