bad stuff, bad cleaning
Amazing location and views of the beach
Very dated, curtains were very thin with street lights shining into the room so no darkness at all, bathroom was far too small, tiny sink that you can’t even get both hands in to wash, struggled to even fit in the shower, toilet on edge of shower. Had to come out of bathroom to dry myself after showering.
Location. Nothing about the “hotel”. It was a hostel.
Location was really good and breakfast lovely.
Upon arriving before check-in time I asked if we could leave our bags at reception, by which the receptionist was quiet rude, saying we where the 3 lot of people turning up early and didn't know why we were their, I said 'we only wanted to drop our bags off as we had travelled by train, if you haven't got the facility then that's fine we'll carry them' she ranted a bit more and we let to enjoy our day. I must had that the rest of the staff were very good and helpful when we checked in later, had a few drinks and at breakfast. Room was tatty but I didnt expect much for the money paid.
It had a great sea view. Which is rare for a single room. And the shower was powerful.
I could here my neighbour snore throughout the night. Entertainment went on way past the allotted 10.30pm. The wall next to where I was sleeping seemed to be covered in bogeys. The balcony which attracted me to the place, was actually shared with my neighbour and not all that cordoned off from the people on the other side so there was hardly any privacy. The lift wasn’t working and the signs showing you to your rooms were wrong, somehow. I spent s good 15 mins looking in the wrong part of the hotel for my elusive room number. Don’t stay here it’s impersonal and bad quality for what is available in Shanklin for a cheaper ticket price and much better service.
