Pros: Everyone was so nice and friendly! Great stay near a convinient store and under 5 min walk to Hiroshima station!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is conveniently located very close to the main station and there are some nice taverns in the area. The entertainment area is in a walking distance, but main tourist attractions require transportation. The bike rental is also very convenient. It seems more oriented at Japanese guests, making it quieter than usual backpacker hostels.
Cons: No elevator

Pros: Clean and good location. Very good value for money. It was very comfortable and close to the station
Cons: No lifts if you will be carrying big luggages

Cons: Nothing
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent. Except for a few stray hairs in the shower it was very clean. The beds are not that comfortable, but for $33 a night it was perfect. It is a no frills hostel, but we were very happy with our stay. They had a nice kitchen, books and games, laundry, and a cute roof. They even had bikes to rent.
Cons: Better mattresses would be the only thing that could improve.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, strong wifi everywhere, good equipted kitchen. The private room was large enough for 2 people and luggage. When you stay at least 3 nights you will get a voucher for the laundry.
Cons: Very thin walls so you can hear your neighbors quite well. There is only one shower and toilet on each floor and the sink is in the hallway.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room and a comfortable bed.

Miyajima Seaside Hotel - Hiroshima - Building

8.9 Excellent (1,773 reviews)
S$ 324+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Miyajima Seaside Hotel in Hatsukaichi, you'll be on the boardwalk, just steps from Suginoura Shrine and a 2-minute drive from Tsutsumigaura Nature Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service. Everyone was polite and helpful. Rooms were large and spacious for us family of four, and felt very traditional Japanese living, something we wanted to experience.
Cons: Location is a bit far from main Miyajima area, but they had shuttle bus arranged so that helped a lot. And for this reason it’s also a quieter place which you may want for an accommodation on this beautiful island.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our first time staying at a ryokan so we didn't know what to expect. Room rates include breakfast and kaiseki dinner. Both meals impressed us not only for the quality of food but also for the variety. Every day's set meals were different. The staff were very helpful and hospitable, kudos to them. Our room had a magnificent sea view and very spacious too. We appreciate the daily free complimentary sweets. My husband used the onsen every day during our stay and he was all praises for how it relaxed his body. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to any traveler who is looking for a safe, peaceful, relaxing stay while visiting the beauty of the island.
Cons: The location was a bit off the shopping and dining area but the hotel offers free shuttle service so that compensates for it somehow. The towels were a bit too thin and feel old. Other than these, I can't think of anything bad to say about the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly ryokan ... very good services ... very good food
Cons: A little refurbishment will be good for older facilities and also bigger toilet for larger size people
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner meals excellent, onsen very nice, room very nice.
Cons: Would like a Western breakfast option, even if only available if requested in advance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the hotel, staff, food , and location. The staff were so polite, warm and friendly. The breakfast and kaiseki dinners that I paid for were outstanding! My family just loved the onsen baths also. Just need to take their shuttle from ferry terminal to hotel. Easy and convenient . Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very spacious and clean. We loved the soji doors and tatami beds. It felt like we went back in time to old Japan.
Cons: Nothing because we enjoyed our short stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, simpl, comfortable room with a great sea view and an amazing dinner. Helpful, friendly staff
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful staff and traditional facilities. Very peaceful place to stay. We had to adjust our stay due to early travel and the staff were very accommodating. Genuine, kind service was greatly appreciated.

Pros: The room was great, good location near attractions, shopping, metro etc. Our room looked exactly like pictures on the hotel site. We had a fantastic view and an awesome bath with view too.
Cons: Everything was great!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff, nice breakfast, great onsen
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, close to the railway. Close to tram, just outside of hotel.
Cons: Hard to find, even local volunteer couldn’t give us directions. Possibly because it’s a relatively new hotel and is not on the tourist maps yet. Breakfast was a little disappointing particularly if you like the more European style food including eggs bacon, fresh fruit etc.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very new place so it’s quite clean and quirky.
Cons: The breakfast was a mad. Got there early and it still took 30 minuets to get though the buffet line.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central location, nice sauna
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A good location with fab restaurant downstairs and easy access to convenience stores. Good sized rooms. Easy to access via team car from the station. Easy walk to museum and park.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff is pleasant.
Cons: The various ratings given by different hotel Room booking website about this hotel is absolutely very exaggerating. Room is very small. Toilet/bathroom very small. Have to collect shower amenities in front of reception. Not worth the value. Perhaps for cheap group tours from neighbouring country. Very disappointed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness was superb
Cons: Slightly far from the train station

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room, views, staff, location... was perfect

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious rooms. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They provided excellent customer service. Convenient to railway station. Would stay here again if I return to Hiroshima without a doubt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is convenient and perfect, located at the JR rail/Shinkansen station, with Hiroshima city streetcar station in front of rail station. Extremely clean, awesome beds, spa-like showers, great food, fun bar with Happy hour, easily-accessed smoking area outside the lobby, corner rooms with amazing views, English speaking staff, money-converting machine in lobby, A+ breakfast buffet, convenience stores located steps away in rail station and across the street.
Cons: All was basically perfect. Just know that the hotel is NOT "walking distance" to any tourist spots, but IS located steps from the rail and Shinkansen central station and a short walk to Hiroshima streetcar station which will take you all over the city for a few dollars. (¥160 or $1.60 to go direct to Atomic Dome and a museum). Restaurants are pricey but there are 7-Elevens in the rail station for late snacking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for price. Very pleased with size of room and comfort. Staff so helpful and pretty good at speaking English. Bar was nice place to relax. Close to station and very convenient. Room service was nice as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, large clean modern rooms, get the deluxe rooms as they are well furnished and modern

Pros: Location, staff and breakfast

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Honestly, J-Hoppers Guesthouse is the best hostel I have ever stayed in and I can not imagine any better place! 1) outstanding service: I was able to enter the hostel already at 7 a.m of my check-in day! I was allowed to use all facilities (free tea & coffee, kitchen, chill-out zone, bathroom) many hours before the actual check-in. 2) The staff: such an amazing team!! They do not only give good advice for everything, concerning food places (an advice I got and I fell in love is: Dandan - the best Okonomiyaki you just HAVE to try!), the public transportation, hot bathing... But with their friendliness and outgoing characters they create a family/friend-atmosphere where you feel more than welcome. I especially have to mention Mariko - a really lovely girl you will for sure like because she always has this contagious smile to offer. 3) The whole hostel is very clean (they take special care of the showers - I was looking forward to using them). 4) The facilities are really nice & comfortable (living room: couch, TV, guitar, fully equipped kitchen, rooftop terrace, a space for smokers, bicycles to rent) and perfect to have a relax-day. --> This place/the staff knows what Hospitality means - really great place. If I am around, I will for sure step by and spend some more nights :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A clean, comfortable place with competent, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: N/a
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely hotel... rooms are small, but functional as expected in Japan...
Cons: Nothing, it was great.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location at the train station and great views. Many restaurants in the hotel and around and a higher floor restaurant. Larger than typical room and very comfortable linens and details.
Cons: The maple loop tourist bus winter hours aren't very long. The restaurant and hotel is expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, very convenient as it is in the train station in the city center
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very convenient since it is located right next to the station. What surprised my family was, a staff was waiting for us before we checked out and was kind enough to ask if we want our bags be checked in for safekeeping.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close from Hiroshima station, clean and simple room which was just enough space for 2 adults and 1 little child. Small present for my child at the reception (because it was Christmas day)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Pillows
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is good being above Hiroshima train station and adjacent to shopping mall.
Cons: We stayed on the 20th floor. Noise from chair movement in the restaurant above our room on the 21st floor was bothersome. Some elements of the Japanese toilet did not function correctly.
Miyajima Kinsuikan - Hiroshima - Building
8
8.7 Excellent (831 reviews)
S$ 639+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Miyajima Kinsuikan in Hatsukaichi, you'll be in the historical district, within a 10-minute walk of Itsukushima Shrine and Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely typical Japanese Ryokan where you can experience wearing typical dress and taste local delicacies. Excellent location and great professional staff who cannot do enough to make your stay memorable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location on the water was perfect. Easy walk from/to the ferry. We had two luxury triple rooms (with private bathrooms) next to each other. Both had nice sitting areas (including a massage chair) with views of the water and the floating torii gate. Dinner served in the room was wonderful, and breakfast (served in the dining hall) was good, too. The futon was incredibly comfortable and there was a selection of pillows so you could choose what you liked. We spent 15 days in Japan and I had my best night's sleep here. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We only only spent one night on Miyajima but we all felt we would have liked another day to see and do more. Another night at Kinsuikan would have been heaven.
Cons: The downside to the Japanese style rooms is that there's no place to lie down if you need to. Since we had just arrived in Japan the night before (from the US), we were still quite jet-lagged and after dinner all I wanted to do was go to bed but our futons hadn't been set up yet. If I had it to do over again I would still book a Japanese style room, but I might ask them to set up the futons sooner.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was nice, service was good, but not exceptional by Japanese standards.
Cons: Pricey for what it offers. I think they charge for 2 people so it was pricey because they do not give you more, just charges for 2

Pros: Excellent location. New and clean. With paid carpark. Huge toilet with bath and seperate shower area.

Pros: The facilities were wonderful! It was well worth the price, and not a long distance from the peace memorial.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome baththub with separate sitting shower, one you will find in ryokan, Separate bathroom to the toilet, hence the toilet is always dry. Nice room with ample of space quiet
Cons: check-in earlier if possible
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was convenient
Cons: Hotel TV programme were very limited to just local programme and no English programme.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, next to Donki (Don Quijote) and Shopping Mall, also close to Hondori Shopping street. Conveniently for transport with Street Car (Tram) and Bus. Hotel look New and nice than expectations, cleanness and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing (but if price rate cheaper, it will be good value more)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom was pretty cool, whole separate shower and bath area so you could bathe Japanese style or western style. Room was neat, clean and modern, hotel was convenient to everything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for our visit to the area.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Super clean hotel that appears like it caters to business travelers. The room, for Japan, was quite roomy and accommodating. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast. The location was convenient to the JR bus lines so you can travel the city at no cost, if you have the the JR RailPass. Fantastic shopping is also a few blocks away.
Cons: The breakfast is a traditional Japanese breakfast so if this is your thing, this is perfect. If you haven’t quite evolved your tastebuds then you may leave a little hungry.
Capsule Hotel Cube - Hiroshima - Building
10
8.6 Excellent (2,305 reviews)
S$ 33+
Overview Reviews
Located in Hiroshima (Naka Ward), Capsule Hotel CUBE is within a 15-minute walk of Shukkeien and Hiroshima Museum of Art. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the basics one can expect from a capsule hotel are provided. Capsules are modern and quite spacious. Easy check-in/out procedure. Very good value for money. Recommended if you are travelling alone.
Cons: Nothing negative to mention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent! Only Google maps send me somewhere else to enter the building... But other than that. Excellent. Location, cleanness, comfortable beds, facilities up to standard. I out and about all day, so I only come in to shower and sleep. For those who like windows and a view, my room is not for you. There is no window, just a slide door to enter a small table and a basket of "goodies": toiletries, pyama, surgery mask, toothbrush, razor, towels and slippers. I was very happy with my room.
Cons: This is really only if you are looking deeper into details. The overall experience was excellent. The doors for the toilets are a bit funny, they have the slow closing mechanism on them, so you have to pull real hard against the force to close the door. If you really have to go (like I did) both the first door and your toilet door will close in slow motion whilst you are ... Doing your business and if someone walks passed they can see right through to you sitting there.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amenities
Cons: Mattress too thin
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right in the heart of Hiroshima, close to shopping and tourist attractions. The capsule pods were comfortable. The lockers are locked via NFS chips and are large enough to store a carry-on suitcase and a few other things. The toilets and showers were clean and modern.
Cons: The showers turn off automatically after about 10 seconds, which gets a bit annoying, but helps with reducing water use.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: First time trying a capsule hotel, it was fun and surprisingly comfortable. Everything is well organized, they definitely have thought of all the details for the guests. The facility is very clean, lots of locals stay there too, even businessmen. Wish we have something like this back home for a hangover night, lol!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean room and i loved the amenities

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and spacious for Japan
Cons: Parking not ideal
6.0 Good
Cons: We struggled terribly with the temp in the room. We were told they were doing the hole buildings temp so you couldnt change it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a room on the 23th floor with an queen-size bed and an amazing view on the harbour. The restaurant is situated on the 25th floor and brings that view at both sides of the city/hotel. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. Just a 8 minute walk to Hiroshima peace park.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is very well equipped and superbly clean. Tourists free loop bus stop is right in front. Walking distance to many sightseeing places eg Hiroshima war museum and shopping area.
Cons: The room is a bit small
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location good value for money
Cons: Aircon couldn’t be adjusted to suit
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Staff helpful and lovely. It’s an old hotel that’s been refurbished.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely surprise: super friendly staff and the rooms were spotless and in excellent repair. Comfy beds with a choice of Japanese or western style pillows. Fluffy towels. Super location if you are heading to the Peace Park (a must).
Cons: Only criticism was the rooms were very warm; the AC didn’t seem to work so 20 felt lit about 26. We turned ours off but room still stayed too warm.
6.7 Good
Pros: 5 min walk to shinsaibashi shopping arcade. Rooms were a good size.
Cons: Bathroom had a bad smell from the drains. Staff weren’t as helpful as we would have liked-asked to borrow a knife to cut some fruit and I was told they didn’t have one, we asked for softer pillows at reception but were told they didn’t have them but when we called housekeeping they said they did, we asked them to help us book a shuttle and they said they couldn’t.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient to the Hiroshima Ferry Port for our trip the next morning.
Cons: Check in staff couldn't find my reservation for a number of minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: They ferry to Miyajima is about 1800 yen per trip ,my suggestions is, if you have your Japan Rail Pass you can travel for free from Hiroshima station.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a great hotel with amazing views if you pay that little extra for them. The top level though is absolutely beautiful. With nearly 360 degree views on the ocean, mountains and city!
Cons: The facilities such as the gym and hot pools and what not are actually an extra charge on top of what you pay for your room. Not included in the price you pay and we paid for a king premium room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is unique with either pretty views of the sea, or ugly views of the port.
Cons: The quality of our accommodation was poor for one reason. The room was over 25c so we cooked, couldn’t sleep due to the warmth. We contacted reception, virtually no one spoke English which has been fine on our trip, but made raising our issue challenging. The issue was initially fixed after two hours, the despite the thermostats being set to 18 the room rose back to 25c. Unbearable. Just avoid. Hiroshima itself is fabulous and must be visited however.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The views from the hotel room were nice and the bathtub has a view of the ocean. Very beautiful hotel on the inside. Room prices were quite worth the money for a group of people.
Cons: Our room was in an awkward corner and the shape was very strange - also not much food nearby and quite expensive to eat and do things at the hotel itself
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The city view from the bay was great. The transportation service to Miyajima and Hiroshima station. The personal service
Cons: The room’s furniture looks old fashioned.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Incredible views from Ujina Island, a good variety of restaurants and an impressive lobby all contribute to the vision of luxury this high rise hotel offers its guests. Though quiet in winter the hotel still offers dedicated service and clean, well contained rooms. A ferry from the hotel to Miyajima Island is available for a fee. A free shuttle service from JR Hiroshima Station to the hotel is indispensably useful for those arriving by train.
Cons: Facilities and restaurants are on the pricier side, so whilst you might wander through the facilities expect to pay up for the atmosphere and comfort provided. Decor is only ever slightly dated.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, staff and value
Cons: Location. Around $23 for a taxi. Didn't find out about the free hotel shuttle or bus $2.40 until after
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to the water and ferry to miyajima
Cons: Far from the train station

Pros: It is a short walk to the peace park and surrounding memorials Staff were efficient and friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal. Room was spotless clean. Typical, small, Japanese room but comfortable bed with a fridge and kettle. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Price was very reasonable. I would recommend to anyone looking to do the usual tourist things in Hiroshima to stay here. 5 minute walk to the Peace Park and museum. Fuel up on the huge breakfast buffet and you are good to go.
Cons: Fairly typical Japanese hotel - room was small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location next to Peace Museum and Peace Park. The staff helped me with all my problems and questions. Would totally stay here again if I ever come back to Hiroshima
Cons: The room was small, but not unexpected, and was enough for me.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfectly satisfactory for a nights stay in Hiroshima. Only a 7 min walk over bridge to the peace museum.
Cons: The bar on ground floor to rear or reception had a strange policy for buying drinks. You had to buy tokens as such to exchange for drinks. Very limited plus the chap on duty there was not very welcoming or helpful at all, pity.

Pros: The room was very spacious , clean and the bed was especially comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to the Hiroshima museum and to several resteraunts in the area. But above all, the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to help us. Can't recommend them enough!

Overview Reviews
Located in Hiroshima (Naka Ward), Hotel Park Side Hiroshima Peace Park is within a 10-minute walk of Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Prime location to the peace park. Had great washing facilities which allowed us to catch up and get some clothing for the rest of our trip. Easy to get to and from with transport options close by.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was very good and everything was clean. There's free laundry service which was a bonus and the restaurant next door is excellent.
Cons: It was very old and there was only one very small lift which we had to sometimes queue for. The bed was quite small although it's supposed to be a double. It was ok for the price and the location justifies it, but we wouldn't stay again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our third time to stay in this hotel. Great improvement since our first time in October 2016 when the rooms then were dark and gloomy. Perfect location near the Peace Park and just a block away (5-min. walk) to Moto-yasu Pier for the Aqua-net high speed boat to Miyajima Island. Also a block away from Animate and very near the Hondori covered shopping street with all the countless dining options there. What else could be more convenient than that! Breakfast was great with such a diverse selection despite the tight buffet table. Will always stay here everytime I'm visitng Hiroshima.
Cons: The door locks are still the old keys with huge wooden keychains which you have to surrender at the front desk everytime you step out of the hotel. Maybe they can upgrade this to an access card door lock system in the future so you can keep the card with you throughout your stay. But this is very minor.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location: proximity to memorial park with lots of bars and cafes nearby. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: In some ways a lot of the other reviews summarise what we didn't like: tiny room, bed was too small for two people.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was as expected, clean and comfortable enough for one night with no problems. Location was good for me attending an event in the city centre.
Cons: It can't be helped but there wasn't any kind of view from the window. Room was pretty small but I expected it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Laundry on site for free
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, near Peace Park and the shops. The staff were friendly and the hotel clean.
Cons: The bedrooms are small but well designed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is good and staff is also friendly.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, directly at the peace memorial park and close to restaurants and shopping areas. It has everything you need, but minimal.
Cons: The room was a bit loud. You could hear conversations in the neighboring rooms and the street. Rooms could use some renovations.
