Great disappointment. We did not like anything of this property
Facilities, room, non professional staff, lack of attention to details, noisy place at night and mosquitos
The location was great - right on the beach and a short walk to town. The hotel restaurant was fantastic for both the food and service.
The bathroom could be made a bit more modern and the fact you had to pay for your hotel sunbeds.
Nice location and great staff. Room was spacious and quiet in a lovely spot. Great selection of activities which could be booked directly from the hotel.
Some minor problems with the AC.
The hotel has a nice territory full of flowers, growing grapes, green lawns. It is situated on the beach which is really nice. And you can lie on a lounge chair in the shade by the swimming pool and go to swim in the sea wherenever you like. The hotel is a 15 minutes walk from San Teodoro where you have a big choice of places to eat, souvenier shops, food shops, pubs and everything. This is a great advantage.
1. There was not enough light in my room to read in the evening. A big disappointment 2. There was no safe deposit box in the room. A huge inconvenience 3. Would have been nice to put a couple of glaces in the room to drink water from... 4. The fish restaurant of the hotel is certainly over-praized. There are places much better and much cheaper at the same time in San Teodoro
Crystal-clear sea water.
On the night of our arrival we were offered a room in a village 300 metres away and uphill from the hotel proper instead of a room "right on the beach" as the hotel description promotes. When we refused to stay in that room, after lengthy negotiations, we were offered a room for 1 night, close with the sea and with a promise to find for us a suitable location for the remainder of our 8-day stay there. Next day we were offered a seemingly excellent room, but little did we know what horror was awaiting us on the second night in this room. There is an open-air night club right across the street which every night(!) blasts rhythms from midnight until 6am with the power of several jet engines. The patrons of the night club emanate loud, wild screams and whistles as if they are tortured. It felt like we were visiting Hell. The vibrations were so strong that we had to move away from that room and stay awake the whole night at a safe distance! Not a word in the hotel description mentions this huge open-air night club that existed there for the last 20 years! The remaining 6 nights we spent in a room that had less noise and vibration from the night club, but had more noise from the staff, which had staff dormitories and food storage vis-a-vis our room, with the noise of the staff and carts keeping us awake past midnight and waking us early in the morning when they started fetching food for the restaurant. The restaurant is the only in the area and has a full monopoly, which leads to unacceptable prices. This was exacerbated by the absence of any kind of shops near the hotel grounds. The closest shop is unreachable by foot, there is no taxi service, so you have to use a private driver mediated by the hotel at a very high rate for such a relatively short driving distance. While the beach is nice, you have to pay 20€ for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. This information is not given anywhere - neither in the description, nor at the reception, nor at the beach. Never again!
